Batting first, Digital Broadcast posted a challenging total of 165-7 in its full quota of 20 overs against Radio Mirchi on 2nd April in Mumbai during the Milan Mega Corporate T20 Tournament. Amarjeet scored a fantastic half century which came off in just 27 balls. He smacked seven boundaries in his entertaining knock. Sujay Shetty (2-42 in 4 overs) and Deepak Shirke (2-24 in 4 overs) were the pick of the bowlers for Radio Mirchi. Shirke was economical and bowled in good areas not allowing the batsmen to score freely off his bowling.
Radio Mirchi chased down the target easily in 19 overs, winning the match by five wickets. Riding on Vikesh Gupta’s (50 runs off 50 balls) and Deepak Shirke’s (34 runs off 26 balls) splendid batting efforts, Radio Mirchi ensured a great win against Digital Broadcast. Deepak shinned with both, bat and ball, and played a pivotal role in his team’s victory. Tarun and Amarjeet accounted for couple of wickets each.
Deepak Shirke (2-24 in 4 overs and 34 runs off 26 balls) was bestowed with the Man of the Match award for his wonderful all-round efforts.

National system beats Walt Disney to win the Plate Group Milan Mega Corporate T20 Championship
Batting first, National System posted a daunting total of 171-7 in their full quota of 20 overs against Walt Disney in the final match of Plate Group Milan Mega Corporate T20 Tournament at Karnataka ground, Mumbai on 2nd April. It was a great team effort from National System as almost all the batsmen chipped in with the bat. Opening bat Saurabh Kadam (31 runs off 26 balls) provided a solid start to his team. Then Pratik Goregaonkar, who came in at no.3 contributed 20 runs off 21 balls. Santosh Tapase (31 runs off 25 balls) and Sunil Sangle (31 not out off 19 balls) accelerated the innings, receiving good support from Sukhi Singh (15 runs off 11 balls). Wilims Lijo and Subhendu Bhuyan picked up couple of wickets for Walt Disney.
In reply, Walt Disney played well but was bundled out for 139 in 19.2 overs, thus falling short of 32 runs. It was a comprehensive victory for National System and the team was delighted with its efforts. Hitesh Kolwankar top scored with 32 runs off 26 balls. For National System, it was Rohit Sharma, who bowled brilliantly picking up 3-18 in his four overs. Sharma was right on the money and bowled an economic spell helping his team to defend the total. Haresh, Pratik and Ankit grabbed couple of wickets each.
Rohit Sharma (3-18 in 4 overs and 9 runs off 9 balls) was declared as the Man of the Match as well as Best Bowler for his for wonderful bowling effort. Hitesh Kolwankar bagged the Best Batsman award.



2nd edition of Friendship T20 Trophy is scheduled to begin this year from 9th April’16. Tournament is organized by Friends Cricket Club (FCC) – Dombivli. FCC is founded by Dr. Ashish Dhadas, Mr. Subramaniyan, Mr. Hiren Lakhmani & Mr. Vikrant Shinde in January’2015. Objective of the Club is to provide platform to amateur cricket lovers and young talented players to play cricket and follow their passion. The net practice by FCC is done at Dombivli Gymkhana Cricket academy.
The tournament is being played in 2 groups having 4 teams in each group. Each team will play 3 league matches and top two teams from the Groups will qualify for semis. In Group-A teams are Datamatics (Winners of FCC Trophy last year), Thane Advocates, Reliance General Insurance and Vrindavan Cricket Club-Dombivli. In Group-B teams are Cricket Club of Dombivli, Friends Cricket Club (Runner Up of FCC Trophy last year), Panvel Advocates, SMH Ulhasnagar.

In the Milan Mega Corporate T20 Tournament semi-final match that was played between National System (Dimension Data) and Akumenties on 26th March at Oval Maidan, Mumbai, National System posted a humble 136 in 20 overs. Though the openers Akshay Nagvekar (28 runs off 34 balls) and Sourabh Kadam (30 runs off 30 balls) provided a solid start to their team, the middle and lower middle order failed to capitalize on it. Pratik (31 runs off 26 balls) and Sunil (19 runs off 13 balls) played well but could not go a long way ahead. The Akumentis bowlers deserve credit as they held on together firmly, not allowing the National System batsmen to score freely. Aditya, Raju and Narayan picked up couple of wickets apiece.
Perhaps an easy chase, but Akumentis made a mess of it as they were bundled out for 118 in 19 overs. It was a close match, but in the end Akumentis fell short of mere 18 runs. Ravi Tiwari was the wrecker-in-chief as he grabbed 4-14 in his four overs. Ravi was consistent with his line and length and was right on the money from the very start. He was a treat to watch. Ankit also contributed with the ball, picking up 2-20 in his four overs. Raju top scored with 27 runs off 20 balls, but received no support whatsoever from his fellow team-mates.
Ravi Tiwari (4-14 in 4 overs) was bestowed with the Man of the Match award for his brilliant bowling display.

Route SMS clinched a comprehensive victory against Deutsche Bank on 19th March at Cross Maidan, Mumbai during the Woods T20 Corporate Cricket Tournament. Batting first, Deutsche Bank was restricted to a modest 113-7 in 20 overs, thanks to some brilliant bowling from Route SMS. Bhavik Patel (3-13 in 4 overs) and Sumit Dhekle (2-24 in 4 overs) bowled well in tandem, not allowing Deutsche Bank to score freely. Patel bowled in right areas throughout his spell and maintained a consistent line and length. Satyapraskash top scored with 34 runs off 26 balls, but his efforts went in vain as his team failed to post a good score on the board.
Chasing 114 runs was an easy task for Route SMS. They achieved the target in – overs, winning the match by seven wickets. The openers Pranay Patil (41 runs off 23 balls) and (36 runs off 22 balls) provided a solid start to the run chase. It was then followed by Vishal Dugaonkar’s (29 not out off 15 balls) wonderful knock that helped Route SMS to finish off the game in style. Deven picked up 2-15 in his 2.3 overs alongwith Siddharth Angane who struck 1-27 in his three overs.
Bhavik Patel (3-13 in 4 overs) was announced as the Man of the Match for his fantastic bowling performance.
Batting first, DNA posted a challenging total of 156-9 in their full quota of 20 overs against HP on 26th March at Cross Maidan, Mumbai during the Milan Mega Corporate T20 Tournament league match. Opening bat G.Krishnan top scored with a blistering 34 off just 24 balls, smacking five boundaries in his wonderful knock. Krishnan looked aggressive and had a positive intent right from the start. He found gaps at regular intervals and gave a good solid start to DNA. Right arm medium pace bowler Yogesh Rao was brilliant with the ball, picking up 4-28 in his four overs. Ishan bowled well with Yogesh in tandem and accounted for two scalps as well.
It was a good chase from HP, but they fell short of 20 runs as they were restricted to 136-7 in 20 overs. It was an ordinary batting performance from HP, with only one batsman Nikhil Sawant reaching the 20-run mark. Rest of the line-up fell cheaply to some fantastic bowling performance of DNA. Off break bowler Taus Rizvi was the pick of the bowlers, picking up 3-18 in his four overs. Rutvick Mehta also rolled his arm over to pick up 2-13 in his four overs.
G.Krishnan (34 runs off 24 balls) was awarded with the Man of the Match prize for his match winning knock.

Subsea Pro was restricted to a humble 128-8 in 20 overs against Nomura in the final match of Shiraz-e-Hind T20 Tournament on 25th March in Mumbai. Swapnil (48 runs off 33 balls) and Rajkumar (24 runs off 35 balls) were the major contributors with the willow. Nilesh Kangane was too good to handle finishing off with the excellent figures of 4-18 in his four overs. Nilesh was consistent with his line and length and was spectacular to watch.
The final match was a thrilling contest as it went down the wire till the last over. Nomura chased down the target in 19.2 overs, winning the match by four wickets. Ajinkya Patil top scored with 35 runs off 39 cherries and played the anchor’s role in Nomura’s batting. Anupam Tyagi and Swapnil Nigudkar picked up two wickets each.
Nilesh Kangane (4-18 in 4 overs) was declared announced as the Man of the Match for hisfantastic bowling performance. Best Batsman award was conferred on Akash Patil (Omni Marines) and Best Bowler award went to Pratik Ahluwalia (Nomura).



Route SMS posted a challenging 246 in 40 overs against HUS Films on 25th March in Mumbai during the Gold final match of Shiraz-e-Hind 40 over Cricket Tournament. Bhushan Tandel (45 runs off 43 balls), Saeed Shaikh (50 runs off 46 balls) and Siddharth (55 runs off 30 balls) were the batting pillars that helped Route SMS to put up a strong total on board. Siddharth was simply exceptional with the bat and was a treat to watch. He had the perfect blend of defence and aggression in his entertaining knock. Irfan Ansari and Hitesh Singh shined with the ball for HUS as they picked up three wickets apiece.
Chasing over six runs per over was always going to be tough. HUS batted well and held on to their nerves to score 202-8 in 40 overs. They lost the match by 44 runs. Mehtab Shaikh (44 runs off 54 balls) and Suresh Kamble (54 runs off 46 balls) tried hard but could not help their team to cross the line. Shailesh Dubli and Bhushan Tandel grabbed couple of wickets each for Route SMS.
Siddharth (55 runs off 30 balls) was declared as the Man of the Match for his batting brilliance. Bhushan Tandel of Route SMS and Suresh Kamble of HUS were announced as the Best Bowler and Best Batsman respectively.




MSCI was bundled out for a paltry 110 in 20 overs against Route SMS on 26th March at Venus Sports Academy, Mumbai during the Woods T20 Corporate Cricket Tournament. Opening bat Ankit top scored with 30 runs off 41 balls and found able ally in middle order bat Sunil who scored a quick-fire 29 runs off 18 balls. Bhushan was the wrecker-in-chief as he picked up 3-20 in his spell of four overs. He was outstanding with the ball and maintained a disciplined line and length.
Chasing 111 runs was a cake walk for Route SMS as they achieved the target in just 10 overs. The opening pair of Pranay (48 not out off 30 balls) and Bhushan (50 not out off 30 balls) stitched a beautiful partnership and took their team home. They looked in good touch and helped their team to win the match comprehensively by 10 wickets. Bhushan had an outstanding day on field as he shined with both, bat and ball.
Bhushan (3-20 in 4 overs and 50 not out off 30 balls) was declared as the Man of the Match for his fantastic all-round performance.
