Telefunken Club defeated Sonnet Cricket Club by 4 wickets to enter the semi-final of DDCA Hot Weather Cricket Tournament. Shiva Singh and IPL star Yuzvendra Chahal ran through the batting line up of Sonnet, sharing seven wickets among themselves resulting in an easy victory for their team.

Batting first, Sonnet were all out for just 148 runs in 33 overs. Vimhor Rana and Akash Yadav scored 32 runs each. Shiva Singh captured 4/24 while Yuzvendra Chahal captured 3/44.

Telefunken Club chased down the target in 37 overs and lost 6 wickets in the process. Pradeep Sharma and Deepak Khatri played unbeaten knocks of 34 and 27 runs respectively.

Sunil Dalal’s 3 wickets for 0 runs and Rohit Dubey‘s 2 wickets enabled RP Academy reach the quarterfinals of DDCA Hot Weather Cricket Tournament by defeating Rohtak Road Gymkhana.

Rohtak Road Gymkhana were reduced to just 75 all out in 18 overs thanks to a superb bowling show by RP Academy led by Sunil Dalal.

RP Academy easily chased down the total and confirmed their quarterfinal berth.

Riding on a superlative bowling show from Orissa Under 23 player, Ajit Kumar Yadav, Royal Scott emerged winners against DTU XI in their first match in DCL T20 Championship.

Batting first, DTU XI were reduced to a paltry score of 90 runs in 18.2 overs thanks to Yadav’s deadly bowling in which he captured 3 wickets. Vaibhav and Samridh contributed 24 and 23 runs respectively for DTU XI. Hitesh captured 2 wickets for Royal Scott.

In reply, Royal Scott easily chased down the target largely due to good batting performance of Devender Kumar (26) and Saurabh Rawat (41). Rubel picked up a solitary wicket.

In the first match of DCL T20 Championship, organized by Delhi Cricket League, Bhati XI easily defeated JP Institute of Technology by 6 wickets to open their account. Sunil Tyagi was the man of the match for picking up 3 wickets.

Batting first, JP Institute were all out for just 88 runs in 18 overs. Manish Sharma top scored with 41 runs. Sunil Tyagi picked up 3 while Vinay Gupta captured 2 wickets for Bhati XI.

In reply, Bhati XI easily chased down the target in the 15th over, losing 4 wickets in the process. Tasveer Alam top scored with 47 runs. Miraj & Vivek captured a wickets each for JP Institute but it was not enough to defend their low score.

Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has launched a bowling foundation after a long gap of 25 years in order to prepare top quality bowlers who can represent India later.

Australian bowling great, Jeff Thompson has been appointed as the head bowling coach. Spinners will be trained by former player Sairaj Bahutule.

30 pacers and 30 spinners, of 19 or more years of age will be selected for the foundation by the selection committee, that includes senior team coach Chandrakant Pandit, also headed by Milind Rege.

Shubham Bisht (173*) and Aditya Chaudhary (161) smashed flawless tons and made a mockery of Harvir Academy bowlers which resulted in a 312 run victory for Bal Bhawan Academy in Raj Dalal Memorial Under 13 Cricket Tournament.

Batting first, Bal Bhawan Academy racked up 413 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 35 overs. In reply Harvir Academy succumbed under the pressure and were all out for just 101 runs in 21.2 overs thereby losing the match by 312 runs.

This was Bal Bhawan’s first victory in the tournament.

RSB Sports defeated Marigold Academy, Noida by 8 wickets to enter the quarter-finals of 3rd Ram Yadav Memorial Cricket Tournament in style.

Batting first, Marigold were reduced to just 91 runs in 17 overs thanks to a deadly bowling combo of Prashant Yadav (4/16) and Keshav Pandey (3/19).

In reply, RSB easily chased down the target in just 11 overs with 8 wickets to spare. Priyanshu Sharma remained unbeaten on 45 runs and ensured his team crossed over the line with no major hiccups.

Riding on excellent batting efforts from Pratap Kumar and Utsav Madaan, Maulana Azad Club defeated Golden Hawks Club by 8 wickets in DDCA Hot Weather Tournament and moved into the second round.

Batting first, Golden Hawks were all out for mere 98 runs due to some accurate bowling by Maulana Azad bowlers.

In reply, Maulana Azad lost 2 early wickets but Pratap Kumar (42*) and Utsav Madaan (37*) ensured that there were no further hiccups and took their team over the line in just 13.5 overs.
