JPCC defeated Madras Cricket Club by 5 wickets in the 2nd Baba Gopichand Awana Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament.

Batting first, Madras Club scored 161 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Yash Sehrawat contributed with 48 runs while Surender Dahiya played a good knock of 38. Subodh Bhati picked up 3/24 and played an important role in restricting the opposition to a modest total.
In reply, riding on opener Ankit Dabas’ swashbuckling century (100), JPCC easily overhauled the required target with 5 wickets to spare. Ankit’s innings single handedly took the game away from Madras Club.

Madras Cricket Club defeated Star Cricket Academy by 81 runs and grabbed 4 crucial points in the 2nd Ravindra Malhotra Cricket Tournament.
Batting first, Madras Club put up a good show with the bat and scored 269 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 40 overs. Vaibhav Kandpal scored a brilliant 89, Shaurya Saran contributed with 73 while Sufiyan Vani also scored 50. Devesh Rajput picked up 5 wickets for 49 runs for Star.
In reply, Star Cricket Academy were all out for 188 runs in 39 overs. They could not withstand a superb spell from Mohamman Taushif who grabbed 5 wickets for 42 runs and sealed the game for his team.

Dhaka Cricket Academy, Delhi won the 6th All India Var Sports Cricket Tournament by defeating KG Colts by 2 runs (D/L Method) in Under 15 category.
In the final match curtailed by rain, Dhaka Cricket Academy batted first and scored 108 runs in 20 overs. Aditya Singh scored 28, Daksh Vij 20. Sanchit captured 5 wickets for KG Colts and played an important role in restricting Dhaka to a modest total.
As rain emerged as spoilsport, KG Colts were given a revised target of 33 runs in 6 overs. But in what was a dramatic performance by Dhaka bowlers, led by Ujjwal Sapra who took 7 wickets, they restricted KG Colts to 31 run in 6 overs with 8 wickets down and won the match by 2 runs.
It was an absolute cracker of a match. 33 runs in 6 overs is a cake walk on most days but this was not one of them. Ujjwal Sapra literally demolished KG Colt’s innings and picked up 7 out of 8 wickets to fall.
Fittingly, Ujjwal Sapra was adjudged the Best Bowler. Aditya Singh bagged the Man of the Series Award. Best Emerging player was given to Vansh Bedi of Dhaka Cricket Academy.

DDCA Talent Search Under 16 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Former International player and National Selector- Sh. Yashpal Sharma at the FerozShah Kotla Stadium on Sunday.
Other dignitaries present at the occasion were Sh. Anil Jain (Jt. Sports Secretary, DDCA), Sh. Naresh Sharma, Sh. Vijay Bahadur Mishra, Sh. Ashok Katyal, Sh. Padam Chauhan, Sh. Arun Mahajan, Sh. Vinod Katyal and others.
Sh. Anil Jain said, ” 78 private clubs have been divided into 13 groups of 6 each. Every club will get to play 5 league matches each and every match will of 50 overs per innings. Rain affected matches will be postponed.”

*Due to heavy rain, the first match between Roop Nagar Cricket Club and Mishra Sports Club has been postponed.

Rohtak Road Gymkhana defeated Telefunken Club in 3rd Sanjeev Ahuja Under 13 Cricket Tournament and earned four important points.
Batting first, Rohtak Road Gymkhana scored 184 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 35 overs. Harshil Jain played a wonderful knock of unbeaten 87 runs.
In reply, Telefunken Club could only manage 82 runs thanks to some excellent bowling by Pranav (3/27) and Kabir (2/11) and lost the match.

Surinder Khanna Academy defeated KN Colts by a huge margin of 110 runs in 2nd Chaman Raj Ravitosh Memorial Cricket Tournament.
Batting first, Surinder Khanna Academy put up total of 225 runs riding on Naresh Saini’s excellent knock of 77 runs. He was well supported by Aditya Yadav who contributed with 49 runs.
In reply, KN Colts were all out for 115 runs and lost the match by 110 runs.

In DDCA League, Mishra Sports defeated Young Delhi easily by 9 wickets.
Batting first, Young Delhi were demolished by some excellent bowling by Vikas Mishra who grabbed 5/43 and Kartik Pawar’s 3/18 and were all out for 115 runs.
In reply Mishra Sports reached the target in just 15 overs with as many as 9 wickets to spare.

In 2nd Baba Gopichand Awana T20 Cricket Tournament, Rajasthan Realtors defeated RB Academy by 8 wickets.
Batting first, RB Academy were all out for just 107 runs in 19.5 overs. Ajay Chauhan bowled a superb spell capturing 4 wickets for 19 runs.
In reply, Riding on Yash Chauhan’s unbeaten 66 runs, Rajasthan easily chased down the target in the 14th over with 8 wickets to spare.

In the final of 2nd GOC Cricket Tournament, Sonnet Cricket Club defeated SC Academy by 22 runs to win the title.
Batting first, Sonnet CC scored 192 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 30 overs. Vathsal Sharma played an excellent knock of 61 which Sanat Sangwan contributed with a well made 53.
In reply SC Academy could manage only 170 runs and were all all out inside 28 overs. Deepak Shukla grabbed 3 wickets for 47 runs and was the most successful bowler for his side.

With the help of fine bowing by international player Praveen Kumar who took 3 wkts, Oil and Natural Gas corp. (ONGC) lift the 42nd All India Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament 2015 after getting thrilling win of 3 runs over Air India in the close finished final match played here at Ferozshah Kotla ground, Delhi. Later national selector Saba Karim and Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Member of Parliament distributed the prizes in a function.

ONGC skipper Suhail Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. ONGC could score only 194 runs in 40 overs by losing 7 wkts with the help of good batting by young Nitish Rana 46 ( 4×4 b56), U.P. Ranji player Tanmay Srivastava 48 ( 3×4 , b 71) Sumit Narwal 32 not out ( 1×4 2×6 b27)and Radhey Shyam Gupta 22 ( 1×4 b37). Tanmay and Nitish Rana put on 68 runs for the 3rd wkts in 14.5 overs.
Veteran left arm spinner Sonu Sharma bowled well and took 4 wkts for 46 runs in 10 overs for Air India. Pace bowler Sanjay Pahal took 2 and Sarfraz took 1 wkts for Air India.

In reply Air India failed to cross the ONGC total and were all out for 191 runs in 39.5 overs and lost the closed finish final match by 3 runs. Air India scored these runs with the help of Manvinder Bisla 42 (4×4 b66), Rahul Yadav 27 (2×4 b42), Kunj Sharma 31 ( 1×4 2×6 b26) and Sonu Sharma 23 ( 2×6 b22).
In the last over which was bowled by Birender Singh Air India needed 7 runs to win the match but they added only 3 and last batsman Kunj Sharma was out on the bowling of Birender Singh and Air India lost the final match by 3 runs.
International player Praveen Kumar Man of the Match was the main wkt taker and he took 3 wkts for 25 runs. Sumit Narwal took 1 and Birender Singh took 2 wkts for 38 and off spinner Suhail Sharma took 2 wkts for 35 runs for ONGC.
