There are players and then there are all-rounders, the importance and the position which a all-rounder holds in the side is completely different than a proper batsman or a full-time bowler. They are like the oxygen cylinder while climbing the Himalayan mountains which is very important to have. While South Africa had Jacques Kallis, Australia had Symonds & Waugh, Pakistan had Akram, Afridi and Razzaq, New Zealand had Chris cairns…but after Kapil dev, we hardly had any name to say like these countries had. So when you see some young boys in India who are really doing a good job both with the bat as well as with the ball, the hopes start to get alive & such talents should be rightly nurtured and promoted.

As the name goes, he is young, he still 14years old and he is a pathan…Not Yusuf not Irfan but surely one rising pathan in the making. Arman Pathan is a right handed batsman who can also bowl effective right arm fast becoming a vital cog in the team. Moreover, he comes to bat at a time when his team really needs him to fire and most of the times Arman has not let his team mates down while he also chips in with the ball whenever required.  In fact, if his stats are anything to go by, he appears to be a promising all-rounder in the Mumbai Cricketing circles. When he bats, he has the quality of a controlled aggression and his recent perfomance in the MCA U/14 Inter Summer Vacation Tournament was quite a proof of it. One of his hundreds he scored in the tournament was nothing short of temperament and patience.

Studying in 8th standard, Arman was earlier in Anjuman Allana English High school (CST) while he is now changing his school to Al-barkat Mohamad Malik English High School, Kurla. His father Ismail Mohamad Hussain Pathan is a head clerk in a reputed school while his mother is a doting housewife. Arman has also trained under various coaches right from Manish & Rumde Sir from United CC, Kiran Ashar, Imran Shaik & Sayyad Alamdar sir from Sunder CC to Iqbal thakur & Zarar Khan sir from Anjuman Islam. He is thankful towards all his coaches for his cricketing journey so far but he is by far the closest and most thankful towards AR Kamat, Ajit Rodricks, Surendra Mane, Akhilesh Yadav & Ravi Kulkarni sir from Dilip Vengsarkar Academy.

From what we at Cricketgraph can see, Arman’s journey has been humble & fruitful so far and he certainly looks poised enough to climb the ranks in cricket. We certainly wish him all the luck for a great future in cricket ahead.

Slow left arm spinner Aditya Jadhav impressed one and all with his effective bowling taking 4/17 in his 11.1 overs which included 6maidens. That was certainly a promising spell which troubled the batsman to the hilt. Aditya also got good support from Sajjad Shaikh who took 2/13. Opener Nisar Shaikh & Nutan Goel were the only batsman who crossed their score in 20’s or else all the batsman struggled to make a mark.

Kimati & BDM Man of The Match presented to Akshdeep Nath (RPCA)
By Shri. J.P Agarwal (Ex. Member of Parliament) & Shri. Tarwinder Khanna(Organizing Secretary).

He is all but 14, he is a left-hander and mostly loves to bat at the top of the order. 14year old Jay Jain is just making the right noises at such a small age because of his effective & consistent batting at the top of the order which has helped his team win numerous matches. Left-handed Jay Jain loves to bat aggressively but at the same time he hardly indulges in any reckless shots which leads to throwing away of wickets. The best attribute about Jay’s batting is that he mixes composure with aggression which has helped him score a lot of runs at the local level while has also made people notice of his batting abilities at the same time.

Coming from a humble middle-class background, his father Sanjay Jain is a businessman while his mother Pallavi Jain dedicates her time in raising Jay & handling the house. Jay Jain studies in 9th standard in Singhania School where in he has respresented his school numerous times on various occasions where he has taken his school to some commendable wins.

Even looking at his latest perfomance in the  Laskaria Little Champs Tournament which was held in May 2017, he is standing right there with the likes of Suryansh Shedge and Vedprakash Jaiswal when consistency and form is to be judged & gauged. With 430 runs in 7matches which includes 4 not outs at an average of 143, Jay has certainly displayed a lot of promise at such a young age. In fact, we remember one of his hundreds in the tournament had come off just 58balls which speaks a lot about his talent with the bat.

Overall too, Jay has been improving consistently as he has continuously notched up 50’s and 100’s whenever his team has required. In fact, in this year itself Jay has amassed over 2000 runs at an average of 53 which speaks a lot about his conviction towards cricket.

Jay who has had a bright journey so far in cricket looks promising to make it big as and when he grows up & keeps working hard over his fitness.  He can surely be a successful cricketer in future if he maintains the same level of dedication & passion towards cricket. Jay credits his parents who have supported him a lot in his cricketing journey even after his failures while he also thanks his coaches for helping him on improving his technique and game. We at Cricketgraph certainly wish him all the best for a thrilling future in cricket ahead.
