Few might find it difficult to digest but two teams in a tournament have shown remarkable consistency not only this year but for the past 3 years. No matter what the result comes out to be, one thing is for sure- the final match is going to be won by the team who knows how to keep their nerves in the dying moments. The stakes are high and pride of college is on the line. It will be a test of strength and character along will skill.
The tournament we are talking about is Delhi University Inter College Cricket Tournament 2015-16 and the teams in question are Swami Shradhanand College and Aryabhatta College. Both teams are the finalists of previous two editions as well with the former defeating the latter both the times to clinch the title.
For Swami Shradhanand College, this will be a chance to claim a hat-trick of Inter College titles and they are in pretty good form to do it. On the other hand, for Aryabhatta College it will be the best chance to avenge their losses for the past two years. Both teams look equally strong on paper.
Top Players
For Swami Shradhanand College, Deepak Khatri is the top run getter with 308 runs in 4 matches and Lalit Yadav tops the bowling chart with 8 wickets. Aryabhatta College has Yogesh Kumar in their ranks with 17 wickets to his name. Akash Antil (203) and Dinesh Mor (196) are the top run scorers for their side.
A unique record on the line:

Abhishek Radhe Vats, the lanky medium fast bowler from Swami Shradhanand College, who was recently awarded the best bowler in Red Bull Campus Cricket Tournament, has a lot of stake in the upcoming final. He has take five wicket hauls in both the finals in the previous two years and played a major role in his team winning the title. Considering, this is his last shot in the tournament, this is a golden chance for him to create history and a record that will almost be difficult, if not impossible to match, let alone break.
Journey so far:
Swami Shradhanand College: Defeated Hindu, Sri Venkateswara College & SGGSCC in Group quarter-finals; Won the semi-final against DCAC
Aryabhatta College: Defeated DCAC, RLA & SGTB Khalsa College in Group quarter-finals, Won the semi-final against Hindu College
The Grand Finale:
The final match between the two teams will be played on 2nd November, Monday at NSIT Ground, Dwarka.
