Airoli after being made to bat first managed to score 141/8 in 20 overs with Hemant Baheti top scoring with 45 runs. Mulund bowlers managed to keep a tight hold on the batsman as they did not allow Airoli to cross the 150 run mark.
Chasing 142, Team Mulund were in deep trouble with both their frontline openers falling out for ducks with the score card reading 2/4 in 1.2 overs. However, Amol Khedkar brought some change in the game as he anchored the team to a commanding win. Amol smashed 56 ball 88* which had 16 fours at a strike rate of 157.19 as he single handedly pushed his team toward the victory line.
Mulund won the match by 6 wkts and 2.5 overs to spare with Amol being declared ‘man of the match’
Titans after being made to bat first posted a defendable total of 155/7 in 20 overs thanks to a crucial 34 ball 50* by Navin Rupani at no.7 or else they would have been bundled out for a low total against the tight bowling of the JSW bowlers.
JSW Steel despite losing openers early made sure they took care of the chase as Ishaque Shaikh who came at no.9 went on to score a match winning 89 off mere 53 balls smashing 17 fours at a strike rate of 167.93.
It was his blazing half century which helped JSW chase down the score in just 17 overs with 7 wkts in hand. Ishaque was also declared man of the match for his match winning knock.
Already touted as the future of Indian cricket by many, these two boys Yashashvi and Arman have an appetite to score big hundreds. They have already proved it by scoring consistently across major tournaments and now they shine for Mumbai team vs Andhra in a thriller of a match.
Mumbai team were bundled out in 1st innings for 131 runs thanks to a magical spell by Karthik Raman who took 8/58 for Andhra. Andhra team in reply posted 321 runs for 1st innings putting Mumbai into the backfoot as well as putting the boys under pressure.
However, Mumbai team which is not known to give up easily gave a major fightback in their 2nd innings as they notched up a massive total of 462/6 in 108 overs. Yashashvi Jaiswal and Arman Jaffer coming at no 3 and 4 stitched an epic 277 run stand which shattered Andhra’s hopes of winning the match. Jaiswal remained unbeaten scoring a classy 241* off 280 balls which had 28 boundaries while Arman was equally rock solid in his 217 ball stay at the crease where he scored 147 laced with 19 fours and 3 sixes.
Andhra team were 230/6 at the end of the game’s play where the match which at one stage was looking a clean win for Andhra ended in a draw.
Al-Barkat team batting first at Islam Gymkhana Ground made a team total of 233 runs where in the batsman did dominated at one point but eventually they could not post an imposing total. OLPS School in reply were all out for 167/8 where in most of the batsman struggled to make runs. OLPS batters batted slow but there was only one shining point in their opener Harsh Tathare who remained unbeaten from start to end. Harsh scored 104* off 106 balls (8 fours) at a time when the rest of the batsman were struggling to score runs in two digits.
Harsh now has scores of 122 and 87 in Harris Shield, 208, 61 and 104* in Giles Shield & 117* in the ongoing Ghosh Trophy ‘18.
Even though OLPS lost the match, Harsh has been one impressive player coming out from OLPS School.

Here are the winners of the Corporate Cricket Cap leaders for December 2018.
Gandharva Shetye won the “Automotive Purple Cap” in the Corporate Cricket Category after becoming the leading wicket-taker in the Corporate Category for December. Gandharva who plays for FSS recently came into the news for his amazing bowling spell where he stunned everyone by taking 6 wkts in a T20 match. Gandharva came up with stunning bowling figures of 6/10 in 4 overs which reduced Nerolac to mere 127 runs as he single handedly helped his team win in the Dreamz T20 Tournament’18. Apart from his 6 wkt haul too, he has been quite an impressive bowler in the T20 format as he rightly won the Purple Cap for December.
Ajay Singh Janoo with 238 runs won the “Automotive Orange Cap” for being the leading scorer in his category. Ajay truly deserved it as he scored not once but twice quick hundreds in T20 in December. Ajay Singh Janoo who is Team Montage’s regular opener came into the limelight after scoring a swashbuckling 62 ball 133 vs Kotak and a 66 ball 105 vs IDFC in the ongoing Automotive Cricket League. Ajay has now developed a reputation of being a dangerous opener who can change games in a span of few overs. With 238 runs in 3 matches, Ajay went on to win the Purple Cap.
Taking a 6 wkt haul even in a 50 over format is a difficult task. Hence it was quite commendable for Gandharva Shetye to achieve the feat of taking 6 wkts in a T20 match. That spell of him definitely made him popular overnight as he won the most “Automotive Popular Cap” too in the Automotive Corporate Cricket Cap Category for the month of December. Gandharva with 115 votes won with commanding ease as his nearest competitor was Suryakant Pawar with 108 votes.
Sporting Union Club after being made to bat first at Azad Maidan Ground were all out for 121 runs in 45.1 overs. Spinner Vatsal Thakkar was the tormentor in chief taking 4 wkts for mere 4 runs being the pick of the bowlers while medium pacer Kevin Chitania taking 4/37. Both the bowlers bowled tight and gave crucial breakthroughs as opposite team was bundled out for a low total.
Payyade in reply chased it down with ease as they scored 155/4 with Mitra (27*) and Vatsal (33*) remaining unbeaten steering Payyade to a commanding win by 6 wkts winning the match on 1st innings lead.
Raj Desmukh has been in excellent form this season for IES VN Sule and he is certainly stamping his presence all over in every match he is playing. Technically his batting average is 482.00 as he has scored 3 hundreds in his 4 Giles matches and he has remained unbeaten so far in all the matches. Not only has he been scoring runs at will but he is also scoring them quickly with dominance making him a player to watchout for in the coming years.
In his latest match against SVIS at the DPC Matunga Ground, SVIS team batting first were all out for 181 runs. IES VN Sule chased it down in style without losing a single wicket as openers simply thrashed the bowlers. Raj went on to score a fluent 119* off 86 balls which had 12 fours and 4 sixes while Tanay Khandeshi remainined unbeaten on 56* as IES grabbed one more Giles win by 10 wkts.
The all important semi-finals which was played at the NMSA Ground, Turbhe witnessed some impressive performances with New Horizon School opting to bat first posting 285/8 on the board in the allotted 45 overs.
Tanish Shetty opening the innings scored a brilliant hundred taking 99 deliveries to score 113 runs laced with 141 fours and a six. Apart from him Vignesh Narayan (49) and Prateik Sonare (44) chipped in with crucial 40’s as team reached a decent total. Anjuman Islam School in reply were all out for 44 runs thanks to a tearaway bowling spell by Vihang Dighe who seems to be in terrific form with the ball.
Vihang grabbed 6 wkts for 24 runs as New Horizon School qualify for the finals of the tournament under the able mentorship of their coach Ajay Bhagat.
SF Sassanian Club after being made to bat first at Bengal CC Shivaji Park were bundled out for a low total 98 runs thanks to a wonderful bowling spell by Amol Vaidya. The off-spinner took 6 wkts for 15 runs in 7 overs with 3 maidens as he did not allow the batsman to settle down easily.
Chasing a meagre total of 99 runs, Shravan Dhuri opening the innings plonked the bowlers and gave them a beating scoring a quick 71* facing 37 balls. Shrayan was in mood to finish things quickly smashing 12 boundaries as he Bengal CC won the match by 3 wkts in mere 10.5 overs.

1. Jaswinder Singh from Spartans Doctor team won the elite “Automotive Yellow Cap” for the most popular category. The utility all-rounder took a 5wkt haul vs Twacha team in a T20 match wherein he came up with bowling figures of 5/15 in 4 overs in the Shri Barku G Patil T20 League 2018-19. Apart from that too he has been chipping in with wickets and small crucial cameos with the bat which play a very vital role in the T20 format. He won the Yellow cap because he secured the maximum votes / FB likes of around 274 votes.
2. Chintan Seth on the other hand became the winner of the “Automotive Orange Cap” for scoring the maximum runs in professional category. All his runs in December were scored in the ongoing AT20 championshp (Architect T20 tournament). Chintan has an aggregate of 148 runs which included a match winning 78 off 43 balls vs Mott Macdonalds and a 43 ball 70 vs Stup Consultants. Chintan has been quite consistent as well as aggressive with the bat for his team Royal Falcons hence it helped him clinch the Orange Cap.
3. Harshal Karvekar from Royal Falcons Team clinched the “Automotive Purple Cap” with 6 wkts to his name. The all-rounder took 3 wkt hauls twice in the Architect T20 Tournament and has been quite effective with his right arm off-break. Harshal has given some timely breakthroughs for his team and proved to be a partnership breaker too. Apart from taking wickets, he has also been economical with the ball with economy of below 5.5rpo in T20’s which is quite commendable.
All these winners are awarded with mini-IPL type caps, certificates & Automotive vouchers worth Rs.2500/- which can be availed within the wide network of Automotive Maruti service centers.
