In the match between Parsee Cyclists and BRD CC at the Oval Maidan, Parsee Cyclists batting first posted a big total of 318/9 in 71 overs. A score of 300+ in kanga games is usually unheard of and especially during the 1st half of the season where a score of even 150+ or 200 is considered to be a good total. With top order batsman like Shahen Mistry (48 off 44) and Tanmay Buram (38 off 67) giving a decent start to the innings, it was Rustom coming at no.5 taking advantage of the positive momentum as he completely dismantled the opposition bowlers en-route his swashbuckling 129 off 103 balls laced with 21 boundaries.

Rustom on his way also became the 1st Parsi Cricketer to hit a century this year in Kanga across all divisions. Infact, it is after many years a Parsi player has scored a hundred in Kanga league.

Wikipedia- Dr Hormasji Dorabji Kanga was an Indian cricketer who played first-class cricket for the Parsis cricket team between 1899 and 1921 as an all-rounder and opening batsman. He was the first Indian to score a double century in a first-class match, and the Kanga Cricket League is named after him.
