JSW Vs NABARD SPORTS CLUB
Tournament – Times Shield F Division | Venue :- Mahim Juvenile ground, Shivaji Park | Date : 7 Mar 2015
This was a day when everything went JSW cricket team’s way, batting first JSW scored an imposing 347- 6. Skipper Rakesh Chaudhary 176(134) and Rajesh Pingulkar 90(81) supported each other well and scored runs on all sides of the ground. Rakesh c in particular was in great form and every shot seemed to cross the boundary with ease.
Nabard bowlers who stood out were Vikas Sathe 9-49-3wickets and Suresh Koli 9-74-3wickets.
It was a huge total to chase for Nabard Sports Club from the word go. And one would have assumed that JSW team would be a bit complacent with such a huge total to defend. However that was not the case. Nabard team openers, Nilesh Bagwe 18(39) and R.Nemane 22(37) started off cautiously however in the end they scored a paltry 127 in less than 30 overs.
JSW bowling performance
Kailash Rathi – 7-30-3 wickets; Ranjit Pillai 9-02-42-3wickets ; Rakesh Chaudhary 3-13-3wickets

Every cricketer aspires to play for the Indian cricket team someday in their life. There are players who at times complain about not having the right guidance, lack of direction, not getting the platform to showcase their talent and their dreams die a natural death. Cricketgraph’s Hyderabad representative Sai Pavan got a chance to talk to Mr. Chekuri Venkat , a district representative of Telangana state cricket association. Here are some excerpts of their conversation, which could help a cricketer to understand the way to represent Indian cricket team.
The first step to get noticed is to start playing leagues / tournaments under HCA (Hyderabad Cricket Association). HCA selectors are impressed mainly with the performances under these hca tournaments than any other tournaments. Currently there are 216 cricket clubs in Hyderabad, which means a player should ideally play from one of these 216 affiliated clubs. If a player performs well in these leagues, he gets an opportunity to represent Hyderabad Ranji cricket matches. The best part is there is no age limit! If a player performs consistently well in Ranji matches, he gets promoted to Zonal level. So if the player is from Hyderabad Ranji team, he will get an offer to represent South Zone. This is when the player gets undivided focus from BCCI selectors. BCCI selectors would then select players to represent the ultimate –Indian Cricket Team. Top 2 teams from all zones get selected as the winners and runners up and they end up playing more matches as compared to other zones. This also means the more matches you play, more chances a player gets to perform and get noticed.
There are broadly 3 different types of Ranji matches
- 4 day matches
- ODI’s (One Day Internationals)
- T20 ( recently introduced)
As per the players caliber / performance he will be placed amongst the above 3 types.
Mr. Venkat offered a small piece of advice for a cricketer who wishes to play in IPL team – To wisely select a low rated team in the first place which would ensure the player certainly gets to play maximum matches and prove his mettle.

A Happy Morning All! One of the Most Exciting Cups, among the Telugu Film Industry this time rippled by the Telugu Dubbing Artists Association for an Annual 3-Day T20 Tournament at the Kittu Green ParkStadium near Langerhouse at Hyderabad.A merely a fondly ground for even an ordinary spectator, which is well distinguished with the grass over the out field makes any individual to step into it. Being located at the pretty outskirts of the city, it is largely peaceful for all the teams to get rejoiced playing the professional game against any sort of team. However the 3 day tournament went on thankfully with 3 typical sides battling right through the short series. The 3 big teams Moon Lights(A), RCM Royals(B), followed by Sun Risers(C) had been a part of the Kittu Menorial Cup 2015, abbreviated as the KMC 2015. As the Defending Champions and the Title Favorites besides, the Powerful Moon Lights Team headed over the Revolutionay RCM Royals in the 1st match. With lots of overwhelming support for the Moon Lights campaign, they won quite comfortably against the Cold-Bloooded RCM Royals and were promoted for the Finals. In the 2nd match, which was also seemed to be the Semi-final, was played between the Title Winners, Sun Risers and the RCM Royals. Sun Risers faced a brilliant endeavour from the RCMs, but surprisingly the Sun Risers had the fruits of joy as they’d won under pressure in a close shave. On the whole, the first two matches with different variants of Drama in between, made the Moon Lights and the SunRisers to stand just a step before the Tournament Championship.
