On Saturday, PJ Hindu Gymkhana XI locked horns against National Sports Club of India (NSCI) XI at the former’s den in the GDCL. Winning the toss and electing to field first, PJ Hindu Gymkhana bundled out NSCI for 160 in 20 overs. The opening pair of Paras Zaveri (24 off 13) and Karan Chugh (30 off 20) provided a solid start to NSCI, with wicket-keeper Ankit Bhalaria (28 not out off 29) and Vishal Shah (26 off 13) pushing the team total to a challenging sum. PJ Hindu Gymkhana bowlers bowled well in tandem, as Kunal Shroff, DwijAdhvaryu, and Saurabh Bahutule picking up two wickets each. Vedant Gabhawala and Bakul Mistry accounted for a solitary wicket apiece.
Chasing a respectable target of 161, the home team got off to a flying start thanks to Suhail Mistry (69 not out off 56) and Saurabh Bahutule (27 off 17). Coming in at number 3, Megh Adhvaryu capitalized on the start provided by the openers and hammered a 25-ball 43 to take the game away from the opposition. Kunal Shroff too chipped in with a run a ball 15. Harsh Mehta and Sanjay Bohra of NSCI were among the wickets as they struck with 2-28 and 1-22 respectively in their four overs each.PJ Hindu Gymkhana won the match comfortably by seven wickets with five balls to spare.

Mumbai Cricket Club thrashed Shivsena XI by 7 wickets to win the final of the Santosh Kumar Ghosh U-16 Tropohy tournament, played at Mahim juvenile ground (Shivaji Park) here today.
Put into bat , most of the Shivseva XI batsmen, barring their skipper Sivam Shah (32), were all at sea while facing the MCC pace and spin attack and were b0wled out for 110. Aman Maniar (3/24), Yashim Shaikh (2/10) shared the bowling honours. In reply, Mumbai CC , lost three wickets midway before their captain Ayaz Khan, Tanmay Buram saw them home with seven wickets in hand.

Altaf Cricket Academy after winning the toss and opting to bat first scored a healthy total of 198/6 in 45 overs. Shaun Gomes played an impressive knock of 67 runs top scoring for his team while Sumeet Mishra was equally impressive in his gritty knock of 58 runs.
KMCA in reply chasing 199 were bundled out for 157 runs in 37 overs. The bowlers did a commendable job helping their team Altaf Cricket Academy win the match by 42 runs and getting qualified for the semi finals.
In the latest match of Altaf CA vs TVM Superstars, the TVM bowlers crushed Altaf CA for a record lowest total of 35 runs and and won the match by 8 wkts. Azar was declared Man of the match for brilliant bowling performance 5 overs 4 maidens and 3 runs taking 2 wkts.
After recently coming in the news for his blazing batting in the T20 Format where he has scored as many as 8 tons at a strike rate of 240+ alongwith 100+ sixes in the last 4-5 months, Dharmesh continues to score consistently across various local tournaments.
In the TPL League match between Crossfuse and Thunderbolts at the Thakur Ground on 6th April, Dharmesh scored a 56 ball 95 (12 fours, 5 sixes) taking the team to 188/8 in 20 overs. Thunderbolt Strikers in reply managed to score only 131/4 in 20 overs as Crossfuse won the match by 57 runs where in Dharmesh definitely stood out as a performer.
In the next day which followed on 7th April, Dharmesh opened the innings for Vinayak Marine Services in the all important semi finals of the T20 Masters Cup where he scored a brutal 89 runs off 42 balls (11 fours, 4 sixes) at the Vengsarkar Academy, Mahul. Dharmesh also shared a 172 run opening stand with Jay Pandya (72 off 44) which took his team to 206/8 in 20 overs. Vinayak Marine Services eventually won the match by 65 runs vs Titans Greensole XI.
In the match which was held on 9th April, Raging Rhinos team posted an unbelievable total of 182/4 in 10 overs. Dharmesh once again did what he does best this time scoring a destructive 91 off mere 25 balls (10 fours, 8 sixes). He also got good support from his skipper Pratik Chitalia who scored 59 runs in 23 balls. The opposition team Speedy Cheetahs managed to score only 84 runs in reply as Raging Rhinos won the match with quite a big margin.
The way Dharmesh has been batting, he certainly seems to be a valuable pick in tournaments like MPL & IPL!
On Sunday, PJ Hindu Gymkhana XI took on Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) XI at the former’s home turf in the GDCL. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, PJ Hindu Gymkhana posted a daunting 182-6 in 20 overs, courtesy a solid batting effort from opening batsman Saurabh Bahutule (36 off 28), middle order batsmen Megh Adhvaryu (38 off 21), Kunal Shroff (38 off 28), and Kevin Talati (21 off 12). Despite losing their first wicket in the second over, PJ Hindu Gymkhana held their batting together and put up a formidable score on board. With the ball, Yash Ramchandani was the pick of the bowlers as he struck with 3-36 in his four overs, and received good support from Gurvineet Singh (2-14 in 3 overs) and Amit Nayyar (1-19 in 2 overs).
In reply, MCA XI was done and dusted for a paltry 103 in 17.2 overs, losing the match by 79 runs. Vijay Singh (51 off 38) was the lone warrior, who could not find able allies to chase down the target. PJ Hindu Gymkhana put up a solid show with the ball, as the bowlers bowled a disciplined line and length on a consistent basis. Vedant Gabhawala (3-11 in 4 overs) and Ayush Parikh (2-27 in 3 overs) bowled well in tandem, alongside Paresh Shah and Dwij Adhvaryu, both accounting for one dismissal each. First with the bat and then with the ball, Kunal Shroff had a fantastic outing as he managed to scalp 3-11 in his two overs.
The all-rounder Kunal Shroffof PJ Hindu Gymkhana was bestowed with the Man of the Match award.

KMCA after winning the toss and opting to bat first at the TVM Ground posted a decent total of 184/10 in 45 overs. Though most of the batsman found it difficult to convert their starts, it was Shashwat Jhunjhunwala who top scored the innings with a gritty 59. Ashley D Souza with 3 wkts was the pick of the bowlers for TVM.
TVM Superstars in reply chased down the target in just 38.5 overs winning the match by 4 wkts. Man of the match Himanshu Kumar who had taken a wicket also top scored with the bat for TVM scoring 46 runs as TVM Boys crossed the victory line with ease.
ICICI Prudentials after opting to bat first were not able to post a big total getting all out for just 101 runs in 16 overs. IDBI bowlers did an excellent job and especially Yogesh Shinde who came up with a crucial spell of 5 for 27 in 4 overs. Yogesh was not only spot on with the ball but also kept on giving breakthroughs which stopped the opposition from making a big total. Shravan Gawde with 4/11 in 3 was equally impressive with ball coming up with an economical t20 spell.
IDBI in reply chased down the score with ease winning the match by 7 wkts and 6.4 overs to spare. Opener Jitendra Raut with 34 off 20 and Raghu Gaikwad with 37*off 30 ensured the chase was taken care of while Yogesh Shinde was declared ‘man of the match”
On Saturday, Osian Cricket Club locked horns against Malabar Hill Club during the GDCL at PJ Hindu Gymkhana, Mumbai. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Osian Cricket Club put up a mammoth 215-5 in 20 overs, courtesy 122 run opening partnership between Vishal Shah (73 off 46) and Kamran Ahmad (57 off 36). Ankit Zaveri (27 off 12) and Ankit Chopra (25 off 11) played couple of good cameos at the end to take the total over 200. With the ball, Manan Shah and Brijesh Ved accounted for two wickets each, with Amit Photographer scalping one wicket.
Chasing a daunting total of 216 was always going to be difficult and it did no good to Malabar Hill Club as they lost their first wicket on the fourth ball. Krish Jogani (17 off 13) and Vineet Dujodhwal (22 off 27) looked to consolidate and received good support from Sandeep Chatwani (30 off 24) and Manan Shah (20 off 16). However the team fell short of 64 runs as they were dwindled down for 151-7 in 20 overs. Nirav Bheda and Jignesh Thakker picked up two wickets each with Vishal Shah scalping one wicket.

Tournament was started on 2nd April 2019. And inauguration was done by Shri Kirti Rao (Executive Director Finance) along with Padma Shri Mr. Dhanraj Pillay (former captain of the Indian National Hockey Team). In current year (2019) sixteen teams are participating and divided in four groups. They will play in league basis and two teams from each group will qualify to play in quarter finals. From quarter finals to final tournament will be played on knockout basis. The quarter-finals will be played on April 9,2019.
Tournament was started in year 1962 and organized by Indian Airlines Sports Club (WR), that time tournament named as Indian Airlines Invitation Tournament and it was of 30 overs and knockout basis. Tournament was continued till 2011, but due to financial crises tournament discontinued. After renaming of Sports Club as Air India Sports Club (WR) management appointed Padmashri Mr.Dhanraj Pillay as Honourable secretary of Sports Club. With his efforts and guidance tournament once again started in year 2018 with a popular format of T-2O in league cum knockout basis after gap of six years.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bombay Gymkhana posted a challenging 162-5 in 20 overs. Opening batsman Sohrab Khusrushahi (70 off 55) and number 3 bat Jehangir Jejeebhoy (50 off 34) played an instrumental role in piling up the score. With the ball, it was Dwij Adhvaryu who was the top performer as he scalped 3-32 in his four overs. Kunal Shroff bowled well in tandem with Adhvaryu as he struck with 2-21 in his four.
In reply, it was a cake walk for PJ Hindu Gymkhana as they chased down the target in 17.4 overs, winning the match by seven wickets. Opening batsman Saurabh Bahutule (58 off 46) played a pivotal role in PJ Hindu Gymkhana’s win. Bahutule partnered well with Anand Gandhi (23 off 20) and Megh Adhvaryu (19 not out off 11) to take his team to a safe position. First with the ball and then with the bat, Kunal Shroff (35 not out off 15) had an fantastic outing.
