Walt Disney “A” opting to bat first at Elf Vengsarkar Academy, Mahul notched up a very big total of 207/7 in 20 overs. Opening the innings, Hitesh Kolwankar created the positive momentum hitting an aggressive 89 runs off just 45 balls. Hitesh smashed 14 fours & 3 sixes at a strike rate of 197.78 ensuring his team reached a more than decent total to defend.
Suffering a top order collapse, Edenred were bundled out for 93 runs with Rakesh Dalvi (3/9 in 2 overs) and Vaibhav with 2/14 being the pick of the bowlers. Rakesh not only conceded less runs but took crucial wickets as Walt Disney won the match by a big margin of 114 runs.

Aditya’s match winning 50* off 36 balls in the Architect T20 Championship for Avengers made him popular overnight!
Vimal Hansraj- Winner of the Purple Cap in the Professional Category for the month of February 2019
Vimal who plays for Arch Mavericks Architect team has been a revelation of sorts coming up with a 6 wkt haul in a T20 match. The medium pacer gained overnight attention with a stunning spell of 6/32 in 4 overs vs RIAMS XI which helped his team win with dominance. Taking a 6wkt haul even in a 50 over or a test format is commendable and hence getting it in a T20 format is a altogether different level of feat achieved by Vimal as he bagged the Purple Cap for the month of February 2019.
Rohit Kulkarni- Winner of the Orange Cap in the Professional Category for the month of February 2019.
Rohit Kulkarni who plays for Spartan Doctors in the Shri Barku G Patil T20 League has been one dependable batsman for his team. His knock of 53 ball 78 laceed with 10 fours and 2sixes vs Dahisar was a turning point in the game which had rightly helped Spartans bag a win. Rohit Kulkarni had tough competition from the other contenders for the coveted cap but he eventually takes the cap home for the month of February.

The fifth and sixth position match of Automotive Cricket League was played on Saturday between ICICI Bank and Kathiwada at MIG, Mumbai. Batting first, Kathiwada posted a daunting 190-5 in 20 overs, thanks to Ankit Chopra (43) and Siddharth Kadam (60). After losing opening bat Kamran Ahmed for a duck, his partner Vishal Shah (30) provided stability at the top. ICICI bowlers bowled well in patches however were unable to contain Kathiwada. Jitesh Purabia struck 2-31 in his two overs with Harshad Gharat and Karan Sonavale picking up one each.
In reply, ICICI gave a tough fight scoring 182-7 in 20 overs, losing just by eight runs. Opening batsman Karan Sonavale was the star performer as he smashed a valiant 82 off 51 balls. Sonavale partnered well with Jitesh Purabia (36) giving his team a good chance of winning. However Kathiwada’s disciplined bowling and handling of pressure situation with absolute calmness got them through. Nirav Bheda was the pick of the bowlers for Kathiwada as he scalped 2-27 in his three overs.
Speed Cricket Club opting to bat first scored a healthy total of 251/6 in 45 overs. Dishan Rane was the top scorer batting till the end scoring an impressive 106* off 123 balls. A solid innings laced with 11 fours and a six ensured his team reached a decent total. Dishan was ably supported by all-rounder Bharat Meher who scored a quickfire 54 off 42 balls (7 fours, 2sixes)
Defending a total of 252, it was all-rounder Bharat Meher displaying some amazing left-arm spin followed by a crucial half century which changed the game for Speed CC. Bharat came up with excellent bowling figures of 5/13 in 8.2 overs taking wickets at regular intervals which restricted Rising Star team to just 144/10 in 45 overs.
Young cricketers from Rising Star ensured a tough fight but it was Speed CC winning the match dominantly by 107 runs.

Opening batsmen of ICICI Bank Bhavik Patel & Skipper Jitesh Purbia put on a match winning 155 run stand for the first wicket against IDBI in the premier T20 Inter Bank Shield Tournament’19. Bhavik Patel was the star of the match as he scored a brilliant 80 runs in just 52 balls with 11 fours & his effective spell of left arm spin (4 overs 2 maiden 4 runs 1 wicket) was just mesmerizing. Bhavik was well supported by skipper Jitesh Purbia (66runs in 52 balls) and off spinner Amit Rathore who claimed 4 wickets giving away just 12 runs in 4 overs.
It was a shock defeat for a formidable IDBI side as in the first league match they had beaten Bank of India which is a strong team by 5 wickets chasing 168 runs.
Now the next league matches will be interesting to watch.

A five-wicket win chasing 148 might seem a comfortable victory but IndiaFirst made hard work of their success at the Asahi Glass Cricket Ground (Navi Mumbai), grinding out their first triumph of the Friendship Trophy 19 with less than one over to spare. Their youngest warrior Ajish Rehman put their batting on track, but it was left to Ramana and their wicket keeper Babli Sharma to complete the task.
After losing the toss and, Warriors C.C suffered a top-order slump as they lost three wickets for 44 runs. They were flying at 80 for 4 in the 8th over. Warriors C.C, led by Rohit’s 44, were dismissed for 147 as the IndiaFirst bowlers shared the wickets around.
IndiaFirst’s top-order batsmen gave them a immense start. Ajish Rehman scored 35 off 19 balls, but none of his team-mates could cross 30. Sanket Teli was the best of IndiaFirst’s bowlers, taking 2 for 15 from his four overs. Ajish Rehman was the next best, claiming 1 for 16.
“We won the toss and choose to field. It was a great Pitch to Bat on. We had a very good start and the ball was swinging a lot,so I planned to bowl with good Pace to curb the runs. I also took a wicket and I gave 16 runs in 4 overs. Sanket also gave 15 runs. It was a great wicket to bat on, but we were professional in getting the job done. We also have a good long batting line-up. While chasing we got good start,then it become easy for us to chase. It was a wonderful match for me.” – Ajish said to Cricketgraph.

Into the all important finale at the Air India Sports Club, Kalina, two of the powerhouse teams at school level-SVIS Borivali which is known to churn out IPL and Indian Cricket Stars and Rizvi which is considered the strongest team in the school level took on each other with SVIS skipper Ayush opting to bat first with an aim of posting a big total on the board.
SVIS who have a formidable batting line up suffered a collapse with the whole team getting all out for 148 runs in 38.5 overs. Off-spinner Tejas Chalke’s spell of 4/23 in 4.5 overs proved to be too costly for the opposite team.
SVIS Team who are not known to give up easily ensured they gave a tough fight fighting it out till the end. Rizvi were on the brink of losing the finals had it not been Owaish Shaikh’s 39*at no.8 along with 24 crucial runs by Ravi Gupta at no.10. Medium pacers Adwait and Varad gave SVIS breakthroughs but it was Owais taking that winning run for Rizvi in a nerve-wrenching thriller of a finals which made them the winners of the Mumbai Indians U14 Inter School Tournament winning the match by just 1 wkt in 38 overs.

Navroz CC opting to bat first at Karnatak Sporting Assn. Cross Maidan notched up a total of 129/4 in 23 overs. Opener Varad with 42 runs was the highest scorer while off-spinner Jeet Bhaskar with 2/24 was the pick of the bowlers from United CC.
United CC on the other hand chased down the score with superlative ease thanks to a solid half century by their opener Vedant. Vedant Mayekar scored an aggressive 71 off 54 balls creating a positive momentum right from the very 1st over while he was assisted well by his opening partner Soham (33runs) as United CC chased down the score in just 21.1 overs winning the match by 9 wkts.
With this win, United CC also qualify for the finals of the tournament.

Vishal has been one of the most destructive openers in the T20 Format in Mumbai coming out from Sony Team in the recent past. Just few months ago he was in the limelight for a record breaking knock of 154* in 63 balls in the T20 Masters Cup and now again he shows his immense capabilities in the Dreamz T20 Trophy.
Sony Pictures opting to bat first at Sydenham Ground were off to a flying start with openers Pratik Patil and Vishal Pandey stitching an aggressive 177 run stand in 103 balls. Both the openers are known for their firebrand batting as Pratik scored a gritty 54 ball 74 (8 fours) while Vishal batted till the end scoring a swashbuckling 111* off 61 balls (18 fours) anchoring the team to 213/1 in 20 overs.
Trafigura in reply did manage to give a tough fight with Sabin’s hard fought 82* but eventually the team fell short of 39 runs ending their chase at 174/7 in 20 overs.
Sony Pictures won the match by 39 runs while openers Pratik and Vishal’s 177 run stand remain the highlight performance of the match.
After defeating Star India in semi-finals by 109 runs, Viva Supermarkets steered their way into the finals. Viva Supermarket’s top order batsman Akshay Mhapankar who has scored runs consistently this season including a brilliant 179 off 164 balls (26 fours, 1 six) vs Bank of Baroda on 3rd march will be a batsman to watch out for in the finals.
On the other hand, Mahindra team clinched a narrow win over Datamatics by one wicket in what was basically a low scoring game. Datamatics who have been a powerful team and favorites in F Div were disturbed by a promising Mahindra Team. Narayan Sawant from Mahindra who took 5wkts for just 17 runs in the semis will be a bowler who can ruffle the feathers in the finals and it will be an interesting battle between these two teams as both the teams have worked their way hard to reach at the top of their division.
The finals are to be conducted on Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana on 23rd of March 2019.
