DDCA & controversies are going hand in hand in this year. The elections, selections and corruptions were not enough so we have been presented with a fresh round of controversy related to the Sports Working Committee that is formed not even a week before.
As per the latest reports, the “elected” Sports Working Committee will go on a “relay hunger strike” from tomorrow, 23rd September which will be headed by Sh. Padam Singh Chauhan, who is a member of the committee.
The protest is against the illegal action of all Executive Committee in DDCA and interference in the work of newly elected committee. Recent state team selections for Ranji Trophy and Under 19 Camp have been major issues as multiple lists of selected players were released in the media.

The third day of Fusion T20 Cup was a rain affected one as one of the matches was decided by D\L method. In this match SuperStar defeated SpiceJet by 7 runs. In the second match, Stallions defeated Pioneer easily by 19 runs.
A brief report of both matches:
Match 1: SuperStar vs SpiceJet

SpiceJet batted first and riding on opener Vivek’s superb knock of 67 runs (49 b, 4×8, 2×6), reached a moderate total of 131 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. The rest of the batting just fell apart with the second highest score being 19, scored by the other opener Rajneesh.
SuperStar bowlers were right on the money once they broke the opening partnership of Vivek and Rajneesh and not a single other batsman could cross double figures. They tightened the screws on the SpiceJet batsmen with Bhavya and Neeraj P sharing 3 wickets each.
In reply, SuperStar also struggled in their innings with opener Neeraj S top scoring yet again with a 32 ball 34. But the middle order fell like nine pins as they lost wickets in a heap. Prince and Akhil stitched together an unbeaten partnership and prevented further wickets to fall as the D\L equation came into play. When rain stopped play, SuperStar were 7 runs ahead of the required score. Kapil and Rajneesh picked up 2 wickets each for SpiceJet.
Brief Scores:
SpiceJet: 131/8 in 20 overs (Vivek 67, Neeraj 3/14, Bhavya 3/22)
SuperStar: 114/6 in 17 overs (Neeraj S 34, Prince 25*, Rajneesh 2/17)
Match 2: Pioneer vs Stallions

Batting first, Stallions were all out for 141 runs in the 20th over. There were good contributions from Sameer (34), Yitesh (35) and Siddhant (25). Adnan was the top bowler for Pioneer picking up 3 wickets. He was well supported by Vicky and Kashif who captured a couple of wickets each to restrict the opposition.
In reply, Pioneer went off to an excellent start with openers Aamir and Faizan scoring 50 runs in 9 overs. But as their partnership was broken by Yitesh, there was no looking back. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and Pioneer feel short of batsmen as well as overs to score the required runs and lost the match by 19 runs.
Yitesh captured 5 while Kumal and Sameer shared 2 wickets each.
Brief Scores:
Stallions: 141/10 (Yitesh 35, Sameer 34, Adnan 3/22)
