Tournament : DSC Challenge Cup

Matches : Dindoshi sports club vs ICC        and        CPCC vs UBMC

Results: ICC won by 5 wickets and UBMC won by 9 wickets

In what turned out to be batsmen’s day out in both the matches of DSC challenge cup, Amol and Amogh scored excellent half centuries in their teams wins. One knock was brutal while the other was tailor made for the situation.

In the first match between Dindoshi Sports Club and ICC, Dindoshi scored 158 for 7 in their 20 overs. Alpesh Joshi top scored with 39. ICC achieved the target in just 17.2 overs. The lanky batsman Amol packs a punch. He scored 67 runs in just 30 balls (hitting 5 sixes) making it an easy chase. ICC thus won by 5 wickets. Amol was named MoM

In the other match between CPCC and UBMC, CPCC scored respectable 151 for 8 wickets in 20 overs. In response, UBMC achieved the target in 17 overs thanks to 2 half centuries one by MoM Amogh and other by Dheeraj. Amogh played sensibly in the beginning and then changed gears enabling UBMC win by 9 wickets.

Tournament : Cosmopolitan Cricket Shield Tournament 2015-16   Venue : Prabhu Jolly CC

Match : Indian Dynamite CC vs. Paramount Cricket Club

Indian Dynamite having won the toss chose to field first wanting to take advantage of the morning dew in Mumbai. They didn’t know what the opponent captain Digambar Pardale had in store for them.

Captain Digambar Pardale who opens the innings for Paramount cricket club both in batting as well as in bowling played a captain’s knock. He scored a fantastic century, 102 runs in just 91 balls. He was very well supported by 3 other players, namely Anand Sharma (53 off 53), Lalitkumar Sharma (72 off 60) and an excellent finish by Sajid Shaikh scoring 74 in just 40 balls putting a perfect icing on the cake.

Captain Digambar was not done yet. He took 4 wickets of Indian Dynamite, bowling 9 overs on the trot giving away just 22 runs. He was brilliantly supported by Mukesh Patel who took 3 wickets for 11 runs in his spell of 6 overs giving away just 11 runs. Indian Dynamite’s innings folded out for a mere 52 runs in 22 overs. None of the Dynamite batsmen could reach double figure such was the spell of Pardale and Patel.

In the ODI final of the Under-19 between Bangladesh and India, Bangladesh batted first. Bangla scored 116 runs in 36 overs against tight bowling by India under-19 boys.

3 quick wickets for 42 runs. In came the Mumbai boy, Sarfaraz Khan and completely changed the complexion of the game in India U-19’s favor. He deposited ball all over the ground, scoring 59 runs in 27 balls hitting 9 boundaries and 3 massive sixes.

Sarfarz was declared Man of the Match for his efforts enabling an easy win in the end for India U-19 boys with 7 wickets and 36 overs to spare.

Match between : HDFC Ergo vs Morgan Stanley

Result: HDFC Ergo wins by 2 wickets

A nail biting finish by Hdfcergo
Pre-quarter finals was played between Hdfcergo and Morgan Stanley.
Morgan won the toss and elected to bat first. They played a sensible innings scoring 119 runs in 20 overs.
The match was evenly poised on a slow deck.
However Lawrence of Hdfcergo had different plans he scored blazing 46 runs in 26 balls however Morgan were picking up wickets at regular intervals. When the captain of Hdfcergo, Dhanesh, arrived at the crease and gave a fighting victory to Hdfcergo by scoring crucial 38 runs and was named as man of the match.

Tournament : Milan T20 Mega Corporate League       Venue : National, Cross Maidan

Match: Abbot Vs. Dimension Data

Result: Dimension data wins by 7 wickets with 5 balls remaining

Abbot chose to bat in the afternoon match on National pitch against Dimension data. Abbot’s innings never really got going and they kept loosing wickets regularly. They ended up scoring 144 for the loss of 7 wickets. Ajeet Sonawane top scored with 27 runs. All bowlers for Abbot except Kamlesh took 1 wicket each.

Dimension data easily chased down the target with 7 wickets and 5 balls to spare. DD lost 3 quick wickets but once Saurabh Patil and Sunil Sangle got together they ensured there wasn’t any further damage and took their team home. Saurabh scored an attractive 56 runs while Sunil batted beautifully for his 46.

Tournament : Dreamz trophy 40 overs

Match : Ajanta Pharma vs. O.C.C.

Result : Ajanta Pharma won by 6 wickets

O.C.C. having won the toss against Ajanta Pharma chose to bat. None of the top order batsmen could face top class bowling from all Ajanta bowlers. Among all Ajanta bowlers, Prashant stood out picking up 4 wickets for 28 runs with one maiden in his 8 overs.

O.C.C. kept loosing wickets at regular intervals but surprisingly managed to play their whole quota of 40 overs. Their number 10 batsman, Virul Sumaya top- scored with 31 runs.

Openers Sushant Kadam and Ganesh Kadam of Ajanta gave a decent start to their chase scoring 23 each. But it was their number four batsman Hanumant Matkar who scored a brisk 47 off 42 balls dampening any hopes O.C.C may have had.

Ajanta achieved their target in just 22.3 overs with 6 wickets in hand. It was their bowlers who started march to victory and Prashant was declared MoM.

Tournament: Architect’s T20 Championship Trophy 2015

Match : SSA Strikers Vs. Talaty Pantaky

Result: SSA won by 76 runs

Opener Hitesh Gujar of SSA Striker put up a fine batsmanship display mixing aggression with caution. Hitesh kept loosing partners until he was joined in the middle by Koli. The two put together a nice partnership to bat the opposition out of the game.

Hitesh scored 93 not out carrying his bat through (hitting 6 boundaries and 5 sixes) while Koli scored valuable 48 runs. SSA set a target of 184 for Talaty. But Talaty Pantaky could muster only 107 runs for 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Hitesh shone with the ball too picking up one wicket in his 2 overs.
