In the quarter finals match between, G.N Khalsa College and Viva College at the Azad Maidan, Viva College were bundled out for 95 runs thanks to a brilliant bowling spell by Aatif Shaikh. Aatif came up with impressive bowling figures of 5/41 in 9 overs running through the opposition with his accurate bowling.
Khalsa College in reply chased down the score with superlative ease thanks to their solid opener Japjeet Singh Randhawa coming up with 55* anchoring the chase as GN Khalsa college won the match by 9 wkts.
Rohan Bhosale’s huge 132 off just 55 powered Mumbai Police B to a 170 runs big victory against Navj Mumbai Police in a round match of the Inter Corporation Cricket Tournament 2019 (ESTD.1979), organized by Sahara Foundation and played at the Cross Maidan, Churchgate, Mumbai on Tuesday. This tournament is possible mainly because of Mr. Hayat J.Khan (President), Mr.Arvind V.Karam (Secretary) and Mr.Donwalkar (Treasurer). And 22 individual corporate teams are participating this time.
After the toss, Mumbai Police B had made massive 220 for 4 in 20 overs. They didn’t face any difficulty in negotiating the rival bowling attack and scored runs freely and they amassed a huge total, and they also produced a 82 run partnership for the first wicket. While, the death overs were bit difficult for the them, as they lost 2 for just 3 runs.
Navi Mumbai Police’s Rahul batted in scoring 17 runs but unfortunately received no support from the other batters. Yogesh and Kailash struck thrice as the Navi Mumbai Police collapsed from 19 for 2 to 50 for 8 in pursuit of 221 in 20 overs. Sudhakar also took 2 wickets in a same over.
Rohan Bhosale of Mumbai Police B won the ‘Man-of-the-Match’ title. He smashed unbelievable 132 off just 55 balls, including thirteen fours and eight sixes. This performance was full of energy and strong dedication.

At the same day, Mayur Sapan’s solid 56* off 45 powered Mumbai Police A to a 28 run victory against HPCL in a round match of same tournament. Put in to bat first, Mumbai Police A had made just 147 for 6 in 20 overs. Bhusan Patil was the best pick of the HPCL. In reply, HPCL were at 119 for 6 after 20th over. Mumbai Police A won the match by 28 runs because of Mayur performance. He also won the ‘Man of the Match’ title.

DY Patil boys after opting to bat first at the DY Patil Stadium amassed a good total of 399/8 in 129.4 overs. The experienced Subramaniam Doraswamy opening the innings brought up his 4th A Division ton of the season scoring a sublime 105 runs laced with 15 boundaries.
On the other hand, left-handed top order batsman Kevin Almeida coming at no.3 who is a batting mainstay for MIG continues to impress this time scoring an effortless 126 off 156 balls (18 fours, 4 sixes) to change the course of the game alongwith a 200+ run stand with Subbu for the 2nd wicket.
All-rounder Harmeet Singh coming at the middle order chipped in with crucial 66 runs propelling DY Patil to a respectable total.
Left-arm pacemen Royston Dias was the pick of the bowlers for Air India Sports Club coming up with excellent bowling figures of 6/68 at a time when DY Patil batsman were dominating the Air India bowlers.
Air India SC in reply scored 390/10 falling short of just 9 runs as they faced a defeat on 1st innings. Indian Wicket-keeper Naman Ojha scored a polished 83 runs while India A’s all-rounder Shams Mulani scoring a valiant 74. Harmeet Singh with his wily left arm spin churned out 5 wkts for 106 runs spinning a web on the opposition batsman. Harmeet seems to be back at what he does best as he was bowling spot on while was able to generate decent spin on the DY Patil track which is a good indication coming out from him.
DY Patil B won the match on 1st innings in what was a performance laden match from both the sides.
Captain Jeetendra Mulchandani’s unbeaten 81 off just 38 powered Rising Phoenix to a seven-wicket big victory against Digital Broadcast in a league match of the Jolly Friend Sports United League 2nd Edition 2018-19 and played at the Fatima School Cricket Ground, Vidyavihar West, Mumbai on 6th April 2019.
Digital Broadcast won the toss and decided to bat first. And they managed to get past the three-figure mark mainly due to major contribution from the Captain Atul Shrivastava, who was on 48 off 37 balls. After the end of 13th over, they were at 83 for 2 and then they lost 2 wickets in 14th over. This was the epic turning point of this game. And they ended up at 125 for 7 in 20 overs. Abhijit Desai (2-15) was the best pick for Rising Phoenix.
In reply, the start for the Rising Phoenix was extremely bad and shocking as they lost 2 early wickets in a very first over of the inning. Scary Moment for Phoenix! But Jeetendra Mulchandani was playing very calmly and aggressively, both at the same time. Tarun Kundnani gave him a good company and scored 35 of 31 balls. Powered by Vinay Kene’s soild unbeaten 86 runs knock, Century Rayon CC charged to a 79-run victory against Sachivalaya Gymkhana in a second round match of the Air India Invitation T20 tournament organized by Air India Western Region and played at the Air India ground, Kalina.
Century Rayon batted first and amassed a total of 187 for the loss of seven wickets from their 20 overs. Besides Kene’s fine efforts the other batsman who made a useful contribution was Roshan Jadhav who scored 34 runs.
Later, Sachivalaya Gymkhana was restricted to 108 for eight wickets from their quota of 20 overs. Jagdish Waghela (40 runs) and Dinesh Divekar (25 runs) tried to put up a fight. Century bowlers Ganesh Dhone (2/11) and Roshan Jadhav (2/9) claimed the wickets.

The bowlers bowled tight with Mukund Sarkar (3/19) and Rohit Desai (2/11) being the pick of the bowlers.
Masters Sports Club in reply chased down the score with superlative ease winning the match by 7 wkts and 1.2 overs to spare. The promising Siddharth Mhatre once again came up with a match winning knock of 66 runs in 52 balls while cameos by Shreeraj Gharat (21) and Pushkar Sharma (19*) sealed the chase as Masters Sports Club won the tournament in grand fashion.

Mumbai after being put to bat first posted a decent total of 273/6 in 50 overs where in opener Jemimah Rodrigues smashed more than half of the team runs batting the full quota of 50 overs to score 140* off 145 balls. Jemimah who is in supreme touch with the bat displayed class and panache hitting 16 fours and 2 sixes to take his team towards a respectable total.
Jharkhand team in reply were all out for 200 runs in 46 overs as the bowlers did not allow the opposition team to settle down and score runs freely as Mumbai won the match by 73 runs.

Captain Parag Patil’s stormy 58 off just 27 powered Ordinance Factory to a 101 runs big victory against GIC Sports Club in a second round match of the Air India T20 Tournament 2019, organized by Air India Sports Club (WR) and played at the Air India Cricket Ground, Mumbai on Tuesday.
After the toss, Ordinance Factory had made massive 196 for 6 in 20 overs. They faced little difficulty in negotiating the rival bowling attack but scored runs freely and they amassed a huge total, and they also produced a 93 run partnership for the first wicket. While, starting was bit difficult for the Future Group, as they lost 2 for just 33 runs. Opener Rugved More also batted very well, but made only 49 off 35 balls.
GIC’s Siddharth Kumar batted gutsily in scoring 35 runs but unfortunately received no support from the other batters. The GIC collapsed from 76 for 2 to 95 all out in pursuit of 197 in 20 overs.
Vijay Chinnamuthu of Ordinance Factory won the ‘Man-of-the-Match’ title. He claimed 5 for 13, consistently rushing batsmen with his deceptive pace. Parag Patil 2-5 in two overs was outstanding.
At the same day, Deepak Kumar’s solid 55 off 51 powered Western Railway Traffic to a 44 run victory against Times Shield Cricket in a round match of same tournament. Put in to bat first, Western Railway Traffic had made just 158 for 7 in 20 overs. Manoj was the best pick of the Times Shield. In reply, Times Shield were at 114 for all out by the start of 19th over. Western Railway Traffic won the match by 44 runs because of Hitesh Patil’s all-round performance. Rika Global slumped to their last straight loss in finals of Masters Cup T20 (Green) 2018-19 . They first struggled to 167 for 8, and then saw Harshad Terwankar wallop 55. This knock helped Maxicon Lines overcome a late wobble to secure a six-wicket win. They won the championship final match.
Rika Global won the toss and elected to bat first. After the early wicket of Yasin, opener stole the show,53-run stand off 38 balls between P. Akash and Manish had already set Rika Global on track for a defendable score. P. Akash was by a distance the more explosive of the two, hitting a single six and fourteen fours – to hurtle to 78 off 49 balls. Harshad Terwankar (2/23) was the pick of the Maxicon Lines.
