The Winz Cricketgraph Academy in Borivali has officially partnered up with Cricketgraph and is now rebranded as the Winz Cricketgraph Academy. This team up is the first one under the Cricketgraph Academy Partnership Program which aids existing cricket academies reach new heights. 

Winz Cricketgraph Academy is located in Borivali with Vikrant Gupta as the Head Coach. Coach Gupta is a highly qualified coach with numerous years of experience as a player and a coach. The MCA Level 0 and ICC Level 1 coach has had an exceptional cricketing career competing in the cutthroat Mumbai circuit. With age as well as experience on his side, he can provide the player with key insights and modern cricketing ways as the game has involved with time. Gupta has also worked with numerous international cricketers such as Joe Root and Jos Buttler. Be rest assured, with Coach Vikrant Gupta’s expertise, the player is bound to excel.

Post the merger, Winz Cricketgraph Academy has grown substantially. With Cricketgraph’s massive outreach on social media, WCGA has is well received as new players are admitted on almost a daily basis. Match highlights, performances and reels are also shared providing visibility for the players and the  academy. With a monthly reach of 1.5 million on Instgram and over 1 million on Youtube, Cricketgraph aims to introduce new faces to the mass; The website getting over 200k hits as well. 

Apart from the formidable media coverage, Cricketgraph intends to provide more matches for their academy to compete in, providing players opportunities. With a hold of few MCA Clubs in the circuit, cricketers from the WCGA have the chance to represent an MCA club in MCA affiliated or organized tournaments.

Victory CC made little work of the Sponsors XI in the ongoing Police Shield as they were bowled out for mere 147 runs in the 49th over. Mayur Sanap scored a fighting 50 but it wasn’t enough to keep his team in the fight. Vijay Gohil bowled a magical spell of 5/52 securing an upper hand in the first innings. Shashank Attarde’s 4 wicket haul supported Gohil’s spell. 

Victory CC’s Jay Bista came out swinging, scoring a 88 in quick time. In the 23rd over itself, Victory CC chased down the target with 7 wickets in hand.

Mumbai Police Gymkhana were beaten by PJ Hindu Gymkhana in the ongoing Police Shield. After being asked to bat first, Mumbai Police managed a total of 298 in 70 overs losing 8 wickets in the process. Ruturaj Sane continued his blistering form this season scoring an unbeaten 112*. He was well supported by Nadeem Shaikh who contributed 62. Rahul Sawant was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 wickets. 

With a competitive total onboard, it was anyone’s game but PJ Hindu claimed it convincingly. Harsh Salunkhe and Viraj Jadhav’s contributed 38 each. After their dismissal, it was Sachin Wagh and Yogesh Dongre’s crucial partnership with sealed the game for PJ Hindu Gymkhana. Yogesh Dongre scored an unbeaten 60 as Sachin Wagh hammered an emphatic 114*. Eventually, PJ Hindu Gymkhana won the game with 6 wickets in hand and over 8 overs left.

A high scoring game between Bombay Gymkhana and CCI saw both teams score a combined total of almost 800 runs in the Police Shield. Bombay Gymkhana elected to bat first and scored a massive total of 382 in 70 overs losing 6 wickets. Hiken Shah was the major contributor as he scored an impressive 151 at the top of the order. Bhupen Lalwani continued his good form scoring 75. Parag Khanapurkar gave a finishing touch by scoring an unbeaten 58. 

With a huge total on board, Bombay Gymkhana had the upper hand by the end of the first innings. India U-23 batter, Chinmay Sutar led the charge scoring a quick fire 108. Aakash Anand (73) and Arya Satpute were one of the major contributors in the CCI innings but it was all rounder Akash Parkar’s unbeaten 87, sealing the game for CCI with just 9 balls left. With bold batsmanship, CCI sealed the game with 3 wickets in hand.

Another dominant batting display by the MIG batsmen has established them as a force to reckon with. After winning the toss, Karnataka SC elected to bowl first, ultimately this move backfired as MIG scored a total of a whopping 458 in 70 overs losing just 5 wickets in the process. Varun Lavande hammered 132 as southpaw Sheesh Shetty scored 116. After two initial centuries, Vishant More (82) and Om Keshkamat (63) provided MIG with a powerful finishing touch, helping them reach the massive total.

In response, Karnataka SC put up little to no challenge against MIG. Karan Vashodia scored 75 but it wasn’t enough. Shivaji Yadav from MIG picked up 4/36 to seal the game in the 51st over as Karnataka SC were bowled out for 227.

An incredible bowling performance by the Sind bowlers saw them bowl out New Hind for 162 in the 43rd over. New Hind’s Sumit Ghadigaonkar was the lone warrior scoring 71 but due to lack of support from the other end, the batting collapsed. Hemant Buchade bowled a fine spell of 4/50. He was well supported by Puneet Tripathi and Aditya Dhumal who picked up 3 wickets each in the process. Sind SC comfortably chase down the target of 163 with 17 overs in hand losing 5 wickets.

A dominating batting display by the Payyade SC saw them win the game by a huge margin of 180. Batting first, Payyade SC set a mammoth target of 395 in 70 overs for MCA Colts to chase. Omkar Ghule (76), Atif Attarwala 76* and Prayag Bhati 76 all cashed in with half centuries in quick time. Ninad Kadam missed out on his half century by just 4 runs while all-rounder Dev Patel hammered 43 as Wicketkeeper Prasad Pawar scored 37. Ashay Dube claimed 3 wickets, so did Siddhant Singh but both were hammered for three digit figures.

MCA Colts had a mediocre outing as they were bowled out for just 395. Aryan Patni high scored with 55 while Siddhant Singh contributed 30. Unfortunately their contributions were in vain. Dev Patel, Badre Alam and Chdrumil Matkar, all claimed 3 wickets each to dismiss the Colts batsmen in the 50th over.

Shivaji Park Gymkhana were defeated by DY Patil in the Police Shield,. After electing to bat, SPG managed a total of only 137 in 50 overs. The batsmen struggled against the left-arm duo of Karsh Kothari and Iqbal Abdullah. Skipper Iqbal picked up 4 wickets while Karsh Kothari picked up 6 wickets, a crucial spell to give them the upper hand in the initial stages of the game. DY Patil made short work of the chase as the target was achieved under 30 overs. Anand Bais’ unbeaten 47 took them over the line, winning by 6 wickets.

In the second league game of the Invitational Police Shield, Parsee Gymkhana convincingly won against Islam Gymkhana by 9 wickets. After winning the toss, Islam Gymkhana elected to bat but unfortunately the Parsee bowlers were too good for them as they were bowled out for just 179 in the 53rd over. Salman Ahmed’s 46 and Dandekar’s 37 were vital but minor. Akarshit Gomel bowled a magical spell of 5/40 stunning everyone with his bowling skills as he is well known for his batting prowess.

Islam Gymkhana couldn’t put up any challenge as Parsee Gymkhana chased down the target in 35 overs. Sachin Yadav hammered an unbeaten 41 but it was Kevin Almeida’s destructive innings of 106* which sealed the game for Parsee by 9 wickets.

GPCC dominated the contest against Titans CA in the U-14 Mumbai Real Cricket Foundation Cup. After winning the toss, GPCC were restricted to 216 in 40 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Raj Waingankar’s innings of 71 was the highlight as he single handedly took the team to a fighting total. His crucial contributions weren’t in vain as Titans CA were bowled out quickly for just 98 in the 28th over. Swapnil’s top spell of 4/18 in just 7.5 overs secured the victory for GPCC over their rivals. Despite a match winning spell, Raj was awarded the Man of the Match for his 74 ball innings.
