Played at the United Cricketers, Cross Maidan, it was a crucial clash between Mazgaon CC and Dadar Union where in Mazgaon CC won the toss and elected to bat first with an aim of making a big total and put the opposition under pressure.
Dadar Union batting first managed to score 114/5 in 25 overs which is a decent score but not the biggest of scores to defend. Opener Hrishikesh Chavan top scored the innings with an unbeaten 60* off 77balls playing from the start till the end. Chavan who smashed 4fours toiled hard running between the wickets anchoring the innings till the end. Dadar Union bowlers did a good job with 4bowlers chipping in with a wicket each.
Chasing 115, openers Siddhant Mohite and Siddant Bandekar took the onus on their shoulders to finish the chase for their team. Both the openers remained not out helping their team win the match by 10wkts. While Bandekar remained unbeaten scoring 51* off 65balls (5fours), Siddhant Mohite fell just 2runs short as he remained unbeaten on 48*in 66balls (6fours). Played at the DY Patil University Ground, it was a big match between two really talented teams namely Western Railway (DY 20) & BPCA (DY 20) where in Western Railway skipper Saurav won the toss and elected to bowl first since they have a quality bowling attack to restrict the opposition to a low total.
Their decision to bowl first was spot on as they allowed BPCL to only score a meagre 120/7 in 20 overs which is always a chaseable score in a T20 match. Opener Bhavin Thakkar with 49 and experienced Abhishek Nayar at the middle order top scored with 30runs while as many as 8batsman struggled to convert their scores in two digits. From Western Railway, Medium Pacer Chintan Gaja with 3/16 in 4overs was the pick of the bowlers while the rest of the bowlers chipped in with a wicket each making it a collectively tight bowling perfomance.
Chasing just 121 in a T20 match and when you a T20 specialist and RCB’s player Asad Pathan opening the innings, there are very less chances of losing the match. Right-handed Asad literally took on the bowlers and it was an absolute carnage as he went on to score an electrifying 106* off just 54balls. Asad smashed 11fours and 8sixes to lighten up the ground in every corner and stamping his presence on how destructive he can be. Played at the National CC, Cross Maidan, it was the crucial and deciding semi-finals between two promising teams namely Ruparel College and Potdar XI where in Potdar won the toss and elected to field first with an aim of restricting Ruparel to a low total and put them under pressure.
Ruparel who were made to bat first did felt some early jitters when they were struggling at one point on 14/2 but left handed Sachin Yadav who came at no.4 brought his team back into the game with a match winning attacking knock of 87* coming of mere 50deliveries. Sachin smashed 14boundaries in almost every corner of the ground and kept the bowler on toes. The rest of the batsman struggled to convert their scores as Ruparel managed to score 136/8 with Heramb Parab remaining unbeaten on 11* off 5 with Sachin at the end of their innings. From the bowling side, Jash was the pick of the bowlers coming up with bowling figures of 3/10 in 4 overs.
Defending a not so big total of 137 in 20 overs, Ruparel bowled really well as they bundled out Potdar boys to just 105runs all out with Rajneesh, Heramb and Rushikesh scalping 2wkts each while the rest of the bowlers also chipping in with a wicket making it a very strong and a collective team perfomance. Ruparel college won the semi-finals by 31runs and it was surely Sachin’s crucial knock of 87* and tight bowling by the bowlers which did the job. The finals will be surely to watch out for.

Played at the SRT (2) Ground in Kandivali, it was the all important clash between New Hindu Cricket Club and Mohan Cricket Club where in New Hindu CC won the toss and elected to bat first with an aim of making a big total.
Batting first, New Hindu CC scored a very decent total of 248/9 in 45 overs which is a very defendable score if not a big one. While at one point New Hindu CC were struggling at 43/4, it was Aditya Shemandkar at no.5 and Omkar Jadhav at no/3 who stitched a 182run stand amongst themselves to resurrect the innings and bring his team back into the game. Aditya scored a match winning 100 off mere 94balls which included 10fours and a six while Omkar also smashed a crucial 87 giving really good support to Aditya. Both the boys smashed some really good cricketing shots while also did good running between the wickets to take their team to 43/4 to 243. Medium pacer Prarik Kambli was the pick of the bowlers with 3/45 while Rohit and Nirdosh also chipped in with 2wkts each.


Defending a total of 249, Mohan CC did gave a tough fight but New Hindu bowlers got the better of Mohan CC boys as they were bundled out for 201runs. Even Mohan CC were struggling at one point on 65/6 but Gaurav Kadam(46) & Mandar Lotlikar(61) at the middle order renewed the hopes from nowhere. Medium Pacer Sachin Sanghvi bowled a match winning spell of 4/34 bowling in the right areas while giving timely breakthroughs to become New Hindu’s pick of the bowler. All-rounder Aditya also chipped in with 2wkts making it a perfect all-round display. New Hindu CC won the match by 47runs and it was surely Aditya & Omkar’s 182run stand coupled with Sachin’s 4wkts which played a big role in their win.

Played at the Western Railway Cricket Ground at Cross Maidan, it was the all important finale between Salgaonkar Sports Club Thane & Active Sports Women’s Cricket Academy where in both the teams have fought their way hard to reach this stage. Active Sports WCA won the toss and elected to bat first considering their strong batting line and especially their openers.

Their decision to bat first was completely spot on as they amassed 261runs for the loss of 8wkts in just 30 overs which is anyday a great score to defend. If major credit has to be given for such a big total, it has to be their consistent opener Charu Todankar who scored an entertaining 132 off mere 80deliveries which included 12fours and 7sixes to enthrall his team mates and the spectators alike. Delivering in high pressure finals is always difficult and it tests the character of a player’s skills and Charu delivered successfully in such intense finals game taking the game away from the opposition with her attacking batting. Charu who has been scoring runs throughout the tournament finally converted her starts into a big score where she played at a strike rate of 165.00. Apart from her Samiksha Tare(36) and Riddhi Singh(36) gave crucial contributions with their quick 30’s. Aditi Surve was fantastic with the ball being the pick of the bowlers taking 5/33 in 6overs. Aditi was really impressive bowling in the right areas while also giving crucial breakthroughs.

Defending a total of 262, Active Sports WCA successfully restricted SSCT to just 149runs where in opener Sanika Chalke top scored with a fighting 67 off 55balls. From Active Sports, Jahnavi Jawale was the pick of the pick of the bowlers taking 4/21 in 6overs(2maidens) while all-rounder Charu also chipped in with 2wkts. Active Sports WCA won the finals by 112runs and Charu Todankar was rightly declared ‘man of the match.
It was a match dominated by Active Sports WCA right from the start and it was surely a great collective team effort throughout the series which helped them lift the trophy. Aditi’s bowling in the finals was also quite commendable though her team lost the match.

Batting first, United Cricketers were all out for 196runs where in almost all the batsman struggled to convert their starts apart from their opener Ishan Mulchandani who scored a solid looking 77 off 122balls. Ishan who only smashed 3fours did a lot of hard work running between the wickets as he kept on surviving at a stage where the batsman from the other end were losing wickets. Rohit Ruke at the middle order also scored a crucial 41 off 75balls. From Apollo CC, off-spinner Shreyas Khemkar with 4/25 in 10.2 overs(3maidens) was the pick of the bowlers. Shreyas bowled at impressive line and length and was bowling in the good areas which helped him bag wickets at regular intervals.
Chasing 197, United Cricketers chased down the score with ease winning the match by 6wkts. Opener Akshay Pancharia gave a good start with 42 while Sairaj Sangle who came at no.4 played a match winning anchoring knock of 77* off 104balls (7fours) to help his team win the match. Sairaj who batted really well also got a steady partner in Pranay Pawar who scored 44* off 92balls stitching a 99run stand with Sairaj. United Cricketers won the match where in all the boys gave a collective team effort to clinch a victory.

Played at the National Cricket Club on Cross Maidan, it was finally the all important one on one finale between two teams who have fought hard throughout the tournament to reach this position. MIG Cricket Club & Academy took on the equally powerful Rizvi School (Bandra west) where in MIG won the toss and right elected to bat first on the back of their strong batting line up.

Opening the innings, proven solid opener Pragnesh Kanpillewar once again gave a thumping start smashing a 65ball 67(5fours, 3sixes) while he also got a stable partner in no.3 batsman Aakash Singh who also scored a very solid looking as well as a crucial knock of 63 off 68balls(9fours). Both the boys also stitched a 96run stand which set the tone for the MIG innings. Apart from them hardly any batsman managed to make much of an impact but the damage was already inflicted by Pragnesh and Akash as the team total was set to a respectable 203/7 in 35overs. Amongst the bowlers, Saad Shaikh was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/38 in 7 overs.

Rizvi while chasing 204 were struggling at one point on 11/3 and 22/4 before Shreyas Mandalik almost turned the tables with his fighting knock of 79 off 93balls(3fours,1six). The middle order supported him well with Mohit Tanwar(23 off 29) and Ayaz Khan (44 off 38balls) batting well around Shreyas to reignite hopes. Rizvi almost gave a brilliant comeback from nowhere but Nihar Agre turned out to be the savior for MIG as he came up with a match winning bowling spell of 5/26 in 7overs. Medium pacer Nihar bowled in the right areas with great line and length which reaped rewards for him as well as his team. Pragnesh also chipped in with 3crucial wickets making it a perfect all-round perfomance. Winning against Rizvi is not easy as it is one of the most powerful and hardly defeated teams at the school level but MIG CC once again showed that everything is possible when you give your best. Rizvi won the finals by 12runs and Nihar agre was declared ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant spell while Pragnesh’s all-round show along with Aakash’s fifty also played a crucial role in the win.

Batting first, Automative CC made a very decent score of 246/6 in 42 overs where in opener Omkar Jadhav played an anchoring knock scoring almost more than half of the team runs. Omkar scored 110 off 123balls keeping the scoreboard ticking which included 12fours at a healthy strike rate of above 90.00. Omkar also got a steady partner at no.4 in Sushant Waje who also scored a very crucial 84 while also stitching a 182 run stand with Omkar taking their team total to a respectable one. From JNPT, Vinay was really impressive with the ball as he took 5 out of the 6wkts which fell with his accurate line & length.

Defending a total of 247runs, Automative CC successfully restricted JNPT to just 127runs on the back of fantastic bowling by Aditya Shemadkar. Right arm off-spinner Aditya Shemadkar came up with match winning bowling figures of 6/21 in 7 overs(2maidens) to bundle out the opposition. Aditya bowled in the right areas with nice discipline which reaped rewards for him as well as his team. Automative CC won the match by 120runs on the back of a great partnership by Omkar and Sushant while Aditya’s 6wkts played a major role too.

Played at the New Hind Sports Club, Dadkar Maidan, it was the all important match between two really promising teams namely Maskati Cricket Club and Sind Sports Club where in Sind SC who have a very solid batting line up elected to bat first after winning the toss to make a big total and put the opposition boys under pressure.
Their decision to bat first was completely spot on Sind SC notched up a mammoth total of 407/9 on the back of flying start by the openers & especially their left-handed opener Akhil Rajput who went on to score a thumping ton. Akhil got a good support from Kushal Shah(45) as both the boys stitched a 90run stand for the 1st wicket while AKhil continued his good start and converted his fifty into an attacking 136 which came off mere 96deliveries. Playing at a strike rate of 142, Akhil smashed every bowlers in every part of the ground in his 17fours and 3sixes. Apart from them, all-rounder Aditya Dhumal(54 off 51b) and Vaibhav Singh(54 off 41b) at the middle order smashed crucial fifties which took their team total to cross the 400run mark. From the bowling side, Off-spinner Shoaib Ansari was the pick of the bowlers with 3/57 in 16.1 overs.

Defending a big total of 402, Maskati fell prey to the quality bowlers of Sind SC especially their experienced all-rounder Aditya Dhumal who once again showed his experience. Aditya came up with match winning bowling figures of 5/21 in 13overs with 6maidens which inflicted maximum damage to the Maskati batting line up. Aditya who bats equally well is a genuine all-rounder and this is not the 1st time he has come up with amazing bowling figures. Sind SC won the match by 252runs and it was definitely Akhil with the bat and Aditya with the ball who did the job.
Also looking at Akhil’s current form where he reached his recent hundred in 77balls which is amongst the fastest in this year’s comrade’s, he can be a very valuable pick in the upcoming Mumbai T20 Premier League.

Shantibhai Seth CC batting first were bundled out for just 117runs as their decision to bat first seemed to be a bit inaccurate on a wicket which was supporting the bowlers more. 7 players failed to convert their scores in two digits while Shantanu Lad at the lower order was the highest scorer with 21. Right arm fast bowler Mulayam Yadav was spot on with the ball coming up with excellent bowling figures of 5/39 in 9 overs. Mulayam bowled in the right areas with nice and length which helped him take a excellent 5wkt haul.

Defending a low total of 118, Shantibhai CC gave a comeback with the ball and covered up for their poor batting bundling out Aiming Masters CC for just 105runs. Vikram Pandey top scored with 38 while Sarvesh Bhatkar and Anand Shinde took 6wkts between themselves taking 3wkts a piece. Medium pacer Anand came up with 3/20 in 9overs while left-arm spinner Sarvesh Bhatkar with 3/18 bowled match winning spells to help their win a thriller of a low scoring match. Sunil Nair also chipped in with 2wkts making it a collectively good team perfomance. It was a low scoring yet intense match where both the teams gave a tough fight while bowlers like Mulayam, Anand and Sarvesh turned out to be impressive.
