Put into bat first, Tata Power were bowled out for 227 in 34.5 overs. Akhand Singh starred with the bat for Tata power with a stellar 104 off 75, including 12 boundaries and a six. Singh, 19, is a wicket-keeper and opening batter, who also plays for Wellington Cricket Club. For Jaslok Hospital, Nitin Solanki was the wrecker-in-chief with the ball, as he snapped 42/4 in nine overs.
In reply, Jaslok Hospital made heavy weather of the run chase as they were skittled for a paltry 117 in 32 overs. They lost the match by 110 runs. Souvenir Cricket Club crushed thane Friends Union Cricket Club by 146 runs during their Mumbai Junior Shield clash. Souvenir Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat at Azad Maidan, Mumbai, on January 29.
Riding on triple half-centuries from Mayuresh Kulaye (95), Shantanu Tandale (76), and Omkar Ghadigaonkar (50), Souvenir Cricket Club posted a mammoth 345/8 in 44 overs. While Kulaye hammered eight boundaries, Tandale smashed six fours, with Ghadigaonkar hitting six boundaries and two sixes. For Thane Friends Union Cricket Club, Sangram Shirke was the pick of the bowlers. Shirke scalped 69/3 in eight overs.
In reply, Thane Friends Union Cricket Club were restricted to 199/7 in 39.5 overs, losing the match by 146 runs. Aditya Gangare (52) and Sangram Shirke (58 not out) fought hard with their valiant knocks; however, the duo failed to see their side home. For Sovenir Cricket Club, Rohan Bane wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming 44/4 in nine overs.
In a high-scoring contest, Paramount Cricket Club pipped SKP Athletic Club by 15 runs during the Mumbai Junior Shield 2022-23. Paramount Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat at Matunga Gymkhana on January 26.
Riding on Kunal Gawand’s stellar century, Paramount Cricket Club posted a daunting total of 335/6 in 45 overs. Gawand, a right-handed batter, muscled 105 off 81, including 13 boundaries and two sixes. Jitesh Purabiya (57) and Parag Patil (54 not out) were the other major contributors with the bat for Paramount Cricket Club. For SKP Athletic Club, Ayush Mishra, Patrick Mahida, Akash Mali, Sahil Dhoble, Yuvraj Shinde, and Aman Yadav claimed one wicket each.
In reply, SKP Athletic Club fought hard and scored 320/7 in 45 overs; however, they fell shy of just 15 runs. Captain Sumit Mishra led the run chase from the front with an unbeaten 101 off 61 that saw six boundaries and seven sixes. Mishra’s valiant effort went in vain as SKP Athletic Club failed to cross the line. Chaitanya Patil also chipped in with a useful 77 off 76 for SKP Athletic Club. Put into bat first, Vile Parle Sports Club were bowled out for 171 in 43 overs. Opening batter Nishant Furia top-scored with 39 off 52, including five boundaries, for Vile Parle Sports Club. For Maskati Cricket Club, Akshay Bhowad wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming 30/5 in nine overs, including two maidens.
In reply, Maskati Cricket Club completed the formalities in 38.2 overs and won the match by six wickets. Akshay Bhowad was at the helm of the run chase with an undefeated 65 off 83 that saw seven hits to the fence and two over it. For Vile Parle Sports Club, Mihir Pasad and Shreyansh Veera were the most successful bowlers, with two wickets apiece.
Railways registered a comprehensive win by an innings and 56 runs against Gujarat during their Elite Group D Ranji Trophy clash. The match was played from January 24 to 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground in Ahmedabad.
Batting first, Railways posted a mammoth 508 in 116.4 overs. The opening pair of Shivam Chaudhary (83) and Vivek Singh (97) stitched a 142-run partnership to lay a solid foundation for the Railways. After the fall of Shivam’s wicket, Pratham Singh (96) joined hands with Vivek. Later in the innings, captain Upendra Yadav (79) and Yuvraj Singh (50) struck half-centuries to take Railways beyond the 500-run mark. For Gujarat, Chintan Gaja and Hardik Patel were the most successful bowlers, with four wickets apiece.
In reply, Gujarat were bowled out for 205 in 59.1 overs. Hemang Patel top-scored with 39 for Gujarat. On the other hand, Himanshu Sangwan wreaked havoc with the ball for the Railways, claiming 75/4 in 17 overs, including two maidens. Trailing by 303, Railways imposed a follow-on on Gujarat.
Batting again, Gujarat failed to click as a unit as they were bundled out for 247 in 69.3 overs. Gujarat’s captain Het Patel was the lone warrior in the fight with a gritty 84. On the other hand, for Railways, Akash Pandey scalped 65/6 in 21.3 overs, including three maidens. Sangwan, who opened the bowling for Railways, chipped in with 19/1 in six overs, including one maiden. He won the player of the match award.

Bryan plays cricket for Warwickshire County in the UK. He played U10s in 2021 and U11s 2022. He’s automatically through to the U12 squad in the 2023 season which starts in April and has already started winter training at the county. Bryan captained both U10s and U11s for the County. He’s named “The Anchor” for his supreme ability to stabilize the innings and yet score runs at a brisk rate.
Bryan also plays cricket for his local club for Walmley CC and represented their U11’s through to U15s in 2022. He finished the season as;
– Leading wicket taker across all age groups
– Top 10 run scorer across all age groups
– Leading fielder across all age groups

Bryan also led Walmley U11s to win Burton & District Youth League Cup in June 2022. The batsman finished the season with 1254 runs whilst bagging 84 wickets with his left arm pace bowling and 47 dismissals in the field. A complete dominant performance in all 3 departments, won him the player of the season award at his local club.

Bryan has bagged a number of sponsorship deals in 2022, with Paytr for his shoes and SM cricket for his equipment.

RCC Navi Mumbai Panvel handed a crushing seven-wicket defeat to A1 Cricket Club during the finals of Champions League 2023 on January 22. A1 Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat at the Roadpali Sports Complex in Panvel.
Batting first, A1 Cricket Club were restricted to 125/9 in 20 overs. The opening pair of captain Niraj J (36) and Mayank Ranjan (22) gave a good start but did not receive much support from the rest. Towards the end, Ajit Singh chipped in with an unbeaten 28 for A1 Cricket Club. On the other hand, Arib Bilal Dorare was the pick of the bowlers for RCC Navi Mumbai Panvel, accounting for 29/3 in four overs.
In reply, RCC Navi Mumbai Panvel overhauled the target in 15.2 overs and won the match by seven wickets. Mayank Kumar starred with the bat scoring a 41-ball 50, smashing eight boundaries and a six.
