It was a 2day match held at Shivaji Park, Bengal Club Pitch in Mumbai between Kamath Memorial Club & SSL Boisar where boisar won the toss & elected to bat first in order to make a big score on the board.

Batting first, SSL Boisar were all out for just 80 runs in the 1st innings. In fact their decision to bat first seemed to have gone wrong as none of the batsman were able to convert their starts. Right-arm pace bowler Prince Badiyani was the chief destroyer with the ball taking 5wkts in 20overs. The batsman were just not able to figure out the pace of Prince who certainly looked promising enough for a bright future ahead as a pace bowler. In reply, Kamath Memorial showed their strong batting prowess as they managed to score 308/8 declare. Right-handed Parth Pathak scored an unbeaten 101* off just 125 balls smashing 14fours in it. CRICKETGRAPH

Cricket has changed so much and it has become so commercial and widely popular that today’s generation are hardly aware about the real school of cricket i.e “the Test Cricket”. It’s the original format of the game where cricket started and it is still the format where a player’s patience, perseverance, technique and talent can be judged unlike T20’s or ODI’s. The essence of toiling hard for hours for 5long days, surviving the long spells, scoring gigantic knocks while bowling long spells. Today’s generation knows how to score a 25 ball 50 & everyone wants to do that and it’s a good thing but no one wants to score a 50 off 100balls. We doubt many even have the technique and patience of scoring a solid 50 off 100balls. So it was quite a welcome change where we got to see talented Tanush where he took some time and played proper cricketing shots to score a well timed 110 coming off 159balls.

Played at Bharat CC Ground, Dilip Vengsarkar Academy won the toss & elected to bat first. Their decision to bat first did not reap rewards as they were all out for 163/10 in 49.5 overs. Kesarsing Thapa scored a solid 60 while Tanay Ghosarikar(4/45) and Tanush Kotian(4/16) took 8wkts together to dismantle the opposition. Trailing 163, Amhi Mulundkar team did a wonderful job with the bat scoring 290/7 declare. Tanush Kotian scored a well crafted 110 off 159 balls where he smashed 10 fours. Tanush played proper cricketing shots and showed a lot of patience while Sarvey Keskar scored 68 followed by S Maxwell’s 30. Atharva Ankolekar bowled really taking 4/99 but he lacked strong support from the other end. Dilip Vengsarkar Academy reached 75/3 before the 2nd day ended and the match was declared drawn.

Amhi Mulundkar team certainly looked stronger while Tanush’s all round perfomance was the ‘highlight of that match’ Cricketgraph congratulates Tanush and the whole team for a great future ahead.

It was a match between two tough teams namely Goregaon Boys sports Club & SKN Sports Club at Aarey Bhaskar Cricket Ground in Mumbai. SKN Sports club won the toss & elected to bat first unaware of what was about to come against them.

GBSC boys made a stunning 216/3 in 20 overs thanks to their right-handed opener Vishal Pendurkar who started dominating and attacking the bowlers from the very beginning. Vishal scored a lightning quick 129 off just 67 balls playing at a strike rate of 192.5 smashing 18fours & 4 sixes to enthrall his team mates and the spectators alike. Ulhas Manjrekar also chipped in with an 18ball 32 helping their team reach a big total. None of the bowlers were spared and they could have bowled a little tighter to restrict them under 180.

Chasing 217 at more than 10runs per over, the pressure rubbed on the SKN boys as they were bundled out for just 93 runs in 13.3 overs. Right arm medium fast bowler Sushant Patil was the wrecker in chief as he came up with amazing bowling figures of 5/24 in 4 overs followed by 2wtks each Akash Yadav & Mukund Sangli.

GBSC won the match by 123runs & Vishal Pendurkar’s 129 was the highlight of the match and so was Sushant’s 5wtks where both of them shared the ‘man of the match’ award. Cricketgraph congratulates GBSC boys & especially these two boys & wishes all of them luck for their upcoming matches.

It was the only match played on Day 9 between Thane Marathas & Mumbai Police Cityriders & as and when the tournament is reaching its twilight, it’s getting more and more intense. Played at the police Gymkhana ground, Mumbai Police Cityriders won the toss & elected to bat first.

However, Mumbai Police boys were not aware of the trouble they were going to face by the excellent bowling of Thane Marathas & especially their pace bowler Imtiyar Ahmed who also plays Ranji representing U.P. Mumbai Police Cityriders managed to score 112/8 in 20 overs & the bowler who gave some really tough time to the batsman was Thane’s pace bowler Imtiyaz Ahmed who came up with great bowling figures of 5/15 in 3 overs. The top 2 & the last 3 wicktes of Mumbai Police went in the name of Imtiyar as the Mumbai batsman were not able to score freely because of his tight length and pace. The rest of the bowlers also bowled well but could have bowled a little tighter to restrict Mumbai to below 100 runs.

As we mentioned, Imtiyar lacked strong support from the other end & had they restricted them to something around 100, the match could have been in their favor. Eventually, Thane Marathas lost the game chasing as they managed to score 105/7 in 12 overs losing the match by just 8runs. More than the good bowling by Mumbai Police, it was the lack of co-ordination among the thane batsman as there were not 1, not 2 but as many as 5 run outs which turned the game in Mumbai’s favor.

Mumbai Police Cityriders win the match by 7runs while Imtiyar Ahmed’s superb bowling efforts made him earn the ‘man of the match’ award. The tournament is certainly getting intense & it will be great to see which teams end up reaching the finals & lift the trophy.
