For a in-form and a strong batting line up of DY Patil, even a score of 287 was not enough to defend for Parsee Gymkhana boys as they chased down the score successfully with the loss of just 3wkts in 61.3 overs. Right handed opener Shashank Singh anchored the innings till the end as he scored an unbeaten 129* off 175balls (10fours, 5sixes), Shashank did not only play some elegant shots but also displayed some power hitting with 5sixes. 14yr old Prodigy Aryan needs no introduction in the local cricketing circuit of Mumbai as he has consistently taken wickets across all formats in numerous tournaments throughout the year. Played on Sunday at the All Saints Ground between All Saints High school and Singhania High School, All saints won the toss and elected to bat first expecting the pitch to have some support for the batsman. However, little did they knew on what was about to come as they were all out for just 48runs in 14 overs. The player who was solely responsible for this damage was Singhania’s left arm spinner Aryan Dalal who came up with one of the most exceptional bowling figures you can come across. Aryan took 7/13 in 6 overs which skittled out the opposition. What’s more, the onslaught of Aryan was not limited to just 7wkts, he also took a stunning hat-trick in that spell of 6 overs.

Singhania boys showed their mettle as a team as they won the match in style by 9wkts while Aryan Dalal was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his terrific bowling spell. Seems like Aryan who took 3wkts in the semis and 4wkts in the finals of the Worli Cup vs Rizvi just a few weeks ago is continuing his purple patch with the ball. Played at the Vengsarkar Academy, Oval Maidan, it was a match between two promising teams namely Sanjivani Cricket Academy and Chembur Gymkhana where in Sanjivani CA won the toss and elected to bat first considering that they have a good batting attack to make a big total and put the opposition under pressure.

Their decision to bat first was spot on as their opener Manan Bhatt made his bat do the talking. Manan took on the bowlers with pure dominance as he smashed 24boundaries while he also got an equally talented partner in Aditya Balivada who smashed an equally entertaining and impressive century scoring 123 off just 63balls which included 18fours and 2sixes. Both this batsman also stitched an epic 250+ runs partnership and the aggression at which they were batting was quite commendable for their age. It was their brutal batting which took their team score to a mammoth 286/1.
Chasing 287 in 20 overs is always out of reach for most of the teams and Chembur Gymkhana also felt the pressure of chasing such a big score. Eventually they managed to score 135/6 where in Devang top scored with 49. Sanjivani Cricket Academy won the match by 151runs and these two talented kids definately stole the show with their electrifying batting. Batting first, CMM partially did a good job only because of their opener Ninad Mazumdar. From the bowling side, Roshan Shetty took 2/28 while the rest of the bowlers chipped in with a wicket each.

This particular match was played between Maskati Cricket Club and Karnatak SA where in Maskati CC won the toss and elected to bat first considering that the wicket has improved a lot for batting.
Batting first, Maskati did a fairly decent job as they were all out for 222/10 in 69.3 overs. Even though the top order failed to give a flying start, Ronak Shinde at no.6 scored an elegant as well as very crucial 95 off 123balls(8fours,3sixes). Right handed Ronak resurrected the innings and helped Maskati cross atleast 200, had he not scored this, the team would have been all out for under 150. Medium pacer Atharva Sankhe was the pick of the bowlers with 3/58 while Akbar Khan and Yash Dhicholkar took 2wkts each.
Karnatak who on the other hand have a very strong batting line up and a score of 222 was a mere formality for them to chase as their in-form Eknath kerkar smashed a stroke filled aggressive 103* off just 66deliveries which almost completed half the job. Eknath who scored a stunning 169 a few weeks ago in Police Shield continued his form with the bat to score a yet another match winning knock. Shivam Dubey who has also been amongst the runs since the past few months also remained unbeaten on 79* off 65balls as he and Eknath stitched a 181run stand to take their team to a comfortable win.
