As is a norm these days, teams often bat first in a knock out tournament. LnT chose to bat first with intention of putting up a decent total on board. But they lost first 4 wickets quickly and the match threatened to be over quickly but Ajit Nayar (46) and Nishit (25) stitched a good partnership to stop the slide and earn runs. But it was strikes by lower order batsman Ameya Joshi that made a huge difference. Ameya scored a quickfire half century helping LnT put up 164 in 38 overs. Reliance money bowlers did a good job. While Munna picked up 4 wickets, Sunil struck with 3 blows.
Reliance Money’s openers Sunil Somrajan and in-form bat Amrut Shetye were right on the money. Both played a great knock without any pressure of the quarterfinal. While Sunil scored a sublime 64 not out, Amrut scored brisk 74 not out. The target was achieved in 28th overs, Reliance winning by massive 10 wickets and 12 overs to spare. LnT played well but it was Sunil’s day.

Sodexo opener Vishal Dandekar was on song in their match against Omni Marines in the Kurukshetra cup. This cup is organized by beyond-infiniti, a firm founded by Rai brothers- Piyush and Devashish.
Vishal scored a breezy 92 runs in just 54 balls and was unfortunate to get out just 6 short of a well deserving century. Vishal demonstrated how to farm strike and score briskly. When he got out it was just the 14th over and who knows if he would have stayed for all 20 overs how much he would have scored. Sodexo put up 162 in their quota of overs.
Chasing a decent target, Omni marine kept loosing wickets at regular intervals and could manage only 124 runs, thus loosing by 38 runs. Classy left handed opener, Akash Patil top-scored with 30 runs and Raj Choughule scored 29 were the only bright spots in other wise lackluster chase.
Undoubtedly Vishal Dandekar was the Man of the Match.

This week all matches of Kurukshetra Cup seem to be low scoring affairs. Seems like the New year mood is still up in the air. This is the first edition of the Kurukshetra Cup, which is organized by Rai brothers (Piyush and Devashis) who are the founders of firm beyond-infiniti.
In another such low scorer game, Mycroyance scored just 105 runs in their 20 overs and still managed to win by 21 runs against Kotak. Rases Changoiwala top scored with 37 for Mycroyance while Sandeep Sawant contributed with 21. Sagar Khatri took 3 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs.
The chase should have been a cake walk for Kotak but they scumbbled to some tight bowling by Kores. Both Hrishikesh and Mayuresh bowled beautifully to account for 5 wickets. Hrishekesh was more lethal picking up 3 top order wickets and hence was chosen as the Man of the match.
Digital broadcasting helped by some tight bowling at death by Himanshu Joshi, defeated strong Subsea pro team by 5 wickets in the kurushetra cup. This is the first edition of this tourney which is organized by beyond-infinity, a firm founded by Rai brothers – Devashish and Piyush.
Batting first, subsea pro scored 133 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Subsea could score only 20 runs in last 3 overs inspite of having 4 wickets in hand. Himanshu Joshi was the main bowler who took 3 critical wickets and been economical.
Digital chased down the target with Jatin Sharma top scored with 35.
Himanshu was adjudged Man of the Match.
