DU Inter College 2015-16

Swami Shradhanand College continued their purple patch on the cricket field as they registered their third straight victory in the DU Inter College tournament group quarter finals, defeating SGGSCC by 6 wickets and entered the last four stage in style.

Lalit Yadav was the top performer scalping 4 wickets and breaking the back bone of SGGSCC batting that helped his team get them out for a below par score. For SGGSCC, Parth Madaan scored a superb knock of 86 runs but did not get any support from other batsmen and his innings were overshadowed by a combined batting effort by the opponents who chased down the target with 6 wickets to spare.

DU Inter College 2015-16

It seems as if Swami Shradhanand College has struck gold.. First they represented India in the Red Bull Campus Cricket Championship and immediately after that, began their DU Inter College title defense in style by winning their first two matches, defeating Hindu & Venkateswara College respectively.

Here are the brief reports of both matches:

1. SSNC vs Hindu

Fine knock by Shubham Dahiya 80 and Deepak Khattri 70 no,and Lalit Yadav 69 and 2/23 helped defending champion Swami Shradhanand College beat Hindu College by 74 runs in the group Q-F round of the Inter College cricket tournament at Khalsa College ground.

Brief Scores:

Swami Shradhanand College:268 for 6 in 45 Overs: Shubham Dahiya 80,Deepak Khatri 70 no, Lalit Yadav 69, Navendu Sharma 3/45.

Hindu College:194 for 8 in 45 Overs:Prashant Bhati 49,Abhishek Goswami 47,Rohan Rathi 2/11,Lalit Yadav 2/23, Harshit Kaushik 2/33.

2. SSNC vs Sri Venkateswara College

Fine knock by Lakshay Thareja 40 and good bowling by Harshit Kaushik 3/23 helped Swami Shradhanand College beat Venkateswara College by 69 runs.

Swami Shradhanand College: 186 all out in 39.3 Overs: Lakshay Thareja 40,Jatin Gehlot 30,Lalti Yadav 23,Vikas Yadav 4/42,Rahul Chaudhary 3/27.

DU Inter College 2015-16| Full Scorecard

Riding on Ashish Tokas‘ super innings of 79 (82 balls, 13×4, 1×6), Kshitij 40 and Allan’s 3/40, DCAC defeated Ram Lal Anand College by 6 wickets in the group quarter final encounter of DU Inter College Cricket Tournament, played at NSIT, Dwarka Ground.

Batting first, RLA scored 228/7 in their 50 overs. Hitesh Mehra played a super knock of unbeaten 91 runs (100 balls, 6×4) and Mayank Srivastava contributed with a well made 50. For DCAC Allan picked up 3 wickets in his quota of 10 overs.

In reply, DCAC were off to a great start as in-form Ashish Tokas (79) and Kshitij (40) made a century partnership and laid a solid foundation for the chase. Allan provided the finishing touches with an unbeaten 35 runs knock and took his team over the line.

HVM T20 Cup

In the final of HVM Sports T20 Cup, Blazewell put up a clinical performance and defeated PECL in the finale to lift the title. Apart from a brilliant performance by skipper Anubhav, they were also aided by poor fielding from PECL team.

The tournament was a huge success overall. We are bringing you the post match interviews of Anubhav, skipper, Blazewell who was also adjudged the man of the match and Vikram, skipper, PECL.

Fine century by Rushal Saini 164 and magic bowling by Nityam Kumar 6/16 helped Vidya Jain Academy beat RKB by 172 runs in the Golden Cup cricket tournament.

As per latest reports flowing in, the DDCA Under 16 Selection Trials which were due to be held tomorrow i.e 28th October at Ferozshah Kotla Ground have been postponed until further notice.

Earlier CricketGraph had reported in an article that the trials were going to be conducted tomorrow but DDCA Official Sh. Vijay Bahadur Mishra and media coordinator Sh. Bobby Dhoundiyal have confirmed that the trials have been postponed.

The tentative date for the trials is 2nd November 2015.

Please note that this is not an open trial. Only 6 players nominated by the clubs will be allowed to appear for the trials.

Talented All rounder Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a big hundred in his very first match for Mumbai U-16 team. The captain of Mumbai, Yashasvi scored 186 not out in second innings today at Vishakhapattanam international stadium.

Batting first he scored 41 runs and also took 3 wickets with his leg spins and gave an all important 2 runs lead for Mumbai in the first innings. In the first innings, Divvansh Saxena of Mumbai top scored with 51 runs. Mukund Sardar complemented his captains 3 wicket spell with his own 3 wicket spell.

In the second inning Yashasvi was just brilliant with the bat scoring an unbeaten 150 + score and Mumbai scored a mammoth 340 for 5.

Brief Score : First Innings : Mumbai 199 all out  ( Divyansh Saxena 51, Yashasvi Jaiswal 41 ), Andhra Pradesh first innings : 197 all out (Yashasvi 3 /33, Mukund Sardar 3/44).

Tournament : DSC Challenge Cup 2

Match: UBMC vs ICC

In another high scoring game of the DSC challenge cup between UBMC and ICC, UBMC scored a daunting 178 in 20 overs batting first. Vishal Sheth scored brilliant 44 at a strike rate of 200.

Chasing a stiff target, Suraj Sharma hit 9 boundaries and 8 sixes scoring 99 runs, missing his century just by a run. Excellent knock by Suraj helped ICC win the game with 7 balls to spare. No surprises as to who was adjudged Man of the Match.

Match: Dindoshi Sports Club vs CPCC

Dindoshi Sports Club won the toss and invited CPCC to bat. Having put into bat and scoring 150 + score, CPCC would have thought they have a good total on board. Sushil pilley starred for CPCC scoring 47 in 36 balls 4 x 8 and 1Six. Jasbir Singh took 4 wickets in 3 overs while wicket keeper Sanjay Jadhav contributed to 6 dismissals (3 catches and 3 stumpings)

Chasing a tricky target, DSC lost 2 wickets for 30 runs but MoM Aniket Naiksatam played a breezy knock right from the word go scoring 90 runs in just 45 balls. He was well supported by Vinayak Maske who scored 34 runs in an unbeaten 3rd wicket partnership of 130 runs.
