Played at the Skyline Cricket Ground at Gurgaon in Haryana, it was a match between two strong teams namely Avenue CC & Rudra CC where in Avenue Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, it was not the best day in the office for them as they managed to score only 134/10 in 20 overs. Opener Nitin scored a valiant 40 off just 25balls (4fours, 3sixes) while none of the batsman apart from Pankay(28 off 30) were able to make much of a difference.  Ravi Khatri bowled a really nice spell taking 3/32 in his 4 overs while Varun Prabhakar & Gaurav Bansal (2/9) took 2wkts each.

Chasing 135 in a 20 over game is chaseable most of the times and Rudra CC did that in style chasing down 134 in just 15.5 overs with the loss of 6wkts. Opener Rajeev Sinha scored a sublime half century (50 off 36balls) which helped them win the match by 4wkts & 4.1 overs to spare.

Rudra CC won the match & Opener Rajeev Sinha was declared ‘man of the match’ for his effortless half century.

Played at the Skyline Cricket Ground at Gurgaon in Haryana, Lion Warriors took on smashers in an important encounter where in Smashers won the toss & elected to bat first as the Skyline wicket is really good for batting.

Batting first, Smashers did a really good job of batting first as they managed to score 177/8 in 20 overs. A score of 160+ is always competitive and defendable in a T20 game.  Openers Kapil Nimesh (23) & Chavi Arora (29) gave a positive start with their quick 20’s while it was Harpreet Chopra who topscored with a very solid looking 53 off just 38balls consisting of 7fours and good running between the wickets too. Inder Yadav though expensive was the pick of the bowlers with 3/37 in his 4 overs while Nitin Yadav took 2/25 in his 4overs.

Chasing 174, it was a one man effort and a one man show by opener Anuj Sharma who remained not out with his fantastic 48ball 73* (10fours, 1six) while the rest of the batsman were not able to cross more than 15 runs in their individual scores which restricted them to 143/10 all out in 17.1 overs. Manmohan Acharya bowled a tight spell picking up 3/20 in his 3.1 overs.

Played on 30th July at the Skyline Cricket Ground in Delhi, it was a tight encounter between two exciting teams namely Centurion and WCC where in centurion won the toss & elected to bat first.

Batting first, Centurion made a very respectable score of 163/8 in 20 overs which is always defendable. Openers Naveen Chand & Aakash Singhal’s perfect blend of solid batting and aggression was the major reason they crossed the 150 run mark. Naveen scored run a ball 41(3fours, 1six) while Aakash scored a fluent 57 (4fours. 3sixes) off just 41balls. The rest of the batsman struggled or they could have easily crossed the 200 run mark. Priyank with 3/31 was the pick of the bowlers while Rahul & Yadavendra chipped in with 2wkts each.

Chasing 164 at more than 8runs per over, WCC succumbed to the pressure of chasing as they were all out for 144/11  in 19.4 overs. Thiyagarajan with 2/23 was the pick of the bowlers while Naveen & Naveen chand both picked up 2 wkts each. Centurion won the match 17runs & Naveen Chand with 41 & 2wkts was declared ‘man of the match’

It was a match between two strong teams namely Ekta Cricket Club & RDX at the Skyline Cricket Ground in Gurgaon. The wicket was good to bat on & Ekta Cricket Club elected to bat first after winning the toss in order to make a big total.

However, their decision to bat first proved to be a little costly as they were all out for just 64/10 in 17.2 overs. The bowlers did an excellent job as they did not allow a single batsman to fire with prince being the top scorer with just 19. Vinay Yadav was the pick of the bowlers bowling a really tight spell of 4/19 in 3.2 overs while Kunwar (3wkts) and Manish (2wkts) taking 5wkts in between them.

Chasing a meagre 65 proved to be a cakewalk for RDX as aggressive opener Bharat Bhushan smacked an entertaining 56* off mere 17balls making it one of the fastest 50’s of the tournament. At a strike rate of 329, Bharat Bhushan smashed 4fours and 6sixes to finish the game in just 5.4 overs.

RDX won the match in style by 8wkts while Vinay Yadav was declared ‘man of the match’ for his fiery batting.

It was a match between two promising teams namely Empire Cricket Club & Titans at the Skyline Cricket Ground at Gurgaon on 30.07.17. Empire CC won the toss & elected to bat first as the wicket looked good to bat on.

Batting first, Empire CC made a decent score of 164/7 in 20 overs which is a defendable total in a T20 match. Opener Jitesh Tripathy was the highlight of the Empire CC innings top scoring with a 46 ball 68 which included 8fours & 4 sixes while the rest of the batsman chipped in with 10’s and 20’s. From the bowling side, it was Vaibhav Yadav who was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/25 in his 4 overs. Vaibhav’s spell was not only economical but he kept on taking crucial wickets at the right time.

Chasing 165 at just over 8runs per over, Opener Shukhwinder Singh scored a solid yet attacking 59 off 48balls (7fours, 3sixes) while Sonu Banjara at no.4 chipped in with a quick 40(32b).  Jasvinder chipped in with 25 while Dharmendra remained 28* off just 12balls helping his side win the match by 5wkts and 3balls to spare.

Titans won the match by 5wkts & Vaibhav Yadav was declared ‘man of the match’ for his tight bowling spell.

It was a match between two experienced teams namely Ajmal Khan Cricket Center & Jhanjar XI NIZ at the Rajokri Cricket Ground in Delhi. AKCC who won the toss elected to bowl first since the pitch looked good to bowl first under rainy conditions.

Batting first, Jhanjar XI were all out for 238/10 which is a very good score to defend though they could have scored more had they batted till the end. All-rounder Rishi Pal who is known for his attacking batting scored a fluent and solid looking 71 off 82balls which comprised of 4fours & 5sixes while Laksya Dalal stole the show with the bat as he scored a brutal 82 off mere 44balls which included 7sixes to light up the ground. All-rounder Mayank Rawat who has been in good form with the bat took 4wkts with the ball this time making him pick of the bowlers for AKCC while Prashant Bhatti taking 2/27.

Chasing 239, the equally strong batting line of AKCC could not chase down the score successfully as they fell short of 16runs managing to score only 223. Nikhil Gautam scored a brisk 78 off 49balls (7sixes) while Ayush Badoni scored a 49ball 64(5sixes) but the rest of the batsman were not able to fire. All-rounder Rishi Pal took 2/14 with his medium pace while Gaurav Gaud also chipped in with 2wkts.

Jhanjar XI won the match by 15runs and all-rounder Rishi Pal was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant contribution both with the bat as well as with the ball.

Played at the Rajokri Cricket Ground on 27.07.017, it was a clash between two promising teams namely Young Friends CC & Jhanjar XI where in Jhanjhar XI won the toss & elected to bat first as the wicket was good to bat on.

Batting first, it was a really good perfomance by the Jhanjar boys as they scored a very good total of 221/10 in 30.4 overs. Had they batted till the end, they could have easily crossed the 300run mark. Akhil was the highest scorer with a 24ball 49 while Lakshya dalal chipped in with a 26ball 33. Lakshya Kumar was the pick of the bowlers with 3/43 while Risabh & Sikander chipped in with 2wkts each.

In reply, Young Friends CC were all out for 98 while chasing in just 29overs. All-rounder Aman Sehrawat who recently came in the news for his aggressive batting impressed one and all with his tight bowling as he came up with excellent bowling figures of 5/36 in 8 overs. Lakshya also chipped in with 2wkts. Overall, it was a one side perfomance from Jhanhar XI boys as they won the match by 123 runs while Aman was declared ‘man of the match’ for his promising spell of bowling.

It was a neck to neck encounter between Empire CC & Team United 11 of the Skyline Summer League 2017 where in Empire Cricket Club won the toss & elected to bat first.

Batting first where in the match was reduced to 19overs per side, Empire CC made 202/3 in 19 overs which is a very good score to defend in a T20 game. Aggressive batsman Rajesh Gulia smashed a 37ball 73 which was completely entertaining to watch. Rajesh did not spare any bowler & smashed boundaries in every corner of the ground which included 5fours & 6big heaves (sixes) clearing the ropes. Manoj also scored a solid half century remaining unbeaten on 50* off just 31balls which included 4fours & 3sixes. Upender was the pick of the bowler taking 1/21 followed by a wkt for Ajay Yadav though he went for 27 in his 2overs.

In reply, Team United gave a very tough fight and it was a neck to neck match which remained exciting till the end. Eventually Team United fell short of just 6runs scoring 197/8 in 19 overs. Bharat Narula smashed a 20 ball 49 which included 6 sixes while all-rounder Upender smashed a quick fire 23ball 42(5fours, 1six).  Raju was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/21 followed by 2/43 by Avinash.

Empire CC won the match by 6runs & the highlight of the match was certainly the aggressive batting by Rajesh & Manoj wherein Manoj was also declared ‘man of the match’ for his solid unbeaten half-century.

It was the all important semi-finals yesterday between Ajmal Khan Cricket coaching center and Noida warriors at the Rajokri Cricket ground in Delhi. Noida wonders won the toss & elected to bat first as the wicket at Rajokri is good to bat on.

Batting first, Noida wonders did a excellent job with the bat as they scored a very competitive score of 240/9 in 40 overs which is exactly 6runs per over. From Noida, it was this talented batsman Puru Gaud who top scored with a fantastic 122 coming off just 91 balls which included 11 fours and 7sixes while Utkarsh chipped in with a quick 35.  Left-arm spinner Mohit Badeshra was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/30 in his 8 overs followed by 2wkts for left arm quickie Prashant Bhatti.

Chasing 241 in 40 overs is not the easiest of tasks but in-form Mayank Rawat was again the man of the moment as he stole the show with his electrifying batting once again smashing a quick hundred. Just fresh from a triple hundred few days ago, Mayank again scored a 70ball 126 which 11fours and 11 sixes to steer his team AKCC to a win in just 29.5 overs. Nikhil Gautam also scored a solid 65 off 53balls. Ajmal Khan cricket academy won the semi-finals by 4wkts and 10.1 overs to spare while Mayank Rawat was declared ‘man of the match’

U/19 India’ left arm spinner Harsh Tyagi’s 4/50 was also noteworthy though it went for a losing cause while Mayank looks all set to return to the national side with his brilliant form.

Held at Gurgaon, It was the all important semi-finals between two strong teams namely Lion Warriors & Reefit Gym Warriors where in Reefit warriors won the toss & elected to bat first as the wicket was quite decent to bat on.

Batting first, Lion warriors did a decent job with the bat scoring 135/8 in 20 overs though they could have tried scoring above 150. Hitesh played a solid knock scoring 59 off just 50balls (6fours, 2sixes) while Rahul chipping in with 28 off 27balls. Manish was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/39 followed by a wicket each for Rakesh & Parveen. Chasing 136 at just under 7runs per over and that too in a semi-finals is always chaseable & Reefit warriors chased down the score in style in mere 9.4 overs.

What’s more they won the match without the loss of any wickets where in Deepak smashed a brutal 74* off just 31balls smashing 9fours & 6sixes while Inder Badshahpur smacked an entertaining 59* off just 27balls smashing 7fours & 4sixes. Both the openers completely destroyed the opposition with their fearless batting. Reefit warriors won the match by 10.2overs and 10wkts and the highlight of the match were these openers  Deepak & Inder who completely stole the show.
