Shubham’s excellent knock of 64 runs, Kabir’s 46, Manav (35, 2/31) helped RP Academy defeat Gush Club by just 8 runs and enter the quarter-final of 3rd Sanjeev Ahuja Memorial Under 13 Cricket Tournament, played at Gargi College Ground.
Gush Club’s Keshav Dalal played a superb knock of 76 runs but was unable to finish things for his team.

Delhi Under 19 player Yash Sehrawat hit his 2nd century of the tournament (108*, 76 b, 4×10, 6×3), Chetan Rishi scored 80 and Neel Mani picked up 4/22 to help Mukesh Diwan Academy defeat Learner Cricket Academy by a huge margin of 147 runs and enter the final of 3rd G.S Rai Memorial Open Prize money Cricket Tournament, played at Baprola Ground, Najafgarh.
Yash Sehrawat was adjudged man of the match for his excellent century.

DTU XI were back to their dominating ways on the field as they defeated UP Warriors by 30 runs in an all important league encounter in Monsoon Trophy 2015 and entered the last four stage of the event. Vimal Kamal played his first match for DTU and showed a lot of promise with an excellent knock of 46 runs that helped DTU post the highest total of the tournament so far.
UP Warriors skipper Raghva Ghai won the toss and decided to take the field first. DTU openers Shivam Duggal and Vimal Kamal gave a perfect start to the innings with a century partnership thus giving a solid platform for a good finish. Vaibhav Guhania did exactly that as he made a quick-fire 28 runs to inflate the total to 166 runs.
For UP Warriors, Naveen Kumar, Aditya Rishi and Shivam Sharma captured a couple of wickets each.
In reply, UP Warriors were off to a bad start as they lost their opener for just 3 runs. Skipper Raghav Ghai steadied the ship but was out soon. Opener Akash Sharma smashed 7 fours and 2 sixes en route to his knock of 65 runs. Rubel and Rahul Meena captured a couple of wickets each for DTU XI.
Vaibhav Guhania was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance.

H.C Sharma Cricket Cup
Heramb Sharma’s brilliant unbeaten knock of 98 runs (78 balls, 4×14, 1×6) and Shivam Singh;s five wicket haul (5/22) helped Balaji Cricket Academy beat Sonex Club by 7 wickets to win the title of H.C Sharma Cricket Tournament.
Heramb Sharma was adjudged the best batsman, Shivam Singh the best bowler and Nitin Jaswan was given the best all-rounder award.

Cricket is to me what sun is to earth, water is to fish and air is to lungs ~ Krishna
Diagnosed with a tumor in his left knee leaving him out of the game for nearly a year and a threat of not being able to run again had Krishna down and out but with his true passion, vigour and love for the game he came back strongly and touched newer heights for his college team- SGGS College of Commerce.
Krishna Kandoi (see full player profile) is a right arm medium pace bowler, originally hailing from Nepal. Cricket is in his blood. His grandfather, father and his brothers all played for their respective college teams. He dreams to take this legacy a notch higher with his best efforts.
He has played for Under 15 Nationals (Nepal), Ravindra Club, SGGSCC Team, Ranibagh Cricket Club and few others. He had also been selected for Delhi University Top 30 twice and still has a year to go.
Some of his achievements:
- He was the youngest cricketer to be selected for U-15 nationals(Nepal),
- He became college vice-captain for 2015-16 season
- He is currently the highest wicket-taker for college in the last two years
- He picked up 2 five wicket hauls in the Delhi University Inter-college Cricket event
- He was a nominated for the outstanding performer of the year in his college for 2014-15
Last season he picked up a whopping 35 wickets in 13 matches and helped his team reach at least the last four stage of every event they were part of. This he terms as one of the highest points of his cricketing life.
He also terms his knee injury as the lowest point as a cricketer. He was forced to sit out for almost a year. The doctors had a doubt on him being able to run again, let alone play the game.
According to Krishna, “It has been a tough journey full of ups and downs but I hope I will succeed one day and make my parents proud.”

Continuing with the trend of exciting low scoring matches in the ongoing Monsoon Trophy 2015, Indian Travel Port made heavy weather while chasing a target of 103 runs in 20 overs against ACE XI, but eventually crossed the line in the very last over with just 4 wickets to spare.
ACE XI won the toss and opted to bat first. Abhishek Malik‘s 23 and Shivam’s fighting 19 helped them cross the 100 run mark, as they crawled to 102 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Owaish captured 3 wickets for Indian Travel Port. Gaurav Pawar and Atul Grover shared a wicket each.
In reply, Indian Travel Port didn’t find their way as easy as they would have liked as the chase went down till the last over. Opener Suraj Kumar played a good knock of 45 runs. Kuldeep Tyagi and Nitin Kumar scored 18 runs each. Three bowlers from ACE XI managed a couple of wickets each.
Owaish was adjudged man of the match for his excellent bowling performance.
