Oxford School after opting to bat first scored 322/6 in 45 overs at the Oval Maidan where in Yash Mahadik (64 runs), Aditya Santra (71 runs) and Siddhant More (61) chipped in with fast fifties at the top order. It was their solid batting at the top order which made all the difference in the team total.
Defending 323, Abhinav Vidyamandir were all out for mere 66 runs thanks to a brilliant match-winning bowling spell by Vaishwik Chiplunkar. Vaishvik who has been impressive this season came up with bowling figures of 6/14 in 8.2 overs with 3 maidens not allowing the opposition batsman to settle.
Oxford School won the match by 256 runs while it was a collective team performance led by Vaishwvik which made all the difference.
Kalyan after being put to bat first managed to score only 140/7 in 20 overs which is an average total to defend. Premanand Bhalerao with 2/13 in 4 overs was the pick of the bowlers while the rest of the bowlers also did a good job.
Chasing 141, DY Patil openers gave a flying start with a 83 run stand in the 1st 10 overs while it was Hitesh Pawar coming at no.3 to play the finishers role to perfection. The hard-hitter went on to equal Yuvraj’s record of fastest fifty in T20 Cricket facing only 12 balls while smashing 8 sixes at a strike rate of 450.00! It was just a different atmosphere as Hitesh lit up the ground with his big sixes entertaining one and all.
DY on the back of his blazing half century chased down 141 in mere 11.3 overs winning the match by 7 wkts while Hitesh was declared ‘man of the match’
Sportsmen CC after being put to bat first at the Cross Maidan Ground managed to score 200/10 in 41.4 overs. Suraj Nawale and Parag Jadhav both chipped in with 47 runs each while the rest of the batsman failed to convert their 10’s and 20’s.
Defending a total of 200 runs, Baronet CC were all out for 176 runs despite a solid 60 by their opener Soham Konkane. Prashant Kadam bowled an impressive spell taking 5/45 in 9 overs while Vallabh taking 3/26 in 9 overs. Prashant took wickets at crucial stages as Baronet CC lost their tempo falling short of 24 runs.
Played between Anjuman Islam High School and Rizvi Springfield High School, Anjuman Islam winning the toss opted to bat first getting all out for mere 81 runs in their 1st innings. Apart from Faizan scoring 37, the rest of the batsman were out in single digits with 3 bowlers taking 2 wkts and Ravi Gupta taking 3/22 in 7overs.
Rizvi on the other hand managed to score 249/10 in 67.1 overs with Krish Singh (48) and Aayush Mhatre (59) coming up with crucial knocks. Devraj Rangu who took 7/88 in 22.1 overs with 4 maidens was the pick of the bowlers in what was an heroic bowling effort.
Anjuman Islam were 125/7 in their 2nd innings at the end of the game’s play where Rizvi won the semis on 1st innings lead qualifying for the finals.
Naval Dockyard after electing to bat first did not manage to put a very big total managing 211/8 in 45 overs with Mangesh being the highest scorer smashing a gritty 57 runs. The DTDC bowlers did a decent job with Rajesh and Rakesh both picking up 3 wkts while Yogesh P taking 2 wkts.
Chasing 212, the chase did got trickier as DTDC kept on losing wickets. Opener Vivek Patel was the saving grace as he scored a fighting knock of 52 runs with 7 boundaries. Vivek speaking exclusively with Cricketgraph shared– In 41st over my spike got stuck in the field & almost suffered knee shift which forced me to go inside the tent. Later I came out batting still I was’nt recovered, still had to go to bat n 1st ball I faced was bowled short pitch, I had to go on the back foot n again my same leg got strained. I went inside at a time when 2 quick wickets were fallen down. I went out to bat again with a lot pain for my team n did my best to save the team. I was batting there till 8wickets had already fallen down & den I got hit wicket unluckily! as DTDC were all out for 140 runs.
Played at the Bharat CC Ground (Shivaji Park) between Vijay Chandra Cricket Club and Rizvi Sports Club, Vijay CC electing to bat first suffered a top order collapse with their scoreboard reading 21/4 at one stage before their skipper Prakash Aswani who came at no.5 did the rescue act smashing a match winning 105*. Prakash steered his team from 21/4 to 222/7 in 45 overs as he smashed 15 fours and faced 109 deliveries to bring his team back into the game. He also got good support from Rupesh Borade who scored a supportive 40 at no.6.
Rizvi CC in reply were all out for 109 runs thanks to some really tight bowling by the Vijay CC bowlers where in off-spinner Bharat Major with 3/23 was the pick of the bowlers.
Mumbai after electing to bat first posted a total of 374/10 in 100.4 overs thanks to some brilliant batting by Varun Lavande (104) and Pragnesh Kanpillewar (147).
Varun opening the innings scored 104 off 193 balls laced with 7 fours in what was a solid ton while skipper Pragnesh Kanpillewar who has been in brilliant form scored a fluent 147 off 194 balls which had 20 fours and a six.
Himachal Pradesh in reply were bundled out for 245 runs with Atharva Ankokelar being the pick of the bowlers taking 5/46 in 26 overs while Arjun chipping in with 3 wkts. Mumbai in the 2nd innings were all out for 266 with Pragnesh again scoring 106 off 131 balls making it back to back hundreds in the match taking the lead to 392 runs.
Himachal Pradesh chasing 393 were all out for 232 runs thanks to Praful Devkate’s impressive spell of 5/69 in 25 overs while Arjun Tendulkar taking another 3 wkts for 33runs in 19 overs as Mumbai went on to win by 192 runs.
Played at the KSA, Cross Maidan, it was an important Semi-Finals between two very powerful teams who have performed very well this year namely IES VN Sule and Al-Barkaat. IES after electing to bat first suffered a batting collapse and had it not been their dependable Shubham Shinde who has piled on runs for IES at crucial junctures, the team could have been all out for under 100 runs. Shubham scored 123 off 232 balls at a time when 9 batsman from the team struggled to score in two digits. Adil Sayyed with 3/33 was the pick of the bowlers.
Al-Barkaat in reply were 191/0 thanks to their in-form opener Tushar Singh who scored his 4th successive ton in Giles Shield. Tushar scored 116* off 174 balls(16 fours) while he got able support from his partner Asif Khan who remained unbeaten too on 67*. Both teams mutually called of the match after Al-Barkaat crossed 190 at the post lunch session and AL-Barkaat were adjudged the winners of the semi finals.

Performances from October 2018 till Jan 2019 will be considered for these awards.
The Jury consists of Nepal National Team’s Batting Consultant, Batting Consultant of Afghanistan and also the Head of the Panel Umesh Patwal, Sangeeta Kamat who is the Selector of Sr.Women’s Mumbai Cricket Association & Ajay Kadam who is a former MCA Selector and BCCI Level 1 Coach.

IES Chandrakant Patkar School after electing to bat first at the Dombivali Gymkhana scoring a mammoth 403/3 in 45 overs. Shantanu Punekar and Vedant opening the innings gave a flying start scoring 149 and 86 runs (98 balls) respectively. Shantanu took mere 115 balls laced with 21 fours and a six while Vedant played the anchoring role.

Pratham Nambiar who came at no.3 was in a different zone altogether as he went on to score a strokeful 93 off mere 43 deliveries which had 12 fours and 3 sixes as IES managed a very big total on the board.
Defending 404, Parth Wad bowled a magical spell taking 6 wkts for mere 7 runs in 4 overs as Don Bosco Kalyan was all out for 54 runs. Parth was simply stunning with the ball giving the batsman a hard time as he helped IES Patkar win the match by a massive margin of 349 runs.
