JFSC Burns & McDonnell Premier League 2020: Technit Global India Pvt Ltd (TGIPL) VS Tecnimont ICB Pvt Ltd (TPL), the match was played at Shivaji Park on 15th February 2020. TPL won the toss and elected to BAT first.
TPL’s Opener Darshan Mayekar played a vital innings of 49 off 35 balls, he hit 7 fours in his innings. His fellow top order batsmen didn’t contribute lot to the cause. Nilesh Sawant played a decent 20. Shrikant Shetty at the bottom clobbered the bowlers and scored 48 runs off 23 balls. He hit 8 fours and 1 sixes. With a collective effort, they scored 164 runs in 20 overs losing 8 wickets. For TGIPL, Gangadhar Arale and Anant Pande picked up 3 wickets each.
In TGIPL’s batting innings, Pravin Nikhare scored 24 off 23 balls. Except him no other batter even crossed the double figure mark. They were bowled out for 66 runs in 15.3 overs. It was a disappointing performance by TYGIPL. For TPL, pacer Srikant Shetty, who previously had a decent outing with the bat also contributed with the ball, he picked up 3 wickets and pacer Ninad Thakur picked up couple of wickets each. TGIPL also had 3 run outs in their innings that was problematic.Overall, a very compelling performance by TPL.
RESULT- TPL won by 98 runs.

MIG CC batting first on their homeground had a batting feast in hands with their top 3 amassing 350+ runs amongst themselves. Openers Swapnil Pradhan & Kevin Almeida provided a solid 114 run stand for the 1st wicket while India U19 player Varun Lavande played a brilliant knock of 108 runs in 94 balls (14 fours, 4 sixes) stitching a 178 run stand for 2nd wicket opener Swapnil Pradhan. The experienced Swapnil on the other hand anchored the innings scoring 108 off 147 balls laced with 7 fours with lots of hardwork between the wickets. It was on the back of this excellent opening stand, MIG reached a total of 447/10 in 67.3 overs. Left arm spinner Akshay Darekar continued his fine form with the ball taking 7/107 in 21.3 overs.
Bhatnagar Sports & Cultural Foundation were cleaned up for just 153 runs with not a single batsman managing to cross the 30 run mark. MIG bowlers were bang on with in-form pacer Nikhil Date running through the batting line up with an envious spell of 6/73 in 15 overs. Nikhil who has been amongst the wickets this season is giving a strong statement for himself with MPL and IPL round the corner.
Result-MIG CC won the match by a massive margin of 294 runs.
Sportsman CC Club, Kalyan after being put to bat first at Oval Maidan were all out for 66 runs in 25.4 overs in what looked like a big batting collapse for them. The highest score in their innings was of their opener Rohan Karandikar scoring 21 while players right from no.3 to no.7 failed to open their accounts with every batsman getting out on ducks. It was Vedant Patil who bridged the ducks gap scoring 20 at no.8 while the no.9 & no.10 players also got out on 0 with as many as 7 ducks registered in Sportsman CC’s innings. The bowler who played a principal role in such calculated destruction was young and promising left arm spinner Zenith Sachdev who came up with unbelievable bowling figures of 7/12 in 9 overs coupled with 6 maidens.
Chasing 68 was a mere formality for Shantibhai Seth Memorial CC as they won the match by 9 wkts chasing it down in just 9.2 overs.
Youngster demolishes New Apostolic English School with a seven wicket haul
Nagpur: Devansh Mishra continued his fine form to scalp seven wickets and skittle out New Apostolic English School for just 15 runs, setting up a comprehensive ten-wicket win for Centre Point School, Katol Road in the U-16 Boys category of Mumbai Indians Junior Cricket Tournament in Nagpur.
Mishra who had scalped eight wickets and struck a blazing hundred with the bat in the inaugural match on Monday added to his tournament wickets tally with another brilliant bowling performance. New Apostolic batsmen couldn’t with stand Mishra’s hostile bowling and were bundled out for just 15 runs in 16.1 overs.
The score was so low to chase that Mishra despite opening the innings couldn’t open his account and his partner Prabhviraj Lamba (18) knocked off the runs in the first over itself. Mishra however won the Player of the Match title.
Meanwhile, at the MSEB ground in Nagpur, all-rounder Akash Singh of Delhi Public School (Lava) scored crucial 19 runs and later snared three wickets as DPS defeated Shree Convent & Jr. College, Manewada in the Boys’ U-14 game by 70 runs.
Akash emerged second top scorer after Parth Belgundkar (28) to help DPS score 134 before getting all-out in 33.1 overs. In response, Shree Convent & Jr. College were bowled out for 64 runs in 13.2 overs with Akash giving them severe jolts with the ball.
In the Girls’ U-16 clash, Ekta Bobade of Siddheshwar Vidyalaya helped her team clinch the match, thanks to her phenomenal five wickets haul and 23 runs with the bat. Ekta’s fifer helped Siddheshwar bowl out SS International School for 55 runs and then chase the target in 4.3 overs. Ekta who opened innings scored unbeaten 23 to lead her side to emphatic ten-wicket win.
In the same category, Shri Rajendra High School scored a massive 604-run over MKH Sancheti Public School. Rajendra girls made an imposing total of 639/2 in 17 overs which included penalty runs of 304 from the opponent. Sanskruti Talwekar (88 not out) and Shivashree Dhare (80) hammered half centuries with the bat. In response, Sancheti School were bowled out for 35 runs in 10.3 overs.

Duo scores half centuries to help their side beat NL Dalmia High School by 147 runs
Mumbai: Yash Gosavi and Sudhanshu Gadkar struck exciting half centuries to guide St. Xavier’s High School, Airoli to an emphatic 147-run win over NL Dalmia High School, Mira Road in the Under-14 Boys match of the Mumbai Indians Junior Cricket Tournament here today.
Gosavi played the role of the aggressor by hammering unbeaten 89 of just 52 balls while Gadkar was comparatively measured in his approach to score 80 runs and help St. Xavier’s put up a total of 397/8 in 40 overs at Azad Maidan on Wednesday.
The target proved to be too much for NL Dalmia High School’s batsmen and Xavier’s bowlers made it even harder with some disciplined bowling. The Mira Road based school lost wickets at regular intervals and could manage 250/9 in 40 overs. Gosavi walked home with the ‘Player of the Match’ title.

SSA Strikers batting first at Vengsarkar Academy, Mahul were cleaned up for 103 runs in 18.5 overs with Nitish Temkar at no.8 top scoring with 36 runs which somehow helped SSA cross the 100 run mark. It was a spirited bowling performance by Riams XI bowlers as Farrukh Momin with 3/11 in 4 overs proved to be simply unplayable to hit those big boundaries. Farrikh maintained tight line and length while he was nicely supported by Yasin Sheikh who took 3/17 in 4 overs.
RIAMS XI in reply chased down the score in just 15.1 overs winnings the match by 4 wkts. Opener Sajid Sheikh scored a crucial 35 off 33 while Satish Badhale at no.8 remained unbeaten scoring a handy 22*

DSP batting first at Vengsarkar Academy, Mahul were all out for a low total of 124/10 in 16.1 overs. Opener Umesh Wadekar with 36 runs top scored in an otherwise dismal batting performance. From the bowlers, it was Rohit Katti being the destroyer in chief coming up with exceptional bowling figures of 5/33 in 4 overs. Rohit was bang on taking crucial wickets at the middle order while Ruchit Jamsandekar with 2/16 in 4 overs was also quite supportive.
For Avengers XI, chasing 125 was a mere formality as they chased it down in mere 13.1 overs winning the match by 8 wkts and almost 7 overs to spare. Rohit Katti who opened the innings was also the highest scorer with 33 runs in 30 balls as he provided a good opening start.

Central Bank Cricket Team batting first scored 252 for 6 in their allotted 45 overs. Vishwajeet Jagadale was the top scorer for Central Bank hitting a majestic 100 in 88 balls laced with 15 boundaries. Krish Subramaniam also played an equally impressive knock of 84 runs in 117 balls with 7 boundaries as these two ensured their team remained in a strong position.
Batting second IDFC Bank were all out for 223 runs in 41 overs. Ajit Singh fought it out single handedly scoring 116* in 117 balls with 10 boundaries despite lacking support from the other end. For Central Bank of India Vishwajeet Jagadale with 4 wickets for 35 runs in 7 overs & Ratan Sharma with 3 wickets for 31 runs in 8 overs were the pick of the bowlers.
Result- Central Bank won the match by 29 runs
Bengal Club after being put to bat first at Shivaji Park, Dadar posted a total of 286/9 in 41 overs. After a good start by the openers who put on 62 runs for the 1st wicket, young prodigy Raj Desmukh top scored with a solid 55 at no.3 followed by Tanay Kadam’s 33 ball 47 at no.5 as most of the batsman from Bengal Club provided cameos.
From the bowlers, left arm spinner Pankaj Kori with 3/58 was the pick of the lot.
Gamdevi Cricketers who were 2/33 at one stage got back into the game thanks to a 106 run stand for 3rd wicket between Aashay Shukla (46) and Pratik Lad (61*). Pratik played an anchoring knock of 61 * in 67 balls while he received excellent support from Nikhil Ajgaonkar at no.7 who played a match winnings at no.7 despite both his thumbs getting injured. The passion to perform and the love for cricket was way above the pain he faced while batting as his 59 ball 69* steered Gamdevi Cricketers to a 4 wkt win in 43.4 overs.
Devansh Mishra of Centre Point School, Katol Road lit up the inaugural day of the Nagpur leg with remarkable all-round performance in the Boys Under-16 match of the Mumbai Indians Junior cricket tournament on Monday.
Mishra first struck a brilliant hundred and then starred with the ball by taking eight wickets to hog full limelight in massive 305-run win for his team against Podar World School. Batting first, Mishra wielded his bat effectively to notch up 116 runs and help Centre Point School score 394/8 in 40 overs. He was ably supported by Prabhviraj Lamba who scored 89 runs.
Chasing a stiff target, Podar batsmen looked out of ideas before Mishra’s destructive bowling perfromance and folded up for a paltry 89 in 15.3 overs.
