Kimati Sports, one of the leading manufacturers of leather cricket balls in India, in collaboration, with Cricketgraph, launched Corporate Bowler Award this February to recognize the bowling talent in the corporate sphere. The award is bestowed on the best bowler of the week, based on the performance in the corporate cricket leagues. The winner is awarded with attractive prizes which include a certificate of appreciation and a BCCI approved Kimati leather cricket ball.
Held at the Sydenham Cricket Ground in Mumbai, it was the all important finals between two promising teams namely Morgan Stanley & Cleartrip. On a outfield which supported the bowlers more, Cleartrip elected to bowl first in order to restrict Morgan Stanley to a low total.
Batting first, Morgan Stanley boys did a decent job of posting 143/5 in 20 overs.
Chasing 144 at 7.5 runs per over in the finals of the tournament is always a tricky situation & Cleartrip did succumb to the pressure of chasing as they were bundled out for just 94 in 15overs. The man of the finals was surely Morgan Stanley’s right arm spinner Mazhar Haji as he scalped 5/28 in 4 overs to help his team win the match by 49runs.
Mazhar also picked up a hatrcik for his spin bowling which bamboozled cleartrip batsmen.

Held at the St. Stephens ground in Delhi, it was the crucial semi-finals between Air India & Ram Pal Cricket Academy where in Ram Pal Academy won the toss & elected to field first in order to restrict the opposition to a low total.
Batting first, Air India made 224/10 in 39.3 overs while they could have crossed the 250 run mark had they batted a little more effectively down the order. Coming at no.3, it was Hiten Dalal who was the highest scorer with a 52ball 51 which included 9 fours while Himanshu & Rajat chipped in with 30 & 24 respectively. Puneet Mehra was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/26 followed by 2wkts each for Akash, Akshdeep & Vishal Chaudhary.
Chasing 225, Ram Pal academy defeated Air India in a nail biting chase where in they won the match by 2wkts. Opener Arise Alam & middle order batsman Prashant Gupta were the highest scorers as they scored solid 86(86) & 65(90) respectively while Akshdeep also chipped in with a 31ball 34.

Held at the MB Union ground in Mumbai, it was the all important finals between CEX & WNS where in CEX won the toss & elected to bat first to put the opposition under pressure by posting a big total on the board.

Batting first, however was a bad day for them in the office as they were all out for just 107/9 in 20 overs. Right-arm off spinner Mandar Garude was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/5 in his 2 overs followed by 3wkts for Sandeep Mahajan in his 4overs. Captain Nikhil was the highest scorer with 44 coming at no.3 but the rest of the batsman could not convert their starts to make a big total on the board.

Chasing 108 at just above 5runs per over is always a easy task in T20’s & WNS just did the same thing while chasing as they won the match by 6wkts in 15 overs. All-rounder Mandar Garude was the highest scorer smashing a quickfire 47* off just 37balls which included 6 fours and 1 six to finish of the chase in style.



WNS C.C won the finals by 6wkts and 5 overs to spare while all-rounder Mandar Garude was declared ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant perfomance. Vivaan is young, he is talented and he has the ability to naturally inswing the ball at a commendable pace. Vivaan Radia is a fast bowling all-rounder who can also chip in with the bat at the lower middle order. Well all this ingredients does sum up to make him a promising cricketer & he finally got a chance to prove when he played the semi-finals representing Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana against the Kalyan/Bhiwandi stadium.
Held at the Azad Maidan ground in Mumbai, Kalyan/Bhiwandi stadium won the toss & elected to bat first in order to make a big score on the board. However, it was a bad day in the office for Kalyan-Bhiwandi boys as they were skittled out for just 83/10 in 45.5 overs. Talented all-rounder Jaycool Girase was the highest scorer with a solid & fighting 34 while Aditya Santra took 3/14. The boy who impressed one and all was Vivaan who got to play his 1st match of the tournament & showcased his bowling skills scalping 3/14 in the 1st innings with his right arm pace. Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in reply made 139/10 in 61.5 overs where in Rajsingh Desmukh was the highest scorer with 52 while Kunjan Bhadgujar took 4/26.
In the 2nd Innings, Kalyan-Bhiwandi declared at 143/7 in 32overs where in Vivaan was again the pick of the bowlers taking 3/29. Kalyan/Bhiwandi gave a strong comeback to almost restrict Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana to 44/8 in 27 overs before the end of the games play & Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana won on 1st innings. It was a tough fight by both the teams with some promising performances & especially Vivaan who played his 1st match of the tournament.

Vijay Dahiya Cricket Academy won the toss & elected to ball first, decision favored them in 1 st 10 overs as Ranjeet Mali & Satender Thakran bowled nice spell of fast bowling & took important top 4 batsmen wickets. After that we have saw tourney’s highest partnership of 163 in between skipper Prashant Bhandari & Yogesh Nagar, both played scintillating innings. Prashant scored 87 in 63 balls & Yogesh scored 85 in 71 balls that proved a match winning innings from both of them..

Held at the MB Union ground in Mumbai, it was the all important finals between Earth Matrix & Capegemini of the plate ‘A’ division finals of the Dreamz T20 Tournament. Earth Matrix won the toss & elected to bat first with an aim of making a decent total on the board to put the opposition under pressure.
Their decision to bat first was quite spot on as they scored 169/9 in 20 overs. Right-handed opener Akshay Powale scored a brilliant half century at the top of the order which created a positive momentum. Akshay scored 53 off 38balls which included 7fours & 2sixes while the rest of the batsman gave starts but could not convert it into half centuries. It was a decent bowling perfomance where Rajesh, Tejas & Manoj took 2wkts each.

Chasing 170 at more than 8runs per over, it was a brilliant bowling perfomance from the Earth Matrix Boys as they bundled out Capegemini for 72/10 in 16.1 overs. Left arm spinner Sarvesh bowled one of the stunning spells of the tournament of 4overs, 2maidens and taking 4wkts while giving away just 6runs followed by 2wkts each for Rasik & Sunil.
Earth Matrix won the all important finals of the tournament while Opener Akshay was declared not only ‘man of the match’ but also ‘man of the series’ for scoring 165 runs in the tournament(4matches) which included 2 fifties, 6catches & 1 run out. Vijay Dahiya Cricket Academy won by 75 runs & hrough to Quarter Finals against Telefunkan, after winning the toss. RSCC opted to field first, decision worked very well for RSCC as Vijay Cricket Dahiya Academy lost top 4 batsman on 54 runs only.
Partnership between Kuldeep Hooda & Rohan Rathi of 99 runs proved match winning as team cruised to 263.
In bowling department for RSCC, IPL Star Pavan Negi took 3 important breakthroughs for 28 run, with him Sunil Dalal took 3 for 37 as well. In reply RSCC got good solid start from Yuzvendra Chahal Abhishek Jain as they both stiched 58 runs partnership stand.
Chahal got out on 40 in 33 balls & Abhishek got out on 21 balls. Post Pavan Negi & Surender Dahiya took charge to build innings as they managed to score freely, they stitched partnership of 61 runs but after both batsmen got out, whole side fell like nine pins. Gurdeep Singh Sodhi 4 for 25, Kuldeep Hooda 3 for 35, Manish Sehrawat 2 for 48 took important scalps for Vijay Dahiya Cricket Academy.

Held at the Sachivalay Ground in Mumbai, ICICI securities & Deutsche Bank Group clashed for the all important finals. Deutsche Bank XI won the toss & elected to bowl first with an aim of restricting ICICI bowlers to a low total.
Their decision to bowl first was quite spot on as they restricted ICICI to just 117/9 in 20overs. The batsman were not able to convert their starts or else they could have reached a total of 140+. Opener Javeed scored a solid 31 off 37balls while Amar was the 2nd highest scorer with a 32ball 28. All-rounder Anil Jhulka took 4/28 & continued his good form throughout the series both with the ball as well as with the bat.
Chasing 118 was a mere cakewalk for the Deutsche Bank players as they chased down the score in just 14.2 overs & won the match by 6wkts. Openers F.D Silva & V Wagh scored a quickfire 28 & 31 to create a good start while V Angne(21* off 20) & A Sharma(23 off 13) chipped in with quick 20’s to finish the chase.
Deutsche Bank XI won the all important finals by 6wkts and 5.4 overs to spare while Spinner Anil Jhulka’s 4wkts made him earn ‘man of the match’. Anil Jhulka was also declared ‘man of the tournament’ for his consistent perfomance throughout the series.

It was the all important finals of the U/14 Singhania tournament held at the Raymond’s Cricket Ground in Mumbai. Sri Maa Vidyalaya won the toss & elected to bat first in order to make a big score and put Singhania boys under pressure.

However, Singhania boys have proved throughout the tournament how strong they are with the bat and the ball as they bundled out Sri Maa Vidyalaya school to just 88/10 in 23overs. Right-arm off spinner Jay Dhatrak once again showed his mettle with the ball as he came up with envious bowling figures of 4/19 in his 6overs followed by 3wkts for left-arm spinner Nirek Gavand & 1 wkt for Aryan Dalal.

Chasing 89 had become a mere formality for the Singhania boys as they chased down the score in just 15 overs with the loss of just 1wkt. Opener Jay Jain continued his brilliant form till the finals as he remained unbeaten on 56* to help his team cross the victory line in style.

Singhania School won the finals by 9wkts and Jay Dhatrak & Jay Jain were declared ‘man of the match’. Also both the boys have been in a tremendous form throughout the series. While Jay Jain has scored over 430 runs in 7 matches which includes 4 50’s & a hundred with 4 not-outs at an astounding average of 143.33, Spinner Jay Dhatrak has scalped 19wkts while also scoring 239 runs with the bat. Madhav Mantri Tournamant has been quite a success as it has witnessed some terrific performances from talented cricketers. One such match was between Ravi Shastri’s XI & Sachin Tendulkar’s XI at the Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Mumbai. Ravi Shastri XI won the toss & elected to bat first.
Batting first, Shastri’s XI could not capitalize on their opportunity of batting first as they were all out for 203/10 in 51.1 overs out of which Piyush & Vaidik were the highest scorers with 39 & 37 respectively. Left-arm spinner Asif Shaikh & Parikhsit Valsangkar were the pick of the bowlers scalping 4/42 & 4/73 respectively. In reply, Tendulkar’s XI made 217/10 where in Siddarth Akre scored a solid looking 122 off 144balls smashing 15fours & 4 sixes in it. Right-handed Siddarth looked quite composed and solid at the crease while the rest of the batsman were not able to score runs freely. Left-arm spinner Shubham Pandey bowled a mesmerizing spell of 6/91 which played a huge role in restricting them to 217/10. In fact Shubham also took a hat-trick which proved to be quite denting for Tendulkar’s XI.
In 2nd innings, Shastri’s XI were again all out for 201/10 in 49.1 overs where Vedant Murkar was the highest scorer with a breezy 85. Asif Shaikh on the other hand took a fifer (5/57) taking his tally of wkts to 9 in the match. Parikhsit was also equally effective as he also again took 4wkts. However, Tendulkar’s XI fought back and chased down the lead and won the match by 7wkts scoring 203/3 in 40.4 overs with Kushal & Deepak scoring half centuries while talented wicket-keeper Mehboob shaikh remained unbeaten on 31*.
Tendulkar’s XI won the match & highlight of the match was certainly Asif & Parikhshit taking 17wkts together to Siddarth Akre’s ton while Shubham’s fantastic spell of 6/91 ending in a losing cause.
