Rajinder Singh and Dhananjay shared all 10 wickets among themselves as Gyanti Academy defeated Mayank Academy by 4 wickets in the 2nd Jeet Singh Memorial Tournament to enter the semi-final.
Batting first, Mayank Academy were done in by a deadly bowling combo of Rajinder (6/25) and Dhananjay (4/13) and were all out for just 123 runs.
In reply, riding on excellent half-centuries from Prince Mehra (51) and Himanshu (50), Gyanti Academy chased down the target with 4 wickets to spare.

Collage Sports took full advantage of their red hot form and walked away with the championship title of DDCA Hot Weather Cricket Tournament 2015. The man of the match was bagged by Parmod Chandela who hit a sparkling knock of 92 runs from just 88 balls and helped his team win by 33 runs against a strong FCI side. FCI’s Umang Sharma’s superb all round effort went in vain. He scored 42 runs and picked up 6 wickets for just 7 runs.
Batting first, Collage Sports were all out for 167 runs in 29.4 overs. Parmod Chandela top scored with 92 whereas Rahul Dagar also scored a well made half century. But the rest of the batting just fell prey to Umang Sharma who picked up 6 wickets without giving away almost anything.
In reply, FCI were restricted to 134 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Umang Sharma shone with the bat too as he was the top scorer with 42 runs. Mayank Sidhana contributed with 37. But the asking rate kept increasing and they were unable to take their team over the line. Collage Sports’ Ankit Chaudhary captured 2 wickets and also helped in putting brakes to FCI’s innings.

Delhi under 23 and Sonnet CC player Rahul Chowdhary’s passion for the game of cricket is more than anything else in his life. Cricket provides him happiness and a purpose for life.
As a young kid, he watched Australian legend Adam Gilchrist on TV and decided to take up wicket keeping just like his idol at the age of 7.
Rahul was trained by Tarak Sinha, coach at Sonnet Cricket Club. He gives credit to his coach, parents and close friends for his achievements and believing in him. He managed studies and sports exceptionally well. Completing his high school education with a percentage of 93 and graduation with 72, to go with his superlative achievements in cricket, he was an all-rounder in true sense.
Rahul has played for Sonnet Cricket Club, Delhi under 13, 16, 19 and 23. He describes his best cricketing moment as getting picked for the Delhi under 19 team at the age of 17 and scoring his first fifty (68 runs) against Madhya Pradesh in the All India Vinoo Mankad trophy semi-final.
His best performance he remembers is scoring 86 against Jharkhand in the Cooch Behar trophy (2011-12). He says, “My team was struggling at 190-5 when I walked in to bat at number 7 and helped my team to reach a massive score of 472. This match is very special because it was my first test match fifty and it was the only test match (4 day game) that Delhi won that year at the under 19 level.”
Rahul has played in various tournaments across the country such as Cooch Behar Trophy, Vinoo Mankad Trophy, Dhruv Pandove Trophy, Col. CK Naidu Trophy as well as travelled abroad to Singapore and UK for international tournaments.
Apart from cricket, he plays basketball, football and squash and also excels in swimming. Watching movies, reading autobiographies of famous cricketers and driving his car are few of his hobbies.

A clinical all-round performance by Karan Narang (33 runs, 3 wickets) inspired DCE Dwarka to a 5 run victory over Bhati XI in the first semi-final of DCL T20 Championship and book the finale berth.
Batting first, DCE Dwarka scored 134 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Karan Narang top scored with 33 while Shivam Duggal contributed with 31 runs. Vaibhav Gauhania scored 21 runs for his team. For Bhati XI, Vikram Bhoria picked up 3 while Sunil Teotia captured 2 wickets.
In reply Bhati XI chased well but fell short of just 5 runs and missed on a final spot. Tasveer Alam top scored with 33 runs. Sunil Teotia scored 15 runs. Karan Narang outshone others with the ball too as he picked up 3 wickets to rattle Bhati XI batsmen. Mohit Mathew, Rahul Meena and Harsh Vikram also chipped in with wickets to help their team’s cause.

Ovesh Saifi’s excellent knock of 56 not out enabled Sultan Sports defeat Rajput Gymkhana and enter the last four stage of DCL T20 Championship.
Rajput Gymkhana were reduced to just 110 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Afzal Khan scored 27 and Ramesh Kumar contributed with 19 runs. Vivek Kumar and Ashwini captured 3 wickets a piece and were instrumental in restricting the oppositions to a below par score.
In reply, Sultan Sports chased down the target in 18 overs and 6 wickets to spare thanks to Ovesh Saifi’s half century. Ramandeep scored 17 runs. Deepak Kumar picked up 2 while Abhay Aggarwal captured a solitary wicket.

A fine century from Mohit Dogra (111 runs) and half century by Vatsal Sharma (50) helped Air Liner beat RCA Academy by 155 runs in the 3rd Wings Compute Institute Under 19 Cricket Tournament.
Batting first, Air Liner put up a good total of 220/3 in 35 overs. Mohit Dogra hit a scintillating century while Vatsal Sharma score a fifty. Neeraj Sehrawat captured a couple of wickets for RCA Academy.
In reply, RCA Academy were shot out for mere 65 runs in 20.3 over to lose the match by a huge margin of 155 runs. Mohit Kumar top scored with 28 runs. Harshit Chauhan snapped 3 while Umesh Kumar grabbed 2 wickets.

Riding on Arun Chaprana’s 5 wicket haul, Collage Sports defeated Titiksha Club by 42 runs and confirmed their finale berth in DDCA Hot Weather Cricket Tournament.
Batting first, Collage Sports scored 161 runs in 39 overs. Rahul Dagar top scored with 42.
In reply, Titiksha could not with-stand the deadly bowling combo of Arun and Ankit Chaudhary and were all out for just 119 runs in 32 overs. Arun picked up 5/13 and Ankit picked up 2/21.

Riding on Mohit Mathew’s superb bowling show that included a hat-trick, DCE defeated Brother’s XI by 49 runs in their DCL Championship T20 Cricket Tournament encounter.
Batting first, DCE scored 135/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Sahil Nagia top scored with 30 while Karan Narang contributed with 28 runs. Alok Kumar grabbed 2 while Uttam Das picked up a solitary wicket for Brother’s XI.
In reply, Brother’s XI succumbed to the pressure created by DCE bowlers Mohit Mathew (4 wickets)and Rahul Meena (3 wickets)and were shot out for just 86 runs and lost the match. The highlight of the match was Mohit Mathew’s hat-trick that prevented Brother’s XI from coming back into the match.

Batting first, CWC scored 148 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 30 overs. Nakul Nain top scored with 47 runs. Sumit Narwal captured 3/18 while Sharandeep Singh picked 2/18.
In reply, ONGC easily overhauled the target in just 22 overs mainly due to Mithun Manhas‘ 59 and Prashant Bhandari’s 34. Sakib Alam captured 3/37 for CWC.

Batting first, Air India were reduced to just 160 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 40 overs. IPL star Manvinder Bisla top scored with 52 while Aditya Kaushik contributed with 48. Wasim Ahmed captured 4 while Sagar Malik captured 3 wickets.
In reply, Chand Khanna Club chased down the total in just the 29th over thanks to Hooda’s 85. Ankur Kaushik remained unbeaten on 27 runs.
