Day 1 of Shailini Bhalekar was a complete washout at both the venues however day 2 witnessed a full day session of absorbing cricket.

Naren Tamhane XI loosing the toss to Chandrashekar Sant XI were put into bat first,where they lost couple of wickets early on slightly wet picth due to heavy rain on 1st day of the match. It was karan vasodia who stood up for his team and scored fabulous maiden ton of the tournament.Scoring 2×6’s and 10×4’s in his innings of 117 of 171 balls and getting good support from Prasad Pawar playing on 57*.At the end off the day Naren Tamhane XI were 284 for 6,where Left arm spinner Yash Chavan got 4 wickets for 48 runs for his

team Chandrashekar Sant XI. It would be interesting to see if Prasad Pawar scores his century on third day or Naren Tamhane XI declares their innings to give their bowlers an opportunity to bowl.

RCN Open Tournament

As per latest reports, the hunger strike planned by the elected Sports Working Committee (SWC) of DDCA has been postponed.

The protest that was scheduled to begin today, is reported to be postponed as there are some chances of reaching an agreement by the senior officials of the Cricket body.

DDCA & controversies are going hand in hand in this year. The elections, selections and corruptions were not enough so we have been presented with a fresh round of controversy related to the Sports Working Committee that is formed not even a week before.

As per the latest reports, the “elected” Sports Working Committee will go on a “relay hunger strike” from tomorrow, 23rd September which will be headed by Sh. Padam Singh Chauhan, who is a member of the committee.

The protest is against the illegal action of all Executive Committee in DDCA and interference in the work of newly elected committee. Recent state team selections for Ranji Trophy and Under 19 Camp have been major issues as multiple lists of selected players were released in the media.

First day of MCA affiliated Shalini bhalekar trophy(u-23) has been washed out due to heavy rain at both the venues,i.e. SP cricket Academy,BKC and Wankhede stadium.

Good bowling by Raj Singh 5/31 and fine knock by Chirag Sharma 78 no and Naman Grover 63 not out helped Airliner Academy beat Star Academy by 9 wickets and enter semifinals of the 9^th Hari Chand Smriti Under-17 cricket tournament.
