What a great thought giving a tribute to Dronacharya Ramakant Achrekar Sir in the form of his beloved game Cricket and that too with Under-14 Tournament!!!! This tribute was started 15 years back by Shri. Chandrakant Pandit Sir organizing Under-14 Cricket Tournament identified as D.R.A.C.T. 2015-2016 (Dronacharya Ramakant Achrekar Cricket Tournament) which is now also renowned as Mumbai Under-14 Selection Tournament in alliance with Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). The tournament was started to motivate the Under-14 players.

This year the 15th Edition of D.R.A.C.T. has begun on 3rd November and like past previous years; a tournament is organized by CPCC (Chandrakant Pandit Cricket Clinic) with the help of sponsor CBCSL (Cawasji Behramji Catering Services Ltd).
The tournament is being played in 2 days test knock out Format with 5 ounce specific cricket balls and total 12 teams have participated to win the battle with all safety precautions for players. Matches are being played at Sainath SC ground – Virar, Sachin Tendulkar ground – Kandivili (West), Prabhodhan SC – Goregaon (West) and Payyade SC – Goregaon (West)
Teams participated are Prabodhan SC, Amar Cricket Club, D. Y. Patil Sports Academy, Apollo CC, Payyade SC, Aiming Masters CC, Sainath Sports Club, CPCC, Sporting CC-Thane, Kurla Sports Club, Goregaon SC, Palghar Dhanu S.A.
Semifinals will be played on 9th-10th November’15 at Sainath SC and Final will be played on 16th – 17th November’15 at Goregaon SC.

Batting first, Vidya Jain Academy scored 210 runs in 40 overs thanks to Vishal’s 43 runs and Hemant’s 42 runs. In reply, Bal Bhawan Dwarka were all out for just 165 runs thereby falling 36 runs short of the target.
Ajay Negi was the highest wicket takes of the tournament with 17 wickets to his name.
