It was a match full of twists and turns & it was also a match where we got to witness some brave fight from the batsman and a commendable job by the bowlers. Islam Gymkhana & Mumbai Police faced off for a crucial encounter of the tournament where Mumbai Police won the toss & elected to field first as the pitch was having due and was really good for bowling.
The decision to bowl first did proved to be perfect for Mumbai Police as Islam Gymkhana were struggling at one point at 48/6. The openers and the top order batsman failed to fire. In fact such was the condition of Islam Gymkhana that they were struggling at one point with 7down for mere 70 runs. However, their right-handed wicket-keeper batsman Mehboob Shaikh who came in at no.5 ressurected the innings like a craftsman and helped his team come out of trouble & also save his team from getting out for a below 100 score. Just like Dhoni has done numerous times for India in such situations, Mehboob perfectly played like Dhoni as he scored 48 runs of just 35balls which included 5fours & 2sixes to take his team total to 124/10 in 18.5 overs. Had he not played this knock, the team could have been all-out for 80-90 runs. Left-arm spinner Neeraj’s bowling should not be neglected as he wonderfully troubled the batsman taking 5/12 in 4overs. Neeraj’s bowling was almost unplayable on that track & it was a great display of spin bowling.
However, Chasing 125, Mumbai Police could not live up to their expectations in batting as much as they did with the ball as they managed to reach only 114/8 in 20 overs. Left-arm spinner Shoaib bowled a good spell taking 3/18 while Danish bowled a crucial over where he conceded only 2runs in the 3rd last over when 23runs were needed of 3 overs.
Islam Gymkhana won a thrilling low scoring match by 10runs & it was a collective team perfomance. Wicket-keeper Mehboob shaikh who scored a match-winning 48 at the middle order along with 2catches was the player of the match. Cricketgraph wishes Mehboob & the whole team all the luck for a great future ahead.
The Navroz Cricket ground witnessed a great show by the Liberty Videocon boys as they single handedly whitewashed the opposition with their good bowling and batting perfomance. Winning the toss, Great Ship India elected to field first with an aim of restricting Liberty to a low total.
However, it was a good batting perfomance as they managed to score 169/7 in 20 overs. It was a shaky start as the openers fell early but Abhay Gharat at no.3 came in and scored a solid 49 at the of the order. Abhay Gharat scored 49 runs of just 32balls & was hitting boundaries with authority. It was Abhay’s knock which strengthened the Liberty’s innings as the rest of the batsman batted around him chipping in with 10’s and 20’s. It was a decent bowling perfomance too with Vinod being the pick of the bowlers from Great ship with bowling figures of 3/21 followed by 2wkts each for santosh & abhijeet.
Chasing 170 in the 2nd innings does become a daunting task sometimes & Great Ship India did felt the pressure as they were all-out for just 89 runs in 16.4 overs. The bowlers did an amazing job to contain the batsman & not allowing them to score freely. Right-arm spinner Suni was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/16 in 3.4 overs while Abhay who had already done a commendable job with the ball also took 2wkts in 1 over to make it a complete all-round perfomance.
Liberty Videocon won the match by 80runs while Abhay was declared ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates Abhay & the whole team for their win & wishes them to continue their good perfomance.
It was a match which consisted full-on entertainment by the Sind Sports Club (SSC) batsman as they made a mammoth 244/5 in 20 overs. On a track where batting was difficult and the earlier team on the same day defended a score of 152 in 20 overs, SSC did quite a commendable job of posting such a big total in the 1st innings at the Islam Gymkhana Ground.
Sind Sports Club won the toss & elected to bat first as they have a good batting line-up. Right-handed opener Arman Sheikh who started off cautiously went on to score a blazing 39ball 66 (4fours & 4 sixes) to give a perfect start at the top of the order. Arman looked confident and smashed boundaries at will playing the openers role to the hilt. Shoaib Siddique who came in at no.5 almost created a record of sorts falling just 5 runs & a few balls short of what could have been one of the most fastest & entertaining hundreds in the tournament or in the local cricketing circles. Shoaib Siddique scored a mesmerizing 95 off mere 36 deliveries & was smashing the ball as if he was on a secret mission to dismantle the opposition. Shoaib who scored 95 smashed as many as 7 fours & 8 big sixes to enthrall the viewers & also stitched a match-winning partnership of 100+ runs with Arman Sheikh. What’s more Shoaib also smashed 4sixes in 4balls to up the temperatures and pulses against the opposition spinner Nabijaan who was really bowling good & had bowled 3 good overs before that final over.
In reply, Sunrise Sports club managed to make only 108/9 in 20 overs and SSC won the match by a big margin of 135 runs. It was a good collective bowling perfomance where the bowlers just did not allow the opposition to score freely. Puneet Tripathy bowled amazingly well taking 4wkts followed by 2wkts for R.Mishra.
Looking at the current form of Shoaib & Arman the future opponents must be already making some strategies to counter-attack them. Cricketgraph congratulates the entire S.S.C team as well as these two young lads Shoaib & Arman for their brilliant batting. Cricketgraph also wishes them all the luck for a great future ahead.

It was a moment of pride and joy for Souvenir Cricket Club as they won the Bombay Jr. tournament for the first time ever. It was the sheer hard work, a perfect team co-ordination & some great individual performances along the line which took them towards the victory.
Played at Karnataka Sporting Association, New Hindu Cricket club which is equally a powerful side to beat elected to bat first but were not able to make much of an impact as they managed to score only 135/10 in 32.4 overs. Jayesh Thakkar was the only one who looked solid and was able to cross the 30+ run mark with his 69ball 38. Mayur Vichare & Ronak shinde were the pick of the bowlers with bowling figures of 3/15 & 2/11 respectively. The rest of the bowlers also did a fine job containing the batsman & taking wickets at the right intervals.
Chasing 136 in 45 overs & that too in finals is surely not the best targets to give & neither is it a daunting task when you have a good batting line up like Souvenir C.C. Souvenir C.C chased the target in mere 24.5 overs & won the match by 5wkts. The ever consistent opener Rohan Bane scored a solid 55 off just 39balls including 6fours & 2sixes to help his team seal the match. The rest of the batsman chipped in with contributions while Aniket Surve at no.3 also played a gutsy knock of 41 off just 66balls. Nikhil Ajgaonkar bowled well taking taking 3/31.
It was a moment of sheer joy for the entire Souvenir team as they lifted the trophy for the 1st time. Cricketgraph congratulates the entire

as well as ‘man of the match’ Rohan Bane for their excellent display of consistent perfomances & also wishes them to continue their good vein of form in the future too.
FCC smashers & (CCD) Cricket Club of Dombivali entered into a crucial face-off at Asahi India Glass Ltd, Taloja. Looking at the pitch conditions, Cricket Club of Dombivali elected to field first with an expectation and aim of restricting the opposition to a low score.
However, C.C.D were unaware of the batting carnage which was going to come from the FCC Smashers as they managed to make 188/4 in 20 overs. Openers Deepak Gaikwad & Prashant Nair both gave an excellent start at the top of the order which developed a positive momentum. While Deepak scored 45 of 41, right handed Prashant Nair scored a solid 55 off just 42balls. Right-handed Ashish Dhadas continued the positive momemtum & made the most of it as he went completely berserk against the bowlers. Ashish Dhadas scored an entertaining 49 off just 20balls. What’s more Ashish played like a boss dealing mostly in boundaries, sorry not boundaries, only sixes! as he smashed as many as 6big sixes to enthrall his team mates and the spectators alike.
Chasing 189, C.C.D were all out for just 116runs in 18.2overs. Almost every bowler chipped in with a wicket or two & it was a collectively good bowling perfomance with Sagar Nehete & sagar vaiude being the pick of the bowlers taking 2wkts each while Ashish Dhadas also taking a wicket making it an all-round perfomance.
FCC smashers won the match by 72runs & Ashish dhadas was declared ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates Ashish & the whole team and wishes them to continue their form till the end of the tournament.
Two strong teams of group B faced each other in the ongoing Samata Friendship Trophy 2017, played at Taloja cricket ground. Pravin Tambe Cricket Academy from Mulund locked horns with the imposing Reliance team. Reliance team batted first and they seemed to be in top gear from the first over itself. Openers got off to a solid start as the ball was hit to all corners of the ground. PT academy’s offie, Deepak Tolani provided the first breakthrough with a ball which skidded off to knock Parikshit Tripathi’s off stump. Break throughs are usually supposed to slow the pace of the game however this breakthrough went in favour of Reliance. One down batsman, Utsav Berangi who scored 54 off just 33 balls accelerated the innings with 6 sixes and 1 four and Relaince at one stage looked poised for a total in excess of 180.
The witty skipper of PT Academy, Tausif khan sensing trouble ,bought in his trusted lieutenant Mahendra Patil also known as “Mesmerising Mendis”. From that point onwards it was all Mahendra Patil’s show and not a single Reliance batsman could read Patil’s fingers. At one stage Patil was on a hat-trick but he would be happy to settle with 6 Reliance wickets against his name. Patil’s bowling was so accurate that most of his victims were clean bowled.
PT academy did a fantastic job of restricting Reliance’s innings to 149.
Chasing a target of 150 can at times becomes tricky however PT academy batsmen batted like professionals playing the ball at its merit. Opener batsman, Ram Singh displayed both class and aggression in his innings of 46 off 32 balls. He was ably supported by Yash Parab who scored 49 off 44 balls. In the end PT academy comfortably chased 150 with 2 overs to spare.
The day belonged to Mahendra Patil and he was rightly adjudged Man of the Match for his spell of 4 overs – 15 runs and 6 wickets.
It was a tough match at Oval maidan between two competitive teams namely Viacom 18 & Loreal. The pitch was neutral as Viacom18 won the toss & elected to bat first with an aim of putting Loral under pressure by posting a big total on the board.
It was a decent perfomance batting first as Viacom 18 managed to make 145/9 in 20 overs. Opener Amol Bankar was the leading scorer with a gutsy half century but the rest of the batsmen were not able to carry off the positive momentum left by Amol. Left-arm medium pacer Navneet was the pick of the bowlers with an amazing bowling spell of 4/27 in 4 overs. Navneet took crucial breakthroughs & was nicely supported by the other bowlers like Sandeep & Kundan who also 2 wickets each.
Chasing 146, team Loreal did it in most comfortable fashion as they won the match by 9wkts & 2.5overs to spare. Left-handed opener Malay singh was the star batsman who remained unbeaten with his solid 69* off just 57balls. Opener Rishikesh also played a solid knock of 41 as both the openers almost stitched a 100+ run partnership to seal the game single-handedly.
Loreal won the match by 9wkts & dashing opener Malay Singh was declared ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant knock at the top of the order. Cricketgraph congratulates the entire team and Malay & wishes them that their good form continues for a long long time.

There are some matches where a single player changes the game and then there are matches where players collectively give efforts & contribute to win the match. It was a similar case for team Citius as they played together like a pack of wolves to win over Eclarx in the ongoing Dreamz T20 tournament.
Played at high court ground, Mumbai, Team Citius tech won the toss & elected to bat first as the pitch was good to bat on. Opener Saurabh fell early but Chirag played a solid knock at the top of the order scoring a confident 41. At no.3 came right-handed Mahesh Kharat who scored a crucial 47 off just 42 balls. Mahesh kept the scorecard ticking and also stitched a great partnership with Chirag which took their team total to a respectable 148/7 in 20 overs. Middle-order bats Ankit & Prasad also chipped in with quick 20’s which further boosted their game. Ashish & Adarsh bowled tight spells & were pick of the bowlers with bowling figures of 2/17 & 2/29 respectively.
Chasing 149 in 20 overs is always a mixed bag sort of pressure situation & Eclarx succumbed to the pressure of chasing & some good bowling by the Citius bowlers. All the bowlers contributed in their capacity & made things difficult for Eclarx. Right-arm spinner Rohit was the pick of the bowlers with 3/16 in 4 overs followed by 2wkts for saurabh & a wicket each for the rest of the bowlers.
It was a collective team perfomance by the players as Citius tech won the match by 34 runs. Mahes Kharat was declared ‘man of the match’ for his sparkling 47. Cricketgraph congratulates the whole team for their victory as well as wishes them all the luck for their future matches.

The captain really does not need to worry when the entire team is working in tandem. The team is just at a different level of confidence when all the players try to contribute their best. One such match was between Young Mohmedians Cricket Club & Souvenir Cricket Club at the Islam Gymkhana ground in Mumbai where Rugved Chaudhary, Satish Kadam & Azhar Querishi played well to help their team clinch a win.
Souvenir CC won the toss & elected to bat first after winning the toss and make the most of the pitch conditions. Right-handed opener Rugved Chaudhary who shared some excerpts with cricketgraph told us ‘he told his partner Rohan to play the anchor’s role while he will do the talking with the bat’ & he rightly acted upon his words as he scored a blazing 47 off just 21 balls at the top of the order. Rudved smashed 7fours & 2big sixes to enthrall his team & the spectators alike while the rest of the batsman below him continued the positive momemtum & chipped in with 20’s to push the team total to 192/7 in 20 overs.
Chasing 193 at almost 9.5runs per over is not the easiest of tasks & Young Mohmedians did felt the brunt of chasing as they were all-out for mere 86 runs in 14.3 overs. The bowlers did a commendable job of containing the batsman & especially right arm medium pacer Satish kadam(4/14 in 2.3) & left arm orthodox spinner Azhar Querishi(3/11 in 4) as they took 7wkts together to dismantle the entire batting line-up of the opposition.
Cricketgraph congratulates the entire team & these 3 players for their combined brilliance on the field & wishes them to continue playing this good brand of cricket for a long long time.
