Middle order batsmen Arjun Gawade and Mayuresh Shenoy stitched a beautiful partnership to help his team Subsea pro get out of precarious situation of 39 for 4. In the end Subsea managed a score of 138 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
Arjun not only stopped the slide but scored quickly too. He scored 42 in 28 balls while Mayuresh scored slightly patient knock of 33 runs off 23 balls staying unbeaten.
Sodexho chased pretty well but their top scorer Karan Bhujbal had to walk out as he was injured. And that hurt their chase. Subsea pro bowlers bowled tight line and lengths to restrict opponents 12 short of the target.

Ravi Shinde of Axis bank played a memorable game against DTDC express limited in the ongoing Kurukshetra tournament. His knock of 86 runs off 47 balls not only derailed the DTDC express but also earned a bonus point for axis bank.
Batting first DTDC scored a decent 167 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. The main contributors to the score were Axis bank bowlers who showered a gift of 49 extras on the Christmas day. Second best score for DTDC was that by Gangadhar Ingole scoring 45 off 48 balls. Amar Padhye took 2 wickets for Axis Bank.
Amar Padhye and Ravi Shinde anchored the chase. Ravi was the aggressor hitting 9 boundaries and 6 sixes in his 86 runs and remaining unbeaten. Amar scored 40 runs. Virendra Yadav took 2 wickets. The target was achieved in just 17.2 overs, giving a bonus point to Axis bank.

Lohana holidays beats Vardaan Warriors by 2 wickets in a Low Scoring ..Nail biter at N L COMPLEX ground Dahisar. Winning the toss and bowling first proved to be a master stroke as none of the players of Vardaan Warriors could get going inspite of playing 38.3 overs and were bowled out for a score of 154 runs . Ravi Gwalani was the top scorer for Vardaan Warriors with a patient 48 runs of 85 balls along with ’43 EXTRAS’ being the second highest score . Ravi played the perfect innings required on this type of wicket , against some accurate bowling of Mitul sheth and Nikhil Dodhi who took 4 and 3 wickets respectively.
Chasing 157 runs to win Lohana holidays where 57 for 6 in 17.3 overs due to some good spin bowling by Atul Joshi who took 3 wkts for 15 runs and were staring at a defeat , but a crucial brisk partnership between Man of the match ,Deep Thakkar and Sachin parekh of 56 runs in 38 balls took the score to 113 runs in 23.5 overs & took the momentum away from Vardaan warriors. Few hiccups towards the end of the innings as Lohana Holidays lost 4 wickets within a span of 40 runs .However the tail managed to wag and sealed victory by 2 wickets and reached the target of 157 runs in 32.4 overs …to register the first win in their opening match.
Harshad Khedekar scripted a 47 run victory for E-Clerx against Mahindra Finance. Batting first E-Clerx scored on par score of 149 runs, mainly due to Harshad who scored 81 runs off 64 balls. E-Clerx lost only 2 wickets to the lone wicket taker, Rohan.
Mahindra’s innings never got going. Except for Sumeet Shinde who made 58 not out no other batsman showed spine against disciplined E-Clerx bowling. Mahindra could manage just 102 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.
Harshad was declared the MoM.
Playing a player short hurt Osian cricket club big time in their match against the L&T. OCC had couple of overs remaining and had only 10 runs to get but they didn’t have 11th batter to at least give them a hope.
Batting first, having won the toss, L&T put together some good short partnerships to reach a respectable score of 184 all out in 39 overs against OCC. Ajit Nair top scored with 48 while Shiva contributed with patient knock of 39 runs. OCC s Parth took 4 wickets while Vishal and Viral took 2 wickets each.
OCC lost their opener Ankit Zaveri early but had a good 2nd wicket stand between Megh and Rahul. Megh scored 38 while Rahul scored 57. But once Shiva got rid of both these batsmen OCC s batting line up collapsed like a 10 pin. Only Viral Somaiya offered some resistance with well compiled 29 runs. OCC fell short by 10 runs of the target.
Shiva was declared Man of the Match for his efforts with both bat and ball.
Total Securities could not secure their low score against Zuventus. Total securities set up a modest target of 120 runs batting first. It was an easy target in a T20 match but the pressure of the semifinal got to the Zuventus team but finally they hold their nerves to get over the line on the last ball of the chase.
Yogesh played a brilliant knock of 45 runs and was declared Man of the Match. But it was their number 11 batsman Manish Jathar who pulled out a miracle by hitting a six and a four in the last over to pull off victory from the jaws of defeat.
The post Christmas celebrations continued for pitchers team in the Friends premier league as they defeated transformers easily by 7 wickets and 5 overs to spare.
Rajesh Menon was the chief tormentor as he blazed to 97 off just 48 balls missing his century just by a whisker. Pitchers achieved their target of 156 in just the 16th over. Mr. Menon was awarded MoM award for continuing the celebrations!!!
In another closely contested match of the Milan T20 gymkhana special tournament, Rika beat Akumentis by shortest of margins, 1 run.
Batting first Rika scored 143 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Man of the Match Amit Rathore scored a brisk 13 ball 34 runs to impart a much needed momentum to Rika’s innings. Shubham scored 28. Tushar, Raju and Narayan each took 2 wickets.
Top order of Akumentis had a decent start and chased well but the middle and lower order failed to finish the job in the end. They ended up just a run short finishing at 142 for 9 loosing too many wickets toward the end. Akumentis innings had an unbelievable 6 run outs. Amit Rathore contributing with 2 run outs and a wicket, well deserving the Man of the match award.
A collective team effort by ICICI Securities saw them through in their encounter against Airtel. Airtel’s star opening batsman played a knock suited to his reputation.
Having invited to bat first, Airtel batsman Jitesh took a toll on ICICI’s bowlers. He carried his bat through scoring a magnificent 115 off just 69 balls, hitting 15 fours and 2 sixes. Airtel could have easily scored 200 had Jitesh got good support from the other end. Irrespective 177 was a decent score to chase for ICICI securities.
This match showed that cricket is a team game. ICICI Securities batsmen kept their nerves and used all of the 20 overs to achieve their target of 178 runs. Amod Bagwe scored a 41 ball 62 to see his team through. He was very well supported by Javed and Anil.
Jitesh’s valiant knock was in vain. Amod Bagwe was declared Man of the match in the winning cause.

Team Omtex won the toss and put Terabyte Infosys in to bat .A Explosive opening batting partnership of 82 runs in 8.3 overs by openers Kapil Thakkar & Rahul Khicha got them off to flyer but unfortunately they could not build up on the good start and lost next 5 wkts in 34 runs by the 12.5th over of the innings because of some good spin bowling in tandem by Sagar Pania & Jayesh Shah & a disciplined fielding effort by Team Omtex.
Vimal & Kunal Patel of Terabyte Infosys steadied the innings towards the end but no one really got going and the team could not last 40 overs and were all out for 221 in 33 overs .
Chasing 222 to win Team Omtex got of to brisk start with 24 runs in 3.3 overs but lost two crucial wickets in quick succession in a span of 20 runs and were 44 for 2 in 6.5 overs Opening the innings Atit Shah played the perfect role by scoring 50 runs of 65 balls entrusted on him by the captain. Holding one end of the wicket, made crucial partnerships with Kalpesh Bhuta & Jayesh Shah, of 27 & 34 runs respectively which helped them get closer to the target .However due to some disciplined bowling by Terabyte infosys Team Omtex were 134 runs for 7 wickets at the end of 25.4 overs needing another 88 runs to win in 14.2 overs. Manav Pasad played a Cameo innings of 56 runs of 23 balls and in partnership of 88 runs with Sagar Pania who made a brisk 31 runs of 20 balls , reached the target of 222 in 32.1 overs .with 7.5 overs left …to lead Team Omtex to a fantastic victory. ..
