It was a tight match played at Elphinstone Oval in Mumbai between two strong teams namely AMS & TRITON XI. AMS won the toss on a good batting track like Oval & elected to bat first with an aim of making a good total on the board to defend.

Batting first, AMS did got some early jitters when they were struggling at 20/2. However, all-rounder Huzefa Tinwala entered the crease & scored a match winning 60 off just 46balls which included 6fours & a six to take his team to a very competitive total of 174/7 in 20overs. Apart from him the rest of the batsman chipped in with 10’s & 20’s with S Oberoi being the 2nd highest scorer with a 22ball 28. Mandar Sawant & Param Talvar were the pick of the bowlers taking 2/26 & 2/30 respectively.
Chasing 175 at 8.5 runs per over, Triton felt the pressure of chasing against a good bowling line-up of AMS as they restricted Triton to just 125/10 in 19.1 overs. Sanjiv Singh bowled well taking 3/24 in 3.1 overs but it was left-arm seamer Hamid Siddique’s one over which changed the game wherein he took 3wkts in 6balls & came up with bowling figures of 4/12 in his 4overs.
AMS won the match comfortably by 49runs & Huzefa was declared ‘man of the match’ for his all-round perfomance where he scored a quick 60 & also took a wicket while Hamid also bowled a match winning spell. Cricketgraph congratulates the whole team for their win while also wishes them luck for their future encounters.

Mitsui Shoji T20 Tournament is turning out to be intense & eventful as it reached its 7th day on 11.05.17 where the powerful Bandra boys clashed with the promising Thane Marathas in the 1st match of the day while Ghatkopar jets faced Shivaji Park Warriors in the evening.
In the 1st match which was held at Sachivalay Ground in Mumbai, Thane Marathas won the toss & elected to bat first. They weren’t aware that it wasn’t the best of the days in the office as they were skittled out for just 70/10 in 13.3 overs. It was a great team perfomance where every bowler chipped in with wickets while Shashikant Kadam was the best of the lot taking 2/7 in 2overs. Chasing a small target of 71, Thane did not allow them to win easily before taking away their 5wkts. Eventually, Bandra Heroes chased down the score in 9.4 overs where Shasikant Kadam was declared ‘man of the match’. Bandra boys also gave some rest to their in-form opener Aman Khan as he did not open the innings, in fact he came 5 down hitting the winning runs with Shams Maulani.
The 2nd match was again not a high scoring one where Ghatkopar jets after smartly electing to field first restricted Shivaji Park Warriors to 103/9 in 15overs. Left-arm spinner Puneet Tripathy came up with one of the best & economical figures of the tournament so far giving away only 4runs & taking 4wkts in his 3 overs. Yash Dicholkar also bowled well taking 3/18 in his 3overs. Chasing 104 at less than 6runs per over, Ghatkopar Jets won the match by 10wkts & chased down the score in mere 10.1 overs. Opener Aktar Shaikh smashed a brilliant 78* off just 44balls which included 7fours & 5 big sixes to complete the match single handedly with his opening partner Kushal (22*) to win the match in style. Ghatkopar won the match & opener Aktar was declared ‘man of the match’ for his splendid knock.
The tournament is certainly getting intense & the teams are giving their best to enter the play-offs & lift the trophy. Cricketgraph congratulates both the winning teams for their win while wishes luck to all the teams for more intense entertaining encounters in the coming days.

The award is bestowed on the best bowler of the week, based on the performance in the corporate cricket leagues. The winner is awarded with attractive prizes which include a certificate of appreciation and a BCCI approved Kimati leather cricket ball.
A match which took everyone by surprise because earlier there used to be a time when players would take 7 or 8wkt haul in tests but bowlers like Sujith are just proving how T20 is changing at an intense level. Just few days ago we got a shocker from Rudra who scored a 200 in a T20 & now comes Sujith who takes a 7wkt haul in a T20 game.
Held at Parsee Cyclists Ground in Mumbai, Tech Mahindra won the toss & elected to bat first. However it wasn’t the best of the performances with the bat as they managed to put only 133/7 on the board. Hardly any batsman was able to convert his start apart from Yash Divan who was the leading scorer smashing a very solid looking 50 off just 44balls (5fours). The bowlers did a really good job with Altamash ahmed being the pick of the bowlers taking 3/17 in 4 overs followed by 2wkts for Ritesh Vaity.
Chasing 134 is an achievable task 8 out of 10 times but who knew Tech Mahindra’s left arm spinner Sujith Matthew was in a completely different zone in that match. 4wkts in a T20 was good, 5wkt haul is simply magical in a T20 but have you heard of a 7wkt haul in T20s?
So before we reveal his figures, we want to suggest the readers not to get shocked or not believe this bowling figures as Sujith Matthew took 7wkts in 4overs giving just 4runs. That’s not all, what stunned everyone around was his 3rd over where he took a mesmerizing 5wkts in 5balls where all of them were clean bowled one after one. Sujith certainly finished the game in just one over as Alexion Business Services was all out for just 89/10.
With this perfomance, Sujith also surpasses Ajanta Mendis & Rangana herath’s record of best bowling figures in a T20 of 6/8 & 5/3 respectively (considering all the levels of T20). Cricketgraph heartily congratulates Sujith Matthew for this exceptional perfomance & it certainly proves once & for all how much untapped talent India has in every nook and corner of our nation.
It was a low-scoring match indeed but sometimes even low scoring matches are interesting and one such match was between CMI & Clear Trip at the Zoroastrian ground in Mumbai. Clear Trip won the toss & elected to field first to restrict the opposition to a low total & put CMI under pressure.
Their decision to bowl first did prove to be a smart one as Clear Trip managed to restrict CMI for just 136/10 in 19.4 overs. Right-handed opener Mayur Rane was the only one who looked solid for his stay at the crease as he scored a composed 42 off 32balls which included 5fours. Apart from him Omkar also looked good scoring 29 off just 24 at no.3. Shaoor & Prabhat bowled really well taking 3wkts each followed by 2wkts for Shakir & 1wkt for Faiyaz. The bowlers did a really good job where they bowled in the right areas and kept on taking wickets at regular intervals.
Chasing 137 in a T20 game is most of the times achievable but CMI bounced back with the ball while Clear Trip could not replicate the good perfomance with the bat which they did with the ball as they were all out for 131/10 in 19.3overs. Vinit was the pick of the bowlers with bowling figures of 3/23 followed by 2wkts each for Nishant & skipper Rupesh Shinde. Mayur also chipped in with a wicket with his off-spin.
The match remained interesting till the end & CMI won by a margin of just 5runs. All-rounder Mayur Rane was declared ‘man of the match’ for his all-round show while the rest of the bowlers also did a great job. It was a complete team perfomance from both the sides & cricketgraph congratulates and also wishes luck to continue playing good brand of cricket in the future too.

First of all while reading don’t get shocked by reading the stats on what is about to come because this enigmatic opener has just completely slayed the opposition team & has won the hearts of many around the world when he scored a double century in a T20 game recently. Yes Rudra Dhandey on 11.03.17 became the first cricketer in any format combined in the game of cricket to score a double century in a T20 game.

It was a game between P Dalmia & Rizvi College of Abiz Rizvi Champions Trophy at Matunga Gymkhana Ground where history got created. Rizvi College on a good track like Matunga elected to bat first & in came opener Rudra who was in a different zone altogether. Rizvi College made a gigantic score of 322/2 in 20 overs which is sometimes not chaseable even in a 50 over game. The man of the moment was rizvi’s right-handed opener Rudra Dhandey who scored 200 off mere 67 balls. Rudra’s 1st hundred came off 39balls while to everyone’s surprise he technically also scored the fastest hundred in the world too as his 2nd hundred came off mere 28balls. Playing at a strike rate off above 300, Rudra smashed 21fours & as many as 15 big sixes in his stroke-laden knock. Rudra must have dented the bowler’s confidence a lot & we are sure every bowler affected will need some time to make a comeback again as he did not spare any of the bowlers while caressing runs in every corner of the ground. Becoming the 1st double centurion in a T20 format surpassing Gayle’s 175, the 19 year old Rudra straight away dedicated the knock to his parents. In-form Aakarshit Gomel also played a fine knock scoring 63 off just 26balls which included 4fours & 6sixes.
Chasing 323 at 16runs per over is almost not possible. Sometimes when 15-20 runs are left in the last one over and you win is a different thing but scoring 15-20 runs in every over of the game is almost an impossible task full of pressure. P Dalmia were all out for just 75/10 in 10.2 overs where Kunal Gavand took 3wkts followed by 2wkts each for Abul Kalam & Vikas Singh. Rizvi College won the match by one of the biggest margins in a T20 game by 247runs & Rudra Dhandey for obvious reasons was declared ‘man of the match’ for his magnificent knock.
We at Cricketgraph feel proud to see such talents existing in india & it just proves everyday that India has a huge stock of cricketing blood in the veins of aspiring youngsters like Rudra. Cricketgraph also congratulates Rizvi team for their big win & wishes luck to all the players for a promising future ahead.

Steve Waugh had once said that if you have all-rounders like Afridi or Symonds in your team, you don’t need the remaining 10 players to perform when it’s their day because they can single handedly make you win matches. One such perfomance like that we got to see was from Shiva Yadav in a match against WTW representing L&T at the MB Union ground in Mumbai.

WTW won the toss & elected to bowl first with an aim of restricting L&T to a low total. Their decision to bowl first did appear to be spot on when L&T was 2 down for 0 runs while struggling on 20/3 at one point. But All-rounder Shiva who had opened the innings kept his calm while wickets fell from the other end until left-handed Sagar came & both the players stitched a match-winning partnership of around 120 runs which completely brought them back into the game. Right-handed Shiva Yadav scored 67 off just 52balls while Sagar scored a crackling 58 off mere 27balls. Both the batsman smashed the balls with complete authority & especially Sagar who was looking destructive playing at a strike rate of above 200. Skipper Nishit completed the innings with a stylish 24ball 40 to help them reach a total of 195/8 in 20 overs from nowhere. Prem was the pick of the bowlers taking 3wkts followed by 2 for samrat.
Chasing 196 at almost 10runs per over, WTW succumbed to the pressure of chasing & were bundled out for just 93runs in 16 overs. All-rounder Shiva Yadav certainly raised his stakes as an all-rounder as he came up with stunning bowling figures of 5/7 in 3 overs with his left-arm spin.
L&T won the match comfortably by a big margin of 102runs & all-rounder Shiva Yadav was declared ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant perfomance. Cricket & especially Indian cricket needs more & more all-rounders like Shiva & cricketgraph wishes Shiva & the whole team all the luck for a promising future ahead.

It was the all-important semi-finals of the JD Sports Tournament between IDFC & GEBS at the MB union cross maidan in Mumbai. The match was a complete entertainment all thanks to Saurabh tripathy’s fireworks with the bat inside the stadium. IDFC won the toss & elected to bowl first with an aim of restricting GEBS to a low total and putting the opposition under pressure.
Unintentionally batting first did reap rewards as GEBS managed to score a very healthy total of 223/5 in 20 overs. Opener Saurabh Tripathy made complete mayhem of the bowlers as he went on to score one of the most brutal hundreds of the tournament scoring 119 off mere 60balls. Saurabh completely decimitated the bowlers in every corner of the ground smashing 8fours & 5 big sixes enroute his 60ball stay at the crease where he played at a strike rate of almost 200. Rohan & Jigar also chipped in with a quick 21 & 28respectively to push the score to a highly defendable one.

Chasing 224 at 11runs per over, things just got difficult for IDFC as they were bundled out for just 129/10 in 19overs. The bowlers did a really good job of restricting the batsman while also taking wickets at regular intervals. Darshan was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/17 followed by 2wtks for Raja.
GEBS won the match by 94 runs & win the semi-finals while opener Saurabh Tripathy was declared ‘man of the match’ for his promising hundred. Cricketgraph congratulates Saurabh & the whole team for putting up such a good show & wishes them all the luck for a great future ahead.

The MB Union Cross Maidan witnessed yet another exciting match between JP Morgan and Kotak Mahindra of the Dreamz T20 Tournament. Kotak Mahindra won the toss & decided to bowl first & put JP boys under pressure by restricting them to a low total.
However, JP Morgan made good use of batting first as they managed to score a very decent score of 170/5 in 20overs. JP Morgan were struggling at one point on 80/3 in 14overs . But in came their all-rounder Sandesh Kunder who scored a brilliant 54 off mere 27balls to take his team to a very competitive total. Right-handed Sandesh smashed 3 fours & 4sixes at will and accelerated in the death overs which made this knock a very crucial knock for JP team. Opener Hoshiyar R also played a solid looking 45 off just 39balls followed by a quick 28 off just 14balls by Deepankar. Vikram chipped in with 2wkts while the rest of the bowlers also did a fairly good job.
Chasing 171 at more than 8runs per over, the pressure of chasing reached their heads as they were all-out for just 133/10 in 19.4 overs. Once again it was Sandesh Kunder who took the centrestage as he picked up 3/36 in his 4overs with his off-spin. Kishor & Nikhil also bowled well chipping in with 2wkts each.
JP Morgan won the match by 33runs & Sandesh Kunder was declared ‘man of the match’ for his all-round contribution. Cricketgraph congratulates Sandesh & the whole team for their win & wishes them luck for their upcoming matches too.

Bowling on different pitches under different conditions is always a tough job. The bowlers have to adjust according to the pitch, the batsman & the whole match situation overall. It’s certainly a hardworking task where a bowler has to toil hard for hours until he is reaped with rewards.
Finally with a great response since we started from March, the April rankings are out & keeping the match situation, the pitch condition, the level of the opposition & many other things without getting unbiased, Cricketgraph has shortlisted these bowling spells amongst the best for the month of April. One more interesting trend which we noticed was the improvement in the quality of left-arm spinners which was once a rarity in India. Surprisingly 5 out of 6 players in April who came up with the best performances are left-arm spinners which is a very positive sign for cricket in Mumbai & India overall.
Once again there will be two joint holders in the ‘Joint 5th Ranking’ as we don’t want to miss out on any good perfomances & let them go unnoticed.
Joint at no.5
Soham Pitkar- 4/6 (U-16) SINGHANIA TROPHY

Left-arm spinner Soham Pitkar & his partner Naman Hiren took 7wkts together in this match and successfully defeated BSMS school. Representing Lokpuram School at the Raymonds Cricket ground which was a damp pitch, it was surely a commendable bowling perfomance as soham came up with envious bowling figures of 4/6 by Soham.
Aarush Patankar- 4/5 (U-16 SINAGHANIA TROPHY)

Left-arm spinner Aarush Patankar had bowled a wonderful spell giving away just 5runs & taking 4wkts against VPM school which eventually helped his team Billabong High school win the match which was played at the Raymonds Cricket Ground in Mumbai.
5. Hitesh Kadam- 5/20, 68th Salar Jung Tournament

It was a match which was quite important in its way because it was the crucial quarter-finals of the Salar Jung Tournament at Islam Gymkhana where Khizer shone with the bat while left-arm spinner Hitesh Kadam was the chief destroyer with the ball. Eventually his bowling helped Islam gymkhana team win the match over Young Friend Cricket Club & qualify for the semi-finals.
4. Mayank Gala- 5/30, Masters Cup

Mayank Gala zooms past above Hitesh Kadam because in the same match he had also contributed with the bat scoring a 30ball 45. In the same match Mayank dismantled the opposition with his right-arm spin taking 5/30 in his 4 overs helping his team Birla Sunlife defeat a quality side like Tata Motors at the Elf Vengarkar Academy in Oval, Mumbai.
3. Aarush Patankar- 5/32 (U-16) Singhania Trophy

Talented Aarush Patankar once again makes it to the list when he took a stunning fifer against Dnyansagar International School at the Raymonds Cricket Ground in Mumbai. Aarush came up with excellent bowling figures of 5/32 which strengthened his team’s position in the game & eventually helping his team win the game.
2. Nehal Katakdhond- 5/7, Samata Friendship Trophy

These were some stunning bowling figures by left-arm spinner Nehal Katakdhond where he conceded only 7runs in 4overs & took as many as 5wkts vs CCD to help his team Datamatics win the match comfortably at Asahi India Glass ltd. ground in Taloja.
& FINALLY THE NO.1
Nirek Gavand- 6/14, (U-16) Singhania Trophy

This little dynamo stands tall at no.1 in the April rankings as he stunned the batsman with his effective left-arm spin notching up one of the best bowling figures of the tournament as he scalped 6/14 in 4 overs at the Raymond Cricket Ground in Mumbai where he eventually helped his team Singhania school defeat Dnyanganga International school.
