- It was a match played between KSG Superiors vs Gurjar Sutar samah in the ongoing Kapole T20 cup. GSS team lost the toss and were asked to bat first. It seemed like a good toss to loose since GSS team ended up with a fighting total of 160/9 in 20 overs. Divyesh Jolapara scored a brilliant 50 and a cameo innings of 31 off 16 balls by Roshik Vadgawa , placed GSS comfortably at 160 with asking run rate of exactly 8 per over. Gaurang Parekh from KSG superiors picked up 3 wickets with his smart medium pace bowling.
KSG superiors lived upto their reputation this time too while chasing a total of 160. They lost only 1 wicket in the long chase, courtesy Gaurang Parkeh. 
They say form is temporary and class is permanent. Same can be said of Gaurang Parekh from KSG superiors team in the ongoing Kapole T20 cricket tournament. He seemed to be in some sort of hurry right from the start hitting 10 sixes and 8 Fours. Total of 160 was chased in only 12.3 overs. Had KSG superiors batters batted for the entire 20 overs, they could have easily scored in excess of 250 runs!
Scoring a century while chasing is no ordinary feat but doing that at a strike rate of 240 is PHENOMENAL. Gaurang P surely seems to be a man to watch out for in Kapole T20. He was unanimously nominated as Gaurang Parekh Man of the Match for the second time in this tournament .

Come Sunday and one finds ways and means of spending time and enjoying the day. On that day and away from office, one gives time to their families and near and dear ones to share their smiles and happiness. But at times as an individual spending time on a cricket ground and enjoying a game of cricket adds flavour to life. 
Two Corporate teams (Nokia and NFC)met on a cricket field at the 4th Corporate Cricket league,March 15th, 2015,at New Delhi for a T20 game and to test their cricketing skills.
Nokia won the toss and to make use of the conditions in terms of moisture on the pitch decided to bowl first. NFC were off to a very positive start with the top 3 batsman Harsh 27 runs (2 boundaries), Babbal with 31 with (4 boundaries) and Manish top scoring with 42 runs (3 boundaries and 1 six). They often say good start is the most important factor for any side posing a good total. Well NFC had a good start but Abhishek of Nokia had other ideas. He picked up wickets at regular intervals with a 3 wickets for 19 runs. Five of NFC batsman were run out. NFC innings folded at 151 in their allotted 20 overs with extras contributing second best with 32. A competitive total – one must say!
Nokia too had their problems but at their top order and with half side down with the score reading at 67, with Harsh and Devender doing the damage for NFC by picking 2 wickets each. In 20 overs version of the game, one good partnership puts things on track and Puneet 54 N.O (4 fours and one six) and Ravi 31 (4 fours) did the same. They put on 82 for the sixth wicket ( a huge one) and took the game away from NFC. Boundaries at regular intervals and rotation of the strike by Puneet and Harsh gave NFC bowlers no chance of coming back in the game and in the end Nokia emerged winners by 4 wickets. Puneet was named the Man of the Match. 
Certainly Team Nokia had reasons to smile and share their cricketing moments of the day with their families when they went back home. I am sure they might have celebrated the day too.

Batting first Youths own club scored 263 runs from their allotted 45 overs. Opener Akshay Thakur scored a good knock of 65 runs off 71 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes . Ranjoo Koshy also contributed well in the middle order scoring 53 runs off 54 balls. He hit 7 fours and one six. Amar Bandhe remained not out for 37 runs off 49 balls. Overall it was a good display of batting by all batters from Youths own club.
Young Men’s Muslim Association crawled their way up to score 158, falling short by over 100 runs. Akshay Thakur scapled 3 wickets with his off spiners.
In the end it was a comfortable win for Youths Own club in their second match of kanga league knock outs.

Union CC won the toss and let Gay Cavelliers club to bat first. It seemed like any other match of Kanga League. Union CC didn’t know what had struck them and the entire team stood as mere spectators in awe of massive stroke play by fearless Mahesh Hirpara who
scored 144 runs off just 88 balls. He hit 21 rocket fours and one massive six. He was brilliantly supported at the other end by Tushar Koli. Tushar k scored 88* runs off 112 balls with help of 7 fours. Mahesh innings overshadowed the unbeaten knock of Tushar. However Tushar seemed pleased with his performance and unselfishly enjoyed Mahesh’s glory. In the end,
Gay Cavelliers club scored an imposing total of 315 in 45 overs.
All the bowlers of Union CC appeared mediocre and all of them
were hit for runs by Gay Cavelliers club.
Union CC batters succumbed at regular intervals. They could only manage 139 runs in 29 overs. Yash Jadhav 31r(42b)and Makrand Pandhe48r(44b) looked strong with a good partnership of 78 however the run out of Mankrand turned the game around.
Machindra Arote the quicky from Gay Cavelliers club bowled his heart out bowling 9 overs 24 runs and scalped 4 wickets.
However the day belonged to Mahesh H who lived up to his reputation of hard hitter. In the end Gay Cavelliers won by 176 runs.

Cleartrip won the toss and decided to put The Sports Gurkul (TSG) team to bat first. This was the first ever match of TSG in any corporate tournament and TSG openers got off to a steady and cautious start . Left handed batsman Paresh Kothari looked in good touch and played a cameo innings of 18 runs off 20 balls hitting a massive six. Moses Bandela played a gutsy knock of 29(22) in the tail end of the innings to end TSG score to a respectable total of 133/10 in 20 overs. The other stand out performance was that off Swapnil Rawool who scored a quick fire 19 off 14 balls.
Prabhat Prasad from cleartrip finished with 4-17-3 wickets . Sohil bowled 2 overs and picked up 3 wickets giving away 8 runs.
Cleartrip openers started off sensibly and picked up runs at every opportunity presented to them. Faiyaz Fatye scored a brilliant 36 off 27 balls ( 5 fours and 1 six) before getting trapped on lbw off Swapnil’s bowling. Prabhat Prasad scored 29 off 23 balls. In the end cleartrip won by 3 wickets and one must say TSG team fought well till the end by dragging the match to 18.5 overs.
Swapnil Rawool bowled 4 overs picked up 3 wickets and gave away 21 runs. Satya D ended with 4 overs 18 runs and scalped 2 wickets.
Cleartrip won by 3 wickets with one over to spare. Prabhat Prasad was adjudged man of the match.
On 14th Mar’2015, it was a day of Queens Necklace to get a Victory against Bombay Bayview (Bashers) by 5 wickets in Jagdish Khanna Cricket Tournament 2014-2015. The match was played between Queens Necklace & Bombay Bayview (Bashers) at Prabhodhankar Thakre Ground (Goregaon). 
After winning the toss, Bombay Bayview decided to Bat first and they managed a score of 115 runs in 16 Overs (with fall of 5 wickets). The highlights of the batting side was Dipen (32 runs), Satyen (30* runs), Kalpesh (19 runs). Queens Necklace managed to get 117 runs in last over with 3 balls remaining after losing 5 wickets. Out of 5, 3 wickets of Queens collapsed in the same over of Dhrumal in 3 consecutive balls. Dhrumal took Hat trick in his 2nd over and kept a competition alive for Bombay Bayview. To mention, it was a thrilling over by Dhurmal and he really gave a fight back in the game. However, Queens batsmen Vinay (20* runs), Sanjeev (25 runs), Sameer (35 runs*) set aside a score board moving and they got the victory for Queens in the 16th Over.
Man of the match was Vinay who played a crucial innings to give a victory to his team!
One run. One ball. One wicket. It was that close between Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies & Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College. In the end it was SSCBS who held their nerve to clinch the nail biting thriller by 1 wicket in Delhi University inter college knock outs.
The match was reduced to 30 overs a side due to a delayed start due to wet pitch conditions. ARSD captain Deepswar Tyagi won the toss and opted to bat first despite the conditions favoring the bowling. ARSD managed 152 runs for the loss of 9 wickets at the end of their stipulated 30 overs. Captain Tyagi top scored with 41 (47 balls, 5×4) with good support from Abhishek Gosai (36 runs, 41 balls, 4×4) and Anil Thapa (30 runs, 35 balls, 2×4, 1×6). SSCBS captain Nikhil Yadav rotated his bowlers very well and ARSD could not really increase the tempo of their innings. Everyone chipped in with the wickets with 4 bowlers sharing 2 wickets each and a solitary wicket going to the captain.
The chase was never going to pose a big challenge against a strong batting line up of SSCBS but despite the efforts of their captain Nikhil (76 runs, 72 balls, 9×4, 2×6) and Samyak Jain (30 runs, 34 balls, 2×4), the match went to the last ball where anything could have happened. As many as 15 extras were given by ARSD bowlers. Viswajeet was the best bowler taking 3 wickets and giving away just 22 runs in his 6 overs.
The turning point of the match was when Nikhil Yadav was caught out on the boundary off the bowling of Akash Dubey off a NO Ball. He then smashed a six and four in the same over bringing the equation down to below 20 runs. SSCBS though did make their life difficult my losing wickets quickly towards the business end of the match but Anuj Rana of SSCBS held his nerve and got the ball through the infield and won the match for his team.

Born on 1st August’1972, Sir Chandrashekhar has completed 42 years of his life. Started playing Cricket at the age of 13 years, he played various tournaments during his School and College days. He is proud today to mention that he has played under Captaincy of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar in 1987-88 for Under-15 Mumbai Cricket team. His other achievement is representing for Thane District Team in “Satkar & Sport Star Trophy”. He has played Club Cricket in “A” and “B” division tournaments.
Due to his enthusiasm towards Cricket, he started Cricket Coaching under name of Kwality Sports Club at Dadoji Konddev Stadium in Thane in year 2003. We are happy to mention that in today’s world of high cost towards Cricket Learning, Sir Chandrashekhar is giving a free of cost Cricket Training including Cricket Kits in his coaching camp to the financially deprived children’s at his own cost!
Sir Chandrashekhar feels happy to state that, from his Thane Coaching Club, 2-3 students has played Division “A” tournaments. His big achievement as coach is, his one of the student “Jaideep Pardeshi” represented as a Vice Captain for Under-16 & Under-19 Mumbai Cricket Team. In the present year, Jaideep has represented Under-23 Mumbai team.
His another Student “Vaibhav Mali” represented Under-19 Mumbai Team. Last year Vaibhav had made a record of scoring a fastest Century in 36 balls in MIPL Cricket Tournament at Bhiwandi. Recently Vaibhav has been selected for 2 senior T-20 practice match teams out of which, he has been selected in one of the team as player.
Sir Chandrashekhar has extended his high quality experience as a Cricket Coach to Corporate Cricket teams like “Piramal Enterprises” and “Abbott Healthcare Private Limited”.
Sir Chandrashekhar started his corporate coaching career with “Piramal Enterprises” in 2008. He receives full support during the cricket coaching camps from all his team members including top management members of Piramal Group; Mr. Anand Piramal (Executive Director) and Mr. R. Aravindan (General Manager) who are a team members. Another proud moment for Sir Chandrashekhar during coaching camps is receiving a respect “SIR” from the Top Management members (mentioned above) of the Piramal Enterprise Group. It clearly indicates the respect and sincerity towards Sir Chandrashekhar.
After starting coaching with “Piramal Enterprise”, Sir Chandrashekhar started coaching with “Abbott Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.” In 2011. From this team as well, Sir received complete support and respect from all the members including Mr. A. Rehman Siddiqui and top management members like Mr. Praveen Singh (General Manager).
Both the above corporate teams faced challenge of time restriction for practice since all employees were busy during the week days due to office work. Hence practice is done only on Saturdays & Sundays. Hence this was a big challenge for Sir Chandrashekhar considering the fitness requirement of players during the matches of 20 / 35 / 45 overs. But this difficulty is overcome by Sir, by guiding the players to maintain their fitness by doing day to day exercise for atleast 15 minutes. Also both the teams are doing the practice at Shivaji Park next to each other, it makes easy for Coach Sir to merge the players from both teams. This gives a good exposure and experience to players.
After starting the coaching to above corporate teams, the winning percent of the teams has increased from 10% to 75% because of the hard work performed by the team members with the help of Coach Sir. The hardwork of Sir Chandrashekhar is proving day by day!

Every victory sounds sweet and every defeat painful, more so if you win a match from losing position or lose from a winning position. The proof of the same is the outcome of the match between R.C. Bombay club and R.C .Nariman Point on March 8th, 2015 at the Lions Cricket Ground, Mumbai.
It was good all round bowling performance by R.C. Nariman with Ravi R. the most successful bowler with 3 wickets and Mehul Gada and Mayur Maroo chipping with 2 wickets each to restrict their opponents.
