Hrishikesh hardly played any rash shots as he showed a lot of temperament in his 149ball stay at the crease which included 3fours and a six. The rest of the batsman also did a good job as everyone chipped in with 20’s and 30’s. The bowlers could have done a better job as 4 bowlers from Star CC took a wicket each.
Star CC in reply made 153/7 in 38 overs before the end of the game’s play where the match was declared drawn. Slow left arm spinner Pranav Kamble bowled really well as he scalped 4/47 in 16overs. We all are aware about Ganguly and Nehra’s careers which were the perfect example of comebacks. Right arm medium pacer Udayan Shukla who went through 2 ligament tears and was out for almost a year finally made a comeback in kanga and looks impressive. Played at the Shivaji Park in Dadar, it was a match between Jolly Cricketers and Young Comrade CC where in Jolly Cricketers won the toss and elected to bat first since the rains are over and the wicket may have tilted towards the batsman.

Played at the LIC Ground, Cross Maidan in Mumbai, it was a match between Young Mohmendan CC and Amar CC where in Young Mohmedan CC won the toss and elected to bat first considering that the wicket must have improved since the rains are over.

Slow left arm spinner Shubham Pandey was really impressive as he was the pick of the bowlers taking 5/33 in 7.4 overs. Aggressive opener Sarfaraz Khan who is known for his batting histrionics shocked the bowlers with a brutal 76 off mere 29balls (6fours and 7sixes). Sarfaraz was hitting the ball as if he was doing some batting practice as he literally toyed with the bowlers to give them a hard time. When we asked Naushad Khan(his team mate as well as his father) on what made him to suddenly counter attack the bowlers, Naushad khan said ‘ we wanted to win the match outright and for that we had to give atleast 20overs to our bowlers in the 2nd innings to restrict the Amar CC batsman again, hence in less time we had to score more and so we requested Sarfaraz to open and start hitting, luckily things worked out and he attacked the bowlers scoring 76 in no time, plus winning the match outright would give us 2points extra” In reply, Amar CC were again all out for just 83runs and right arm leg spinner Sandesh Koli came up with the best bowling figures in the match as he ran through the entire batting line up of Amar CC taking 7/25 in 7.1 overs. In match 1, Navi Mumbai lions won the toss and elected to bat first as the pitch had something for the batsman to score runs. Batting first, Navi Mumbai lions scored 140/7 in 20overs. Navi Mumbai lost quick wickets at the top and even 140 was also looking tough at one point but right handed Vijay Bhanushali at no.5 played the savior’s role as he scored a match winning 54 off just 38balls to take his team out of the trouble. What’s more, he also stitched a crucial 64 run partnership with wicket keeper batsman Atul Ghai who also batted really well to score 41* off just 34balls. From the bowling side Paresh bowled really well as he took 4/21 in 4 overs. In reply, Harbour tigers managed to score only 113/9 in 20 overs, thanks to some great bowling by the Navi Mumbai bowlers. Sumedh Bondal was simply terrific as he just gave 9runs in 4 overs while taking 3wkts in his 4overs while the rest of the bowlers also supported really well. Navi Mumbai won the match by 27runs and Sumedh for his wonderful bowling was adjudged ‘man of the match’ while Vijay’s half century was also equally commendable.

In the match 2 between Ninja Turtles and Dugout 11, Dugout 11 won the toss and elected to bowl first. Ninja Turtles bowlers did an excellent job of restricting the batsman while also taking wickets at the right time. They won the match by 16runs and Alim Khan was adjudged ‘man of the match’
Cricketgraph congratulates both the winning teams while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.

Have we ever seen a cub threatning a group of lions? Sounds a bit funny, isnt it? But Kanga League almost got to see a similar case when a 16yr old boy attacked like an adult predator against a team consisting of players bigger than him in every aspects! Played at the Goregaon Sports Club, it was a match between two promising young teams namely Sunrise SC and Goregaon SC where in Goregaon SC won the toss and elected to bowl first as the wicket was slightly tilted towards the bowlers.
Their decision to bowl first was completely spot on as they restricted Sunrise SC to just 77runs in 26.1 overs. The most surprising and sad part of their innings was not a single batsman apart from their no.11 Hitesh Sharma managed to score in two digits. It was only Hitesh who scored a fighting 27 against the tight bowling attack of Goregaon bowlers. 16yr old prodigy Daksh Agarwal caught everyone’s attention as he came up with match winning bowling figures of 7/20 against a team which had players almost between to 23 to 30yrs of age. It’s always tough to physically and mentally cope up against players who are bigger than you in terms of age and fitness and Daksh troubling the opposition with ease was simply commendable as he was the youngest player in that match.
In reply, Goregaon SC declared their innings at 143/8 in 25.4 overs where in opener Rohit Rudra chipped in with an excellent half century scoring 53 off just 42balls. Experienced off-spinner Aslam Shaikh showed his bowling prowess as he took 6/34 in 5.4 overs to trouble the batsman. Sunrise SC were again 58/9 in their 2nd innings before the end of the game’s play. Daksh’s attack with the ball continued as he took another 4wkts for just 14runs in 14overs (7maidens) taking his tally of bowling figures to a stunning 11/35 in 27overs (10maidens) in the match. Goregaon SC won the match comfortably but it was this young bowler Daksh’s perfomance which raised the eyebrows and became the talking point of the match.

Played at the Khar Gymkhana on November 5, it was a match between Khar Gymkhana and Kandivali CA where in Khar Gymkhana won the toss and elected to bowl first as they have a good bowling attack to trouble the opposition.
Their decision to bowl first was quite spot on as they restricted Kandivali CA to just 149/all out in 38.4 overs. Hardly any batsman managed to create any impact as most of them gave a start and lost their wickets. The bowler who inflicted maximum damage was this 19year old prodigy who is touching good speeds for his age and troubled the batsman with excellent line and length in that match. Right arm fast bowler Siddarth Kotak came up with match winning bowling figures of 7/67 in 15 overs and ran through the entire batting line up of Kandivali CA.
In reply, Khar Gymkhana showed how strong they are as they also batted really well declaring their innings on 163/3 where in in-form opener Priyank Shetty top scored with an attacking 62 while Sahil Kukreja remained unbeaten with a solid half century. If the 1st innings damage was not enough, Siddarth continued to haunt the Kandivali boys with his bowling as he took another 5wkts in the 2nd innings restricting Kandivali to 8/38 in the 2nd innings in 13 overs before the end of the game’s play. Khar Gymkhana comfortably won the match on 1st innings and young Siddarth’s perfomance who has taken 16wkts so far in 3matches was definitely the talking point in the match.
