14yr old Prodigy Aryan needs no introduction in the local cricketing circuit of Mumbai as he has consistently taken wickets across all formats in numerous tournaments throughout the year. Aryan who bowls left arm spin is growing leaps and bounds daily and is certainly looking a promising prospect for a bright future in cricket.
Played on Sunday at the All Saints Ground between All Saints High school and Singhania High School, All saints won the toss and elected to bat first expecting the pitch to have some support for the batsman. However, little did they knew on what was about to come as they were all out for just 48runs in 14 overs. The player who was solely responsible for this damage was Singhania’s left arm spinner Aryan Dalal who came up with one of the most exceptional bowling figures you can come across. Aryan took 7/13 in 6 overs which skittled out the opposition. What’s more, the onslaught of Aryan was not limited to just 7wkts, he also took a stunning hat-trick in that spell of 6 overs.
In reply, Singhania School chased down the score in mere 7 overs with the loss of just 1wicket. Singhania boys showed their mettle as a team as they won the match in style by 9wkts while Aryan Dalal was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his terrific bowling spell. Seems like Aryan who took 3wkts in the semis and 4wkts in the finals of the Worli Cup vs Rizvi just a few weeks ago is continuing his purple patch with the ball. Cricketgraph congratulates Aryan while wishes luck to all the players for a great cricketing season ahead.

Played at the Vengsarkar Academy, Oval Maidan, it was a match between two promising teams namely Sanjivani Cricket Academy and Chembur Gymkhana where in Sanjivani CA won the toss and elected to bat first considering that they have a good batting attack to make a big total and put the opposition under pressure.

Their decision to bat first was spot on as their opener Manan Bhatt made his bat do the talking. Manan who already proved his mettle with the bat in the DSO under 14 tournament with consistent performances made sure that the cricketing community does not forget him as this time he went on to score a blistering 128* off just 56balls. Manan took on the bowlers with pure dominance as he smashed 24boundaries while he also got an equally talented partner in Aditya Balivada who smashed an equally entertaining and impressive century scoring 123 off just 63balls which included 18fours and 2sixes. Both this batsman also stitched an epic 250+ runs partnership and the aggression at which they were batting was quite commendable for their age. It was their brutal batting which took their team score to a mammoth 286/1.
Chasing 287 in 20 overs is always out of reach for most of the teams and Chembur Gymkhana also felt the pressure of chasing such a big score. Eventually they managed to score 135/6 where in Devang top scored with 49. Sanjivani Cricket Academy won the match by 151runs and these two talented kids definately stole the show with their electrifying batting. Atharva with 3/15 was the pick of the bowlers while Manan was declared ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.

Played at the All Saints Ground in Thane, two promising teams namely Thane A(Adv) and CMM challengers took on each other where in Thane A won the toss and elected to field first as the wicket had something for the bowlers and looked good for chasing.
Batting first, CMM partially did a good job only because of their opener Ninad Mazumdar. The whole batting line up crumbled and were not able to convert their scores in two digits apart from their lone warrior Ninad Mazumdar who scored one of the finest tons of the tournament scoring 104 off mere 62deliveries(14fours & 2sixes) at a strike rate of 167. Ninad was the only batsman who took on the bowlers with confidence, kept the scorecard ticking and helped his team post a respectable total of 149/7 in 20 overs. From the bowling side, Roshan Shetty took 2/28 while the rest of the bowlers chipped in with a wicket each.
Chasing 150 is always a mixed bag in a T20 but Thane A eventually chased down the score successfully in mere 19.4 overs with the loss of 6wkts. Even though the top order struggled, Suvankur Das at no.5 scored a match winning 59* off 39balls (2fours, 3sixes) to steer his team towards the victory line. Suvankur also got good support from Dinesh Bhoir who scored 28 off just 21balls. Thane A won the match by 4wkts and Suvankur was adjudged ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team while also appreciates Ninad’s valiant ton which was a treat to watch.

Played at the KCA, Cross Maidan, Purshottam Shield Tournament has certainly opened on a good note with some excellent performances. This particular match was played between Maskati Cricket Club and Karnatak SA where in Maskati CC won the toss and elected to bat first considering that the wicket has improved a lot for batting.
Batting first, Maskati did a fairly decent job as they were all out for 222/10 in 69.3 overs. Even though the top order failed to give a flying start, Ronak Shinde at no.6 scored an elegant as well as very crucial 95 off 123balls(8fours,3sixes). Right handed Ronak resurrected the innings and helped Maskati cross atleast 200, had he not scored this, the team would have been all out for under 150. Medium pacer Atharva Sankhe was the pick of the bowlers with 3/58 while Akbar Khan and Yash Dhicholkar took 2wkts each.
Karnatak who on the other hand have a very strong batting line up and a score of 222 was a mere formality for them to chase as their in-form Eknath kerkar smashed a stroke filled aggressive 103* off just 66deliveries which almost completed half the job. Eknath who scored a stunning 169 a few weeks ago in Police Shield continued his form with the bat to score a yet another match winning knock. Shivam Dubey who has also been amongst the runs since the past few months also remained unbeaten on 79* off 65balls as he and Eknath stitched a 181run stand to take their team to a comfortable win. Cricketgraph congratulates both the batsman while wishes luck to all the players for a great cricketing season ahead. Also we wish Eknath who has scored around 15hundreds across all formats in the last 2-3 years to get a place in the Mumbai Ranji team too!

Openers Pragnesh and Varun chipped in with 20’s but it was the young Srujan Athawale who scored a solid 134 off just 133 deliveries (13fours, 1six) which solidified the Parel SC innings. Srujan played some great cricketing shots while also did good running between the wickets. However, the show was not over yet as their Skipper Gaurav Chavan who came in at no.7 went on to score one of the blistering tons the tournament will get to see. Right handed Gaurav smashed 116 off mere 66deliveries at a strike rate of 175+ playing the skipper’s role to perfection while also showing his class and experience with the bat. In India Cricket is religion, Cricket is an emotion, cricket is a way of life and most of the people breathe cricket and Nirnay More is one such example whose passion for cricket will make you feel proud of him. Yes he is the same left arm orthodox spinner who took an impressive 7/14 vs BRD CC last week and now has again continued his form with the ball with a brilliant hat-trick and a 5wkt haul.
The match he played yesterday was at Young Zorastrian, azad maidan where in Sangam SC won the toss & elected to bat first. Little did they knew about the zone in which Nirnay is as he came up another breath taking bowling spell of 5/9 in just 4.5 overs which reduced Sangam SC to just 84/all out in 25.2 overs. What’s more, the Nirnay cleaned up the lower order in style with a brilliant hat trick which did the maximum damage. Apart from More, Saurabh tandel also bowled well as he bagged 4wkts.
Young Muslim SC in reply surpassed Sangam SC’s score and declared their innings on 124/9 in 26.2 overs where in Daulat Meher top scored with 46 while Spinner Harsh Purabiya took 4wkts for Sangam SC. Sangam SC scored 128/6 in 19.4 overs in the 2nd innings before the end of the game’s play where Young Muslim SC won the match on 1st innings. Yes he is the same bowler who took a stunning 8/14 vs Young Stars Marine Drive a few months ago and ran through their batting line up. He is the same bowler who topped the Cricketgraph best bowler’s September rankings. Rohit Talreja is definitely one of the best assets of Superstar SC as he again struck gold with a terrific 7wkt haul with his excellent line and length.
Played at the New Era Azad Maidan between MV Sports Club and Superstar CC, MV sports club won the toss and elected to bowl first. Their decision seemed to be accurate as they restricted Superstar SC boys to just 130/all out in 47 overs with Sameer Patil top scoring with 36. From the bowling side, it was their spinner Vijendra Yadav who was the pick of the bowlers with 4/27 in 19 overs with a staggering 10 maidens.
However, Superstar SC gave a terrific comeback with the ball as they restricted MV boys under their 1st innings total as they made them all out for 126 in 28.2 overs. The bowler who was responsible for this damage was their right arm fast bowler Rohit Talreja as he came up with exceptional bowling figures of 7/42 in 12.2 overs. Rohit has proved that once he gets going with the ball and gets in that zone, he literally cleans up the opposite team with big 5wkt hauls. With this Rohit also took his tally of wickets to 20 in kanga which is amongst the best in his division. Superstar SC won a low scoring thriller of a match and all credit must go to their paceman Rohit as he bowled a match winning spell. Cricketgraph congratulates Superstar SC and Rohit while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.

Batting first, Navi Mumbai SC did a fairly decent job as they scored 210/8 in 40.1 overs. Even though the top order failed, it was Arun Ghogare at the lower middle order who rescued his team back into the game with a very crucial 78 coming off just 65delivieries(12fours). Right arm pacer Ajit Rodriguez who has consistently bowled well throughout the tournament once again continued his good form as he was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/53 in 10.1 overs. With this Ajit also took his tally of wickets to 19 in Kanga.
However, Navi Mumbai boys bowled equally well as they restricted Parsee Cyclists to 116/7 in 36 overs before the end of the game’s play. Off spinner Amit Wakdar bowled a terrific spell of 6/27 in 14 overs with 5 maidens to trouble the batsman with his excellent spin bowling. Had Amit got a few more overs in hand, he was definitely looking good to all out the parsee Cyclists. Amit has also been consistent this season as he also took his tally of wickets to 19. The match was drawn but it was definitely a great bowling display from Ajit and Amit for their respective teams. Cricketgraph congratulates both the players while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.
