Bluestar CC opting to bat first at SRT Ground in Kandivali managed to scored a total of 225/10 in 41 overs. Left-handed opener Rohit Purabiya smashed a solid ton scoring 102 off 110 balls. Rohit despite lacking support from the other end ensured his team reached a respectable total as he kept the scoreboard ticking with some good boundaries and running between the wickets.
Evergreen CC in reply were bundled out for 173 runs as medium pacer Anuj Chahjed ran through the opposition’s batting line up taking 4 wkts for 38 runs in 9 overs alongwith the experienced Rakesh Naik taking 3 wkts. Youngster Aryan Patni also came good chipping in with 2 wkts as it was a collective bowling effort by the Bluestar Boys.
Bluestar CC won the match by 52 runs and with this lift the prestigious title of the Bombay Junior Shield’19

Chasing 180 in 20 overs Team VCC were cruising to a win after blazing knock of 71(29) from VCC Captain Aashish Kulaye. But the sudden middle order collapse and disciplined bowling and fielding of SR’s ensured a nail biting finish. After 20 over match stood Tied with no clear winner and match was decided in an exciting Super over. VCC emerged winner and sealed the match in super over.
Earlier Rishab Grover 87*(52) helped SR’s score 179 in 20 overs which seemed to be at par score on a slowing wicket.

MIG CC have been on a roll with Skipper Kevin adding numerous trophies to the club’s cabinet. DY Patil opting to bat first on MIG’s home ground managed to post a modest total of 213/10 in 66.5 overs. Big hitter Sairaj Patil top scored the innings with a gritty 58 while the rest of the batsman gave starts. Shreyas Gurav bowled an amazing spell taking 5wkts for 60 runs which proved to be too costly for DY Patil. MIG on the other hand notched up a healthy 261 runs with skipper Kevin delivering from the front smashing 76 runs.
DY Patil in their 2nd innings also failed to capitalize getting all out for just 206 runs with Shreyas running through the opponents with a yet another haul of 5 wkts for 50 runs taking a total of 10/110 in the match.
MIG chased down the score of 161 with superlative ease as Kevin again ensured the chase was taken care of scoring an unbeaten 75* as MIG lifted the trophy defeating the powerful DY Patil in the crucial finals.

Brothers CC opting to bat first at National CC played dominating cricket notching up 294/4 in 45 overs. Mithilesh Yadav coming at no.3 top scored the innings with a solid 65 runs off 92 balls (7 fours, 1 six). Sameeran Chalke and Mithilesh Yadav at the middle order gave the finishing touch stitching an unbeaten 121* run stand for the 5th wicket. Sameeran scored 64* off 56 balls (3 fours and 4 sixes) while the experienced Kishore Waghela played a quickfire knock of 63* in just 36 balls laced with 8 fours and a six. It was the late blitz by both the batters which gave Brothers CC edge over the opposition.
Friends Cricketers in reply were bundled out for 161 runs with Balwant and Shlok coming up with 3 wkts each as Brothers CC clinched a win by 133 runs.
Deutsche Bank after being made to bat first at the Cross Maidan Ground were in deep trouble with their top 4 batsman getting out on 3, 1, 3 , 6. With 4 wkts down under 20 runs, it was Sanket coming at no.5 and changing the script of the game as he went on to score a match saving 100* in mere 53 balls. Batting till the end, Sanket smashed 8 fours and 8 sixes at a strike rate of 189.00 taking his team to a respectable total of 156/8 in 20 overs.
Bassein Catholic Bank in reply failed to keep up with the run rate despite the lower order efforts by Collins (27) and Blaise (45* off 26b) managing to score 140/7 in 20 overs.
Deutsche Bank won the match by 16 runs while Sanket Kankonkar was declared ‘man of the match’
Women’s cricket has been rising with every passing day and it deserves more and more appreciation as well as support as the girls toil equally hard as their male counterparts and come up with impressive performances.
In the match between Sri Ma Vidyalaya Girls (Thane) and CNM School Girls (Vile Parle), CNM School opting to bat first were little aware about the batting collapse they were going to suffer in the hands of Niteel Negi. Niteel with her impressive spin came up with 5 wkts in a spell of just 24 balls while conceding just 7 runs and a maiden. Niteel ran through the batters as she wrecked havoc bundling out CNM School for just 27 runs which was easily chased down by Sri Ma Vidyalaya winning the match by 10 wkts.
AXIS Mutual Fund opting to bat first at Oval Maidan managed to post a fightable total of 159/7 in 20 overs. Shriniwas Mourya at the middle order ensured his team reached a decent total as he scored an unbeaten 71* off 42 balls laced with 7 fours and 4 sixes.
Chasing 160, it was Sony’s reliable opener who is known for his attacking batting once again taking care of the chase. Pratik scored an unbeaten 85* off just 56 balls (12 fours, 2 sixes) at a strike rate of 150.00+ while he was supported well by all-rounder Anil Kushwah who remained not out on 42* off 35 balls as Sony Pictures won the match with superlative ease by 9 wkts and 2.4 overs to spare.

Andheri team opting to bat first at the All Saints Ground, Bhiwandi scored a massive total of 239/3 in 20 overs. Worli in reply managed to score only 173/7 in 20 overs despite a hurricane knock by Kirtiraj Kate who scored a hard fought 24 ball 53 (3fours, 6 sixes). Manthan Panchal’s spell of 3/31 in 4 overs proved costly for the opposition as Andheri Team won the match by 66 runs.
Played between United Friends CC and Dahisar Sports Club at the Sunder CC Cross Maidan, United Friends SC after being made to bat first posted a target of 202/all out in 45 overs. Dishan Rane opening the innings scored an impressive 61 runs of 94 balls (8 fours, 1 six) despite lacking support from the other end.
Defending a total of 202 runs, left arm spinner Rahul Mishra came up with a match winning bowling spell bagging 5 wkts for 36 runs in 8.2 overs. Rahul ran through the opposition’s batting line up while he was supported ably by off-spinner Pratik Singh who took 3/23 in 7 overs as Dahisar Sports Club were all out for 153 runs.
