Avinash Salvi Foundation opting to bat first at PIOC Cricket Ground in Pune posted a handsome total of 285/8 in 40 overs. Both the openers Abhigyan Kundu and Sarthak Dhamdere stitched a 198 run stand for the 1st wicket in mere 25 overs changing the course of the game. Left-handed Kundu fell just 4 short of a deserving hundred getting out on 96 off 73 balls while Sarthak narrowly missed out on a well deserved hundred too getting dismissed for 92 runs in 99 balls.
Defending a total of 286, PIOC.JCL were bundled out for 75 runs in 31 overs courtesy a match winning bowling spell by Spinner Mann Bhanushali. Mann who was in Mumbai U14 Probables last year seems to be knocking the doors of Mumbai team with consistent performances throughout the year. Mann returned with bowling figures of 6/15 in 8 overs. Apart from Mann, Shubhangi and Vedant Gore chipped in with 2 wickets each.

Played at Sainath Sports Club Jivdani Cricket Ground in Virar, Ours CC opting to bat first posted a massive total of 223/6 in 20 overs. After a solid opening start by the openers, it was their skipper Aayush Vartak who once again impressed one and all with his effortless batting. Vartak coming at no.3 reached not only reached the fastest hundred of the tournament but also went on to score an unbeaten 131* off 44 balls. Aayush’s innings was complimented by 15 fours and 8 sixes with a strike rate almost nearing 300!

What’s more, Aayush smashed a six to reach his hundred in mere 36 balls. Just few weeks back on Kamothe Ground, he scored a century off 32 balls while he scored a 36 ball ton last year in U16 Mumbai Indians U16 Tournament.
Sainath Cricket Academy in reply were all out for just 62 runs courtesy some brilliant bowling by Ours CC bowlers. Vansh Gurav with 3 wkts for 1 run in 2 overs was the pick of the lot followed by Vishal Yadav who conceded only 4 runs in 3 overs chipping in with 2 wickets.

Venkateshwar Cricket Academy after being put to bat first at Bharti College Cricket Ground in New Delhi posted a very decent total on the board. Even though it was a disastrous start with both the openers back in the hut without opening their accounts, it was their middle order which brought their team back into the game. Wicket-keeper Kush Waghela scored a very important knock of 62 runs while Ishaan and Shaleen chipped in with crucial 30’s as their team reached 280/9 in 40 overs.
Team Achievers ACA in reply were all out for 66 runs thanks to a stunning spell by the skipper Ronak Waghela. Ronak who missed out on contributing with the bat made it even by performing exceedingly well with the ball as he single handedly ran through the opposition’s batting line up taking 9 out of 10 wickets. Ronak Waghela returned with impressive bowling figures of 9/9 in 6.3 overs ensuring Achievers ACA were bundled out in mere 15 overs.

Super Strikers after opting to bat first at MIG Cricket Club posted a total of 167/9 in 20 overs. The top order players chipped in with cameos while it was Jasdeep Kohli at no.5 who top scored with 44* off 35 balls. Amol Sisodiya down the order also provided a handy cameo with a quick 15 ball 26 to his name. From OIS, Piyush Patel with 3/27 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot.
Defending a total of 168, Super Strikers bowlers did an excellent job of restricting OIS Blasters to 154 all out in 18.5 overs. Despite a fabulous opening start of 72 runs in the first 8 overs by the openers, the batters below them could not capitalize it. Mittal Joshi in particular was bang on with the ball not only staying economical but also providing timely breakthroughs as he came up with match winning bowling figures of 4/25 in 3.5 overs. The rest of the bowlers also did a fine job as Super Strikers won the match by 13 runs.

Played between Kusum Warriors and MTM Riders at Eskay Cricket Ground in Borivali, Kusum Warriors winning the toss opted to field first. MTM Warriors in reply mustered a more than decent total of 177/9 in 20 overs. Most of their players chipped in with starts but were not able to convert it into something substantial. Vismay at no.4 was their top scorer with 38 runs in 36 balls. From the bowlers, all-rounder Deven Dhruva was the pick of the lot taking 3/19 in 4 overs.
Chasing anything above 150+ is not that easy but Kusum Warriors laid a good foundation to the chase with a 70 run stand for the 2nd wicket between opener Karan Zaveri (42) and Smit Shah (51 off 26). Smit scored an impressive half century which created a positive momentum for the chase. Deven Dhruva coming at no.4 pounced on the positive momentum laid by their top order players playing a blinder of a knock to steer his team to a dominating win. It took him mere 17 balls to reach his unbeaten half century and what’s more his innings included 6 sixes in an over thrashing Harsh Shah (the bowler) out of the park with disdain. Kusum Warriors on the back of hurricane innings by Deven chased down the score successfully with 20 balls to spare.

Played at Fatima Cricket Ground at Vidyavihar in Mumbai, Anonymous Knights probably made the right decision opting to bat first at they managed to notch a massive total of 223/5 in 20 overs. Opener Varun Madnani was in a completely different zone in that match as he took on the bowlers with absolute ease en-route his scintillating 122 off just 54 balls laced with 15 fours and 8 sixes. Varun’s hundred has certainly raised the temperature high in the tournament as it was an exhibition of clean hitting. Varun was nicely supported by middle order bats Aditya Bhatia and Anuj Tiwari who chipped in with crucial 30’s.
Yoddhas Strikers in reply only managed 138/9 in 20 overs thanks to a disciplined bowling performance from Anonymous Knights Bowlers. Not a single batsman crossed the 30 run mark and that was itself a testimony of their tight bowling performance. Rahul Singh with 3/9 in 3 overs was the pick of the bowlers while Rahul and Sanjeev bagged 2 wickets each.

Played at the MIG Cricket Club in Mumbai, MRV Risers after opting to bat first managed to score a decent total of 154/10 in 20 overs. Opener Shailesh Sankav top scored with 45 runs in 32 balls while the rest of the batters chipped in with 20’s to ensure their team reaches a respectable total. From the bowlers, Avanish Shah was the pick of the lot taking 3/21 in 4 overs.
Chasing 155, JBCN United were off to a really shabby start with 2 wickets down for 6 runs. However, it did not took much time for them to change the game on a good track of MIG Cricket Club in Mumbai. Nitin Kukreja at no.4 blasted his way through a hurricane knock. Nitin took mere 40 balls to score an unbeaten 83* which consisted 8 fours and a six while he was nicely supported by Allwyn Rao who played the anchors role with 40* off 31 balls. It was their unbeaten 111* run stand which steered JBCN to a 7 wickets win with 8 balls to spare.

Susbea Pro after being put to bat first by Omni Global Sports were all out for 134 runs in 29.3 overs. It was a top order collapse where in most of their batters found it difficult to get going. Riyaz Shaikh at no.6 top scored with 48 runs which perennially saved his team from a low total. Apart from him, Ankit Jain scored 27 runs supporting Mayuresh with a crucial middle order partnership. From the bowlers, Omkar Maldikar with 4/21 in 6 overs was the pick of the lot.
Defending a low total of 134, Susbea Pro did a fantastic job of restricting Omni Global Sports to 114 all out in 25.1 overs. The bowler who made all the difference was all-rounder Ankit Jain who came up with sensational bowling figures of 6/29 in 8 overs. Ankit was bang on with his line & length which reaped rewards for him as well as his team.

Played at Shastri Park, New Delhi, Rajput Gymkhana Cricket Academy in New Delhi opting to bat first posted a massive total of 400/8 in 45 overs. These are the kind of totals which can put pressure on any kind of teams! Openers Utkarsh and Mohit gave a solid 114 run stand while it was Saurav Nautiyal top scoring the innings with 117 runs off 75 balls. Saurav smashed 8 fours and 6 sixes with a strike rate of almost 160 while also stitched a 219 runs partnership with Kaptan who scored an equally impressive 87 off 67 balls.
Royal Tigers in reply were bundled out for 219 runs in the 34th over with Nitin top scoring with 87 runs. No.10 batsman Ajit Singh also showed some grit hitting a well fought 57. However, the lack of support from the other players ensured these half centuries weren’t enough to even call it a tough fight. The bowlers did a neat job with Prince and Manekh bagging 3 wickets each.
