DU Inter College 2015-16
College of Vocational Studies (CVS) gave a clinical performance in their first knockout match against Keshav Mahavidyalaya (KMV) to send their opponents out of the tournament as they defeated them by 8 wickets. More than the margin of victory, it was the manner in which they crushed their opponents by getting them all out for 69 runs.

In an innings which was supposed to be played for 40 overs, ended only at the half way mark in the 20th over for just 69 runs. Only Aman managed to score 26 runs. Rest of the batting just fell apart. For CVS, Aryan Mishra captured 4 while Ujjwal Verma captured 3 wickets.
A target of 70 runs in 40 overs was not even a challenge and CVS crossed the finish line in just 11 overs thanks to an unbeaten 46 runs by opener Kartik. They finished the match in just 45 minutes of batting and 8 wickets to spare.
Brief Scores:
KMV: 69 all out in 19.5 overs (Aman 26, Aryan 4/12, Ujjwal 3/03)

Deshbandhu College showed a perfect example of team play in their inaugural match against Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) as each player contributed either with bat or ball in their thumping 140 runs victory over SBSC in the DU Inter College knockouts.
Played at PGDAV College, Deshbandhu College batted first and put up an excellent total of 262 runs and were all out in the last over of their innings. There was a not a single big individual score but hand contributions from Kapil Chauhan (52), Ashwani SIngh (37), skipper Nitin Bhardwaj (32) and most importantly some late order fire works by No. 10 batsman Akash Chaudhary (42 runs, 23 balls) helped Deshbandhu College put up a fighting total.

SBSC bowled well and picked up wickets at regular intervals but were done in by the lower order of their opponents. Rahul Kumar and Anubhav Srivastava captured 3 wickets each and Dev and Siddharth captured a couple each.
In reply, SBSC batsmen were not able to offer any real resistance, let alone going anywhere near the target as they folded for mere 122 runs in 32.1 overs. Skipper Harsh Kamal top scored with 34 but wickets keep falling at regular intervals leaving SBSC with no real chance to overhaul a stiff target.
For Deshbanshu College, Manik Sirohi captured 3 wickets. He was well supported by Mridul Sharma and Ajay Mangeria who picked up 2 wickets each and helped their team register and easy victory.
Brief Scores:
Deshbandhu College: 262 all out (Kapil Chauhan 52, Akash Chaudhary 42, Rahul Kumar 3/36, Anubhav 3/39)
SBSC: 122 all out (Harsh Kamal 34, Manik Sirohi 3/27, Mridul Sharma 2/08)

A superb bowling performance led by Tanishq Dubey (4 wickets) and a quick fire 57 run knock from Jishan Adil ensured that SSCBS won their first DU Inter College knockout against PGDAV (E) rather easily by 6 wickets.

Played at SGGSCC Ground, PGDAV College won the toss and elected to bat first. The decision backfired big time as they were bundled out for mere 113 runs in 34 overs. Only Samar (45 runs) could offer some resistance to the bowlers in what was otherwise a sad batting card. All SSCBS bowlers were right on the money as everyone contributed to the team’s cause. Tanishq Dubey was the highest wicket taker followed by Udhav and Mayank with 2 wickets each.
Chasing an easy target, SSCBS lost opener Himanshu for just 1. In walked Udhav Khanna who went berserk on the bowlers scoring 27 runs from just 13 balls. But there were two quick wickets again and the scoreboard read 39/3. Jishan Adil was then joined by Ujjwal Mahajan and both batted brilliantly and took the score past 100 run mark. Jishan was out just before the finish line for a well made 57 but Ujjwal (21*) helped his team cross the line.
Brief Scores:
PGDAV (E): 113 all out in 34 overs (Samar 45, Tanishq 4/22, Mayank 2/18)
SSCBS: 116/4 in 19.3 overs (Jishan Adil 57, Udhav Khanna 27, Ritesh Pandey 2/19)
