As it has been the case throughout the tournament, Shivaji Park Lions have suffered when it comes to their batting line up. Siddhesh lad found it difficult to get going eventually giving his spot to players who deserve a chance which was a good thing to do. Apart from him too, Shivaji Park team has lacked a batsman who could be consistent or score 70-90 odd runs alone in a single game. Yes, Raunaq Sharma tried his best with some flashes of brilliance so was Sachin Yadav but the team overall needs to buck up when they enter the season 3.

Batting first, Shivaji Park Lions could only muster 127/6 in 20 overs, Nikhil Patil with his unbeaten 37* was the highest scorer while the rest of the batsman found it difficult to get going. Arjun Tendulkar (1/23 in 4 overs & Nehal Katakdhond (0/15 in 4 overs) were the pick of the bowlers as both the youngsters were simply brilliant.

A target of 128 seemed to be a formality for Aakash Tigers as opener Bhavin Thakkar (65* off 49) and all-rounder Shams Mulani (40* off 32) stitched an unbeaten 89* run stand to steer Aakash Tigers to a 7 wkt win. Bhavin played some ecletic shots while Mulani as he has been throughout the series played the finishers role to perfection as Aakash Tigers qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.
