In a score of 69, Sumit & Rohan were the only players with leading scores of 17 & 17 respectively. It was a collectively good perfomance by all the bowlers who consistently took wickets and also contained the batsman. Rahul who is a right-arm medium fast bowler proved to be quite effective in troubling the batsman.

As their senior player Rohan Bane shared with Cricketgraph ‘’That even if he would have played alone, our team would have won the match’

Tata Capital won the toss & elected to field first with an aim of restricting them to a low score. However, they were not aware what was in the store for them as Tata Power made a complete mayhem of the opposition bowlers. Nikhil Patil chipped in with a solid 43 followed by Praful Waghela‘s 28 & a 8ball 24 by Wilkin Mota. When a team performs together, you don’t need to rely on just one player or the captain to win the match. When all the players work together as a team, good results are bound to come & one such example was the semi-final match between BCC (Boys Cricket Club, Dombivali) & Salgaonkar Sports Club (SSC, Thane)

Winning the toss, BCC elected to field first because not only was the pitch helpful for the bowlers but also they had a good bowling line-up to restrict the oppsoiton to a low total. Their decision did reap them dividends as Salgaonkar Sports Club were all out for just 144 runs. Bhagya Sehgal was the only batman who crossed 30+ & looked good for his 36. Collectively it was a good bowling effort by the BCC boys as they contained the batsman and also took wickets. Vedant Patil & Soham Talekar were amazing with the ball as both the players scalped 4wkts each with bowling figures of 4/21(4) & 4/9(4.2) respectively. Soham Rane also chipped in with 2wkts & supported Vedant and Soham nicely.

Chasing 145 is not the toughest of tasks & BCC proved it as they won the match by 7wkts and chased it in just 30.3 overs. The openers did not gave best of the starts but Harsh Palande & Pratham Nambiar came up with good knocks of 37 & 46 respectively. Pratham looked particularly confident & it was a match winning knock from him.

Cricketgraph congratulates the team for their commendable win and also wishes all the boys & especially Soham, Vedant & Pratham for their brilliant individual perfomances. Looking at their current form, they certainly look a tough nut to crack for the finals.

Winning the toss, Tata Steel Jamshedpur were off to a tricky start with their no.2 & 3 falling cheaply. Opener Siddarth Neelam scored a solid 37 off just 42 balls (2fours, 1 six). Satyajit Gera (27) & Ranjit Bera (25) chipped in with 20’s but no one below them were able to fire. Hence Tata Steel managed to reach only 136/9 in 20 overs & were not able to cross the 150 run mark. It was an interesting encounter between TCS & Tata Capital at the National C.C, Cross Maidan in Mumbai. Tata Capital won the toss & elected to field first as the wicket was good to bowl on. Also the big fish of Tata Capital Kaustubh Pawar made the right noises just before the IPL on what he is capable of as he scored a thunderous 65* off just 27 balls.

TCS failed to get a good start with their top order struggling to make runs. Pinkesh Tandel at no.4 was the only player who managed to score in 2 digits for TCS as he made a quick 24 off just 16 balls. However the tight bowling by the opposition did not allow them to score freely and they managed to make only 95/8 in 20 overs. Slow left arm bowler Vishal Dabholkar & Parikshit Valsangkar were the pick of the bowlers taking 3/13 & 2/20 respectively. The rest of the bowlers also did a good job around them to restrict TCS to a low score.
