In the final of Dreamz Trophy Elite Group Plate Division, HUL displayed some high quality cricket to defeat their opponents Deutsche Bank by 6 wickets and win the trophy. After an excellent team bowling effort, that restricted the opposition to a below par total, HUL batsmen kept the game in control and won it comfortably with almost 4 overs to spare.

HUL captain Sachin won the toss and considering the dampness in the pitch, opted to bowl first. His decision was spot on as they got the wicket of opener Siddharth on the very first ball of the match. All the HUL bowlers bowled with a tight line and length and were well supported by their fielders. As a result, Deutsche Bank could not really boost up the run rate. This is evident from the fact that No. 3 Vishi took 36 balls for his 21. It was only due to Abhishek’s quick fire 19 ball 30 and some last overs hitting from Gaurav and Rahul took them past 120. Respectable total yet unsafe. Sanjay and Nilesh captured a couple of wickets each while Rajesh picked up a solitary wicket.
126 was relatively an easy target to win the match and more importantly the tournament. But HUL did not have a great start to their innings either as they lost their openers early in the innings. But Dhiraj and Rajesh held the innings together and took the game away from the opposition with some excellent batting display. Dhiraj scored a match winning knock of 43 while Rajesh remained unbeaten on 33 from just 21 balls. He sealed the game for his team by hitting a huge six in the 17th over. Deutsche bowlers could not do much while defending a low score and match was lost well before it ended.

With this, HUL are the winners of Dreamz White Ball Tournament. Dhiraj Shetty won the man of the match award for his superb batting display while Rajesh Jadhav grabbed the best bowler title.
While speaking to CricketGraph, HUL skipper Sachin said, “We bowled really well and our fielding made the difference. After we lost our first wicket, Dhiraj batted well along with Rajesh to take us home. We are really happy to win the tournament.”

Summary
L & T: 178/7 in 20 overs (Abhimanyu 48, Faizan 41, Shamim 3/26)
Learn Quest: 144 All out in 19.5 overs (Vishal 47, Rohan 23, Siddhesh 2/6, Faizan 2/11)
Match Report:
A match defining opening partnership followed by some spirited bowling performance helped Larsen & Toubro win the Dreamz Champions Trophy Regular B Title by defeating Learn Quest in the final.

Surprisingly enough, not a single half century was scored in the match from either side, despite the match not being a low scoring one. L & T won the toss and decided to put runs on the board. What happened next became the highlight of the innings and the match. Openers Faizan and Abhimanyu gave their team a rollicking start by plundering 108 runs in just 11.2 overs before being separated. Faizan was particularly aggressive smashing 41 runs from just 23 balls. Abhimanyu scored a 37 ball 48. Both fell to Shamim in the 12th over.
No. 4 Siddhesh did not let their effort go in vain and scored a quick fire 19 ball 27. Learn Quest bowlers were able to control the batsmen towards the end and prevented them from scoring what was looking a comfortable 200. Shamim picked up 3 wickets Nikhil scalped a couple of wickets for his team.
179 was a stiff target to chase but Learn Quest started well by scoring 32 runs in 4 overs. After Ankur fell, Vishal and Rohan maintained a steady run rate and took the score to 76 in just 8 overs. At the halfway mark Learn Quest were 3 down for 93. Things were in control and wickets were remaining for the final onslaught.

But here is where L&T bowlers turned the game on its head. Wickets fell in a heap and none of the lower half of the batting line up could cross double digits and were all out on the penultimate ball of the match and 34 runs short of the target. Vishal top scored with 47 and Rohan scored 23.
Credit should go to the bowlers to bringing their team back in the match and making it look one-sided at the end. They bowled superbly to curb the flow of runs and pick wickets at the same time. Faizan, Siddhesh and Vetrivel captured a couple of wickets each.
Shoeb from L & T says, “We always wanted to start positively. We basically tried to keep everything simple and at the same time be aggressive. We stuck to our strengths. We got to a flying start from our openers and we were able to put a good score on the board to defend and our bowlers responded very well. Learn Quest played well and gave us a good fight. It was just a matter of putting everything together as a team and we did that with perfection. We were here to win and we have done it in style.”
Awards:
Man of the match: Faizan (L & T); Man of the Series: Abhimanyu (L & T); Best Batsman: Ashish More (Learn Quest); Best Bowler: Nikhil (Learn Quest)
