Played on 19th August 2017, it was a clash between two talented teams namely Titans and Kings XI where in Titans won the toss and elected to bat first as the wicket at the Skyline Cricket Ground is always good to bat on.
Batting first, even though it was a shaky start with a few quick wickets at the top but it was Ashish Anjna at no.4 who top scored and also ressurected the innings. Ashish scored 75 off just 49balls at a SR of 149.1 which included 5fours and 6 sixes to take the game away from the opposition. It was his solid 75 which helped Titans post a respectable score of 166/9 in 20 overs. From the bowling side, Rakesh Rathee bowled really well scalping 4/19 in his 4 overs.
Chasing 167 at more than 8 r.p.o, Kings XI succumbed to the pressure of chasing as well as good bowling of the Titan bowlers. Everything was working in Ashish’s favor as he was also the leading bowler taking 3/19 in 4 overs followed by 3/33 by Vaibhav Yadav. Played on 20th August at the Skyline Cricket Ground in Gurgaon, Haryana, it was a match between two promising teams Street Ninjas & Smashers where in Street Ninjas won the toss & elected to bat first in order to make a big total on the board.
Batting first, Street Ninjas made a decent score of 157/7 in 20 overs where in they could have easily scored 180+ considering the good start given by their openers Kushagr Sharma & Pramod Kumar. Kushagr Sharma scored a belligerent 57 off mere 28balls (10fours, 1 six) while Pramod also gave a good start with 19ball 32. The batsman below them were not able to capitalize on the start given by the openers. From the bowling side Keshav Dudeja was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/17 in his 3overs followed by 2wkts for Gaurav Kumar.
Chasing 158 in 20 overs, Smashers chased down the score successfully in 19.2 overs. Even though the top order failed, it was Harpreet Chopra at no.4 who scored a match winning 53 off 44balls (7fours) to steer his team towards victory. Harpeet also got decent support from Chavi Arora who scored a 23ball 25. It was the all important semi-finals between two strong teams namely Reefit Gym Warriors & Lion Warriors at the Skyline Cricket ground at Gurgaon in Haryana. RGW won the toss & elected to bat first as the skyline wicket has always been decent to bat on.
Batting first, RGW were not able to create much of an impact which they were looking for as they managed to score only 135/8 in 20 overs. Even though their opener Hitesh gave a sparkling start with his 50ball 59, the rest of the batsman failed to convert their starts. Mukul Yadav bowled 6.1 overs and was pick of the bowlers with bowling figures of 3/39.
Chasing 136 for Lion Warriors was just a formality as their in-form opener Inder Yadav and aggressive batsman Deepak made a complete mayhem of the opposition with their barbaric batting. Both the openers remained unbeaten where in Deepak scored a 74* off mere 31balls which included 9fours and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 238 while in form Indersingh remained unbeaten on 59*(27balls) which included 7 fours & 4sixes at a strike rate of above 200. Lion Warriors qualify for the finals and win the match by 10wkts and 10.2 overs to spare and all-rounder Inder was declared ‘man of the match’ for his 59* and 1wkt.

Held at the Cricket Adda Sports Ground in Gurgaon, Passion for Cricket clashed with SSCC where in SSCC won the toss and elected to bat first in order to put the opposition under pressure by posting a big total on the board.
Batting first, SSCC scored 166/9 in 20 overs though they could have crossed the 180 run mark considering the good start which they had from Ajay Bhandari who scored a 45ball 58 at the top of the order. Bhism Singh with 3/35 was the pick of the bowlers followed by 2/20 by Arjun Mishra.

Batting first, it wasn’t the best of the starts with the top 3 batsman falling out cheaply but it was Saikat at no.4 & Praveen at no.5 who chipped in with quick 30’s to steer their team out of trouble. Saikat scored a 25ball 33 while Praveen chipped in with a 26ball 33. From the bowling side, Chetan was the pick of the bowlers as he took 4/26 in his 4 overs followed by 3/22 by Sitesh.
In reply, DRS did a good job with the ball as they restricted Game Swingers to 146/5 in 20 overs falling just 3runs short of a victory. Top-order batsman Dixit scored a fighting 53ball 52*(4fours, 2sixes) but lacked support from the other end apart from Deepan’s 28* off 11balls who fought hard in the end overs to help his team win. All-rounder Saikat contributed with the ball too as he picked up 3/19 in 4 overs with one maiden. It was a nail biting and a close match between both the teams fought hard while Saikat was adjudged ‘man of the match’. T20 matches are always an exciting format to watch and one such match was played at Gurgaon in Haryana at the Skyline Cricket Ground between Veterans Cricket Club & Warriors Cricket Club where in VCC won the toss & elected to bat first.
Batting first, VCC made a decent total of 167/7 in 20 overs which is always a defendable score. Even though the top 4 batsman got out early it was their middle order which resurrected the innings as Ronak scored a 51* off just 35balls (3fours, sixes) at no.5 while he also got good support from Bharat who scored a quick 35 off 23balls. The bowlers did a good job of bowling in the right areas while also taking wickets at regular intervals.
In reply, WCC did a great job with the bat as they successfully chased down the score in style in just 14.4 overs. Openers Vishal and Gaurav gave a perfect start where in Gaurav remained unbeaten till the end scoring a strokefilled 51* off 32balls (8fours at a SR of 159.46). Gaurav also created a good partnership with Jai Lal who scored a 33ball 47 at no.3 while Satish at no.4 remained not out on 23*. Held at the New Era C.C (Azad Maidan) ground in Mumbai. Two promising teams namely Lord North Brook & MV Sports Club clashed against each other for a exciting encounter where in North Brook boys won the toss & elected to bat first.
However, their decision to bat first did not turned out to be beneficial as the wicket looked good for bowling. Lord North Brook boys were all out for just 123/10 in 47.1 overs with Manoj Sahani being the highest scorer with a fighting 29(45b). The destroyer in chief with the ball was certainly their left arm spinner Vijendra Yadav as he bamboozled the batsman with his spin bowling taking 6/29 in 14.1 overs which also included 6 maidens.
In reply, MV Sports club declared their innings at 128/8 where in Rohan Gawde at no.4 top scored with a 73ball 34. Nitin Ghorpade took 3/20 while slow left arm bowler Satish Naidu also chipped in with 2/23 in 7 overs.

Held at the Azad Maidan ground in Mumbai, two experienced and strong teams namely Fort Vijay CC and Payyade SC clashed with each other where in Payyade won the toss & elected to bowl first in order to restrict the strong batting line up of Fort Vijay to a low total. Their decision to bowl first was quite spot on as Fort Vijay managed to score only 148/10 in 49.1 overs. Openers Divyansh (29 off 55) and Gandhar(43 off 90) gave a solid start but the rest of the batsman below them could not capitalize. Left-arm seamer Royston Dias impressed one and all with his terrific display of pace bowling coming up with envious bowling figures of 6/33 which included 5maidens in his tight spell of 13.1 overs. Rohan Raje was also impressive as he took 4/13 in 13 overs.
In reply, Payyade SC scored 137/9 in 26 overs before the end of the game’s play. Opener Praful Waghela top scored in the match with a fiery 34ball 54 which consisted impressive strokeplay. Experienced left-arm spinner Farhan Kazi was back to business as he did what he does best as he was the pick of the bowlers with bowling figures of 5/35 in 8 overs. It was a close match where Fort Vijay fell short of just 1wkt from a win. The match was drawn but it was Royston & Farhan’s bowling which was the highlight perfomance of the match. However, their decision to bat first completely backfired as they were bundled out for just 63 runs in 13.4 overs. It was a poor batting perfomance where not a single batsman was individually able to cross 20 runs. From the bowling side, the destroyer in chief was their right-arm fast bowler Preet who came up with superb bowling figures of 5/11 in 4 overs. He bowled in the right areas and took wickets at regular intervals making the batsman trouble. Preet also got good support from Pradeep & Anubhav who took 2wkts each.
In reply, GSR Boys chased down the score successfully in just 7.2 overs for the loss of just 2wkts. Chandu Sir & Preet remained unbeaten on 19*(22b) & 17*(9) respectively. GSR won the match by 8wkts and 12.4 overs to spare & Preet was declared ‘man of the match’.
