In a recently conducted DDC League Match in Delhi, Samarth Seth hammered an emphatic 50 off just 26. His innings consisted of elegant stroke play at a strike rate of almost 200. His efforts helped the team to victory.
Samarth is currently preparing for his England stint with Moddershall & Oulton CC in Durham County.
Asitosh mali ( 111 ) & Shreyas Phatak( 73 ) are Star performers for Paramount cc who enter the finals of the Mumbai junior tournament..
Ashitosh Mali who took a hat trick a day before as a captain of Regent cc against Union cc kalyan in the president cup T20 match showed his batting skill by scoring
111 runs with the help of 11 fours & 3 sixes and his 175 runs partnership with left-handed batsman Shreyas Phatak 73 runs (8×4 1×6) were the highlights of Paramount cc’s narrow victory over Friends cc in the semifinals of Mumbai junior tournament played at sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana.
The match between Oriental CC vs Gaud Union SC produced an enthralling game of cricket as the former edged out by mere 2 runs. Oriental put on 287 onboard in the first innings. Devansh Kaj scored 64 off 58 up the order as Ayush Tripathi scored a half century of his own in the middle order. Omkar chipped in a handy 19-ball 32 to help his team reach a competitive total.
As the runchase began, Guad had a strong opening partnership pf 86 as Aayush Mangalampalli (40 off 57) and Rahul Kanangi (59 off 84) started things off. After their dismissals, 3 wickets fell in succession and soon they had half of their batsmen dismissed for 157 by the 30th over. Skipper Neel Kadam turned things around in a flash. He faced 56 balls and hammered 84 runs and quickly pulled the game on their side. Despite the heroics, Oriental CC held their nerve to secure a narrow victory by just 2 runs.
In the Vedh Cup 2023, PT Academy’s skipper Darsh Doshi slammed an emphatic century off just 74 deliveries. With a strike rate of 136, he smashes 14 boundaries in his brisk innings, helping his team reach a mammoth total of 266 in 30 overs. He received crucial support down the order from Maan Thadani (31 off 22) and Moksh Khanted (63 off 33).
To chase the mammoth total, Aniruddha CA were under enormous pressure. Vansh Mohite played a fighting knock of 52* alongwith Rudra Sitap (40 off 53) but their efforts were in vain as they were bowled out for just 186. After a dominating display with the bat, Moksh Khanted picked up 3 wickets again in the second innings.
Axis Mutual Fund returned to Corporate Cricket with a bang. In the Falcon T20 Cricket League 2023 held at the 40+ Belapur Sports Association Cricket Ground, Navi Mumbai, they beat Atmosphere Aces by 4 Wickets in a thriller.
Winning the Toss, Atmosphere chose to Bat on what looked like a flat pitch. Axis received its first setback when opening bowler Ravi Sahu had to leave the field after his first Over, sustaining a painful blow on his hand trying to stop a fierce drive.
Opening batsman Zeeshan Mirajkar played some exquisite shots to ensure a swift start, with 57 off 41 Balls (9 Fours, 1 Six). Sagar Shivkar (29 n.o. off 29 Balls) held the innings together towards the end.
For Axis, Nikesh Tripathi bowled well to stem the flow of Runs by picking up a couple of crucial Wickets. And a brilliant spell of 4-0-24-3 from Anil Ronanki seized the initiative from Atmosphere.
At 99/4 in 11 Overs, Atmosphere were looking good to post a score in excess of 200. But some excellent death bowling by Skipper Ajish Abdul Rehman (the most economical spell of the Match – 20 Runs in 4 Overs) choked their batsmen during their quest to score quickly, as they ended up scoring 160/7 in their allocated 20 Overs.
With the Required Run Rate climbing up, some lusty hitting by Anil (a couple of hits landed beyond the Railway tracks), with some elegant Shots to go with them, changed the course of the Match. His quickfire 37 came off just 12 Balls (2 Fours & 4 Sixes).
For Atmosphere, Yogesh Ghuge (4-1-21-1) and Mayur Tare (2 Wickets) were the pick of the Bowlers.
But with 73 needed from 54 Balls, it was a brilliant display of skill & planning from Vice-captain Vipul Tripathi. His unbeaten 34 off 21 Balls (1 Four & 2 Sixes) included some clean shots. Useful hits from Anoop Nair and Rajesh Yadav provided the much-needed support.
Anil was awarded the Man-of-the-Match Award for his outstanding all-round performance that also included 3 good Catches.
Overall, a great Team performance was on display from Axis Mutual Fund. They play their next League Match on the 11th.
In the KSEM Winter Cup-2, Palam VIhar CC Best locked horns with Tribes as the former prevailed in a dominant fashion. After batting first, Palam Vihar CC hammered a whopping 231 off 20 overs. This massive total was achieved without losing a wicket as well. Sooraj Bhalla took strike and didn’t turn back since. Bhalla faced 74 balls and smashed an impressive 137* with 7 sixes and 18 boundaries. Alongside him, his opening partner and skipper Gaurav Sareen scored 81* off just 47 deliveries. His innings consisted of 9 fours and 4 sixes. Both had scored at a staggering strike rate of 170+.
With a massive score to chase, the Tribes had their work cut out. Despite the dominating batting display, the Palam Vihar bowlers showed no mercy either, bowling out Tribes for just 91 by the 16th over. Rupin Chopra’s spell of 4/18 in 4 overs derailed the Tribes batting line up as they comfortably won the game by 140 runs. Kailash Jena bowled an impressive spell of 2/3 in just 2 overs.

Presented by Nataraj Pens: In the recent game between GPCC and Kalpavriksha CA of the U-19 MD Memorial Cup, as the GPCC came out to bat, they had put up a score of just 55 runs at the loss of 10 wickets in 14.2 overs. Abhigyan Abhishek Kundu scored the highest 16 runs in 18 balls but his efforts were substantially less. 8 Wickets alone were taken by Moin Khan giving as he coneded just 27 runs. The Kalpavriksha came to bat, they scored 57 runs in 8 overs alone, only at the loss of 1 wicket. It was a subtle interplay of Sameep Misal and Varun Ragji short partnership where each scored 14 and 30 runs respectively.
There were no surprises for the Man of the Match Award as Moin Khan’s 8/27 was the only noteworthy performance of the match.
