Delhi Colts Cricket Club is organizing a Talent Hunt Age Group selection program for cricketers. The selection will work on Pay and Play Method.
Interested players can enroll themselves in the first week of September 2015. In the first phase, the candidates will play 10 friendly matches in Dwarka Sub City and a record will be kept of every performance in those matches.
The program offers a democratic system whereby best 16 players will be picked up after the conclusion of 10 matches. Pay & Play Method involves everyone contributing financially and each individual bringing his Cricket Kit comprising of Cricket Gears and SG-Cricket ball. The method is none profitable and democratic. It’s basically to promote the Art of Cricket in Delhi.

Sultan Sports organized Monsoon Trophy 2015 in the most challenging conditions. As names suggests, the challenge was the weather. A season that is regarded as the off-season for the game of cricket, the event was organized with much success attracting teams from as many as 8 different backgrounds.
The event was organized at as many as 5 different venues over the course of 11 days. A total of 8 teams participated in the tournament with 4 teams in waiting and 120 players showcasing their talent on the field.
Talking about the game statistics, this was not a very high scoring tournament with the highest team total in 160s. Nevertheless more than 3000 runs were scored in the 15 matches. The boundary count was more than 200 and the sixes counted to 110. Total number of wickets to fall were 256.
This was surely the bowlers tournament as teams struggled to chase moderate totals and scores of less than 120 were also defended a few times. Indian Travelport eventually emerged as champions defeating DTU XI in the final.

It was a final of T20 match, where all 20 wickets fell. It was a T20 tournament where 170 could not be crossed even once. It was an event where bowlers ruled. Monsoon Trophy 2015 concluded with Indian Travelport bowlers getting the better of DTU XI bowlers as they emerged victorious by a margin of 48 runs in what could be termed as a comparatively low scoring final.

Among those bowlers, there was one bowler who stood out- Nitin Tomar. He rattled through the batting line up of DTU XI capturing 5 wickets and helping his team win the title.
Batting first, Indian Travelport were all out for a respectable 131 runs in 20 overs. Aashu Negi top scored with 28 while Gaurav Chaudhary scored 24 runs. Rest of the contributions were not noteworthy but they did gave the team something to fight for. Harsh Vikaram and Rahul Meena captured 2 wickets each while Rubel scalped a wicket for DTU XI.
Chasing a modest total to clinch the title, the strong batting line up of DTU were in for a surprise. Only 3 bowlers were required to destroy DTU innings as they folded for just 83 runs in the 16th over. Only Shivam Duggal managed to score 21 runs but the rest of the team couldn’t offer any resistance.
Nitin Tomar captured 5, Gaurav Chaudhary 3 while Atul Grover scalped 2 wickets for Indian Travelport.

A good all-round bowling performance coupled with Aashu Negi’s sensible batting helped Indian Travelport defeat Laxmi Public School by 5 wickets in the second semi-final of Monsoon Trophy Cricket Tournament. With this win, they are just a step away from the title and will lock horns with DTU XI to determine who will emerge the champion.

Batting first, Laxmi Public School were all out for 117 runs with major contributors being Saransh Sethi (32), Raghav Datta (28) and Ritik Verma (26). For Travelport, Gaurav, Aashu and Nitin captured a couple of wickets each.
In reply, Indian Travelport chased down the target in 19 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Aashu Negi top scored with 46 runs with Nitin Tomar contributing 26 runs. For Laxmi Public School, Saurav and Raghav sclaped a couple of wickets each.
Aashu Negi was adjudged man of the match for his match winning effort.

DTU skipper Ankit Kumar finally found some form in the ongoing season as he guided his team to victory against JP Institute in the Monsoon Trophy Cricket Tournament. He and his team mate Vaibhav Guhania ensured an easy chase for their team as it reached the final and is now just a step away from winning the trophy. Vaibhav was adjudged man of the match for his superb all-round show, second time in a row.

Batting first, JP Institute was restricted to just 112 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Skipper Ankit Gulati top scored with 29 and Harshit Batra contributed 26 runs to the team total. For DTU, Harsh Gill scalped 3 whereas Vaibhav Guhania captured 2 wickets.
In reply, Ankit Kumar (39) and Vaibhav Guhania (44) steered the chase as DTU overhauled the required target in the 16th over itself with 6 wickets to spare. Vidit and Mrigansh captured a wicket each for JP Institute.
