Played at Karnatak Sporting Association, Cross Maidan, Parkophene Cricketers after being put to bat first scored 263/9 in 44 overs.  Despite losing some early wickets, Prasad Pawar (54 runs) and Sagar Mishra brought their team back into the game with a 94 run stand for the 4th wicket. All-rounder Sagar Mishra who came at no.5 top scored for his team scoring an aggressive 104 off 77 balls which included 10 fours and 4 sixes to his name.

Dadar Union Sporting Club in reply chased down the score successfully in what turned out to be a very close game for both the teams.  Siddarth Akre at no.5 scored 73* off 66 balls (5 fours, 2 sixes) anchoring his team towards a brilliant chase while he was nicely supported by Siddhant Singh who scored 67 off 66 balls at no.7 and getting involved in a 126 runs partnership with Siddarth Akre.

Result: Dadar Union Sporting Club won by 4 wickets

Sainath Sports Club opting to bat first on their home ground posted a healthy total of 292/7 in 44 overs. Despite a sluggish start with scoreboard reading 6/48 and 7/72 at one stage, Sainath Sports Club reached 292/7 in the end courtesy a match winning knock of 130* runs by Karan More at no.6. Karan simply changed the game and it was a knock of substance as he scored 130* off 105 balls smashing 12 fours, 4 sixes while he was nicely supported by Bharat Patil down the order who remained unbeaten on 53*.

United Cricketers in reply were all out for 175 runs thanks to some smart bowling by Sainath SC bowlers. Left arm spinner Yash Chavan with 4/31 in 9 overs was the pick of the lot while rest of the bowlers also chipped in well.

Vijaychandra CC YGCL ’21 Cricket Tournament Organised by OTE (Over the Edge Events)

Played between Real Cricket Academy and Sai Sia Cricket Academy at Karnatak SA, Cross Maidan, Real Cricket Academy opting to bat first scored 246/8 in 40 overs. With scoreboard reading 5/95 at one stage, it was Utsav Koti at no.6 who rescued his team from a low total. Utsav scored a solid 81 off 60 balls which had 5 fours, 6 sixes while he was supported by the tail as they reached a good total to defend.

Sai Sia Cricket Academy in reply could only manage 187/8 with Roneet Thakur’s 47 being the highest score. The bowlers did a good job with Pranay Rana and Chris Britto taking 3 wickets a piece.

In the match played between MCC vs Real Cricket Academy on 3rd April at Western Railway, Cross Maidan, MCC opting to bat first were all out for 178 runs in 39 overs. Aditya Giri at no.3 was the lone warrior as he scored 91 runs off 100 balls smashing 11 fours and 1 six.

Real Cricket Academy in reply chased down the score with ease thanks to a good opening stand of 72 runs between Awais Khan and Prateek Yadav (43 off 42 balls). Awais Khan played the anchors role guiding his team towards a commanding win with a fine knock of 81* off 101 balls (10 fours, 3 sixes)

Real Cricket Club opting to bat first at National CC Cross Maidan had a batting feast amassing ah huge total of 369/7 in 37 overs. Ayush Mhatre, the opener took complete control of the innings as he single handedly dismantled bowlers with a blistering knock of 144 runs in 90 deliveries smashing 24 fours and 3 sixes. The rest of players batted around him as Real CC reached a commanding total to defend.

Sanjeevani Center of Excellence in reply could only manage 155/8 in 40 overs with Omkar Patankar scoring 62* off 101 balls. It required their batters to play at a faster rate but Real CC bowlers did a commendable job of restricting the opposition.

In the other match played at Western Railway, Cross Maidan, Dinesh Salunkhe Cricket Academy after being put to bat first scored 356/7 in 37 overs.  Opener Arya Chowkidar top scored with a fine innings of 80 runs in 77 balls while he stitched crucial partnerships with Aditya Pawar (56 off 40 balls) and Aman Yadav (50 off 39 balls). It was on the back of these half centuries, Dinesh Salunkhe Cricket Academy reached in a commanding position in the match.

Yuva Arjun Cricket Academy in reply were cleaned up for 93 runs all out courtesy a match winning bowling spell from Atharva Bhosale who took 5/21 in 6.4 overs alongwith a maiden. All-rounder Harsh Salunkhe also chipped in with 3 wickets.

Cadence Cricket Academy after being put to bat first at Deccan Gymkhana, Pune were all out for 136 runs in 37 overs. Most of the batters found it difficult to convert their good starts as the bowlers did a very good job of restricting them to a low total. Vicky Otswal with 4/27 in 10 overs was the pick of the lot bowling a crucial spell for his team whole Soham and Omkar Rajput bagged 2 wickets apiece.

Chasing 137, Varroc U19 Team chased it down successfully winning the match by 8 wickets. The openers fell early but it was Suraj Gond at no.3 top scoring with 58* runs off 90 balls. Suraj also stitched an unbeaten 105 run stand with all rounder Vicky Otswal who scored 42* off 49 balls (7 fours)

The finals was attended by Chief Guest Vikas Kakatkar President MHCA, Riyaz Bagwan MHCA Secretary, Samad Fallah, Harshad Khadiwale (Ranji Tophy Players.)

In the match played between Mahim Youngsters and Titans Cricket Academy at Karntaka SA, Cross Maidan, Titans Cricket Academy opting to bat first could only muster 106/10 in 27.2 overs. Aditya Parab looked impressive for his 47 runs at no.4 while rest of the players found it difficult to get going.  From the bowlers, Pranav Sonawale with 3/17 in 6 overs was the pick of the lot while rest of the bowlers also bowled well.

Mahim Youngsters in reply chased down the score in 22.4 overs with Shriman Sakpal top scoring with 42 runs at the middle order.

In the other match which was played at National CC, Cross Maidan, Ours Cricket Club after opting to bat first were all out for 168 runs courtesy a tight bowling spell by left arm spinner Nishit Balla who took 4/27 in 8 overs alongwith 2 maidens.

However, Ours CC did a brilliant job defending a low total courtesy a match winning bowling performance from Varad Vaze. Varad provided timely breakthroughs not allowing RBCA batsman to settle down as he returned with excellent bowling figures of 5/38 in 8 overs. Vansh Gurav with 3/23 also bowled well as R.B.C.A were all out for 158 runs.

 

Rising Stars Sports Foundation opting to bat first at RK Cricket Ground posted a total of 142/4 in 20 overs. Coming at no.3 and 4, Ajit Yadav (55 runs) and Manish Yadav (37 runs) top scored for Rising Stars team. Both the players also stitched a good middle order partnership to push their team towards a respectable total.

Defending 142, Rising Stars restricted Vijay Cricket Club to 85/8 in 20 overs with excellent bowling performance from Siddhesh Jadhav. Siddhesh who also scored 20 runs with the bat was the pick of the bowlers coming up with a crucial spell of 4/12 in 3 overs. Apart from him, Satyam Choudhary also bowled well taking 2/16 in 4 overs.

Result: Rising Star Sports Foundation won by 57 runs

In the match between United Sports Club, Thane vs PWD Sports Club, Thane at Central Maidan, Thane, PWD Cricket Club winning the toss opted to bat first. PWD batting first posted a good total of 183/4 in 20 overs with Rohan Pawar at no.3 top scoring with 50 runs off 40 balls (4 fours, 4 sixes).  Apart from him, Ukarsh Joshi (44 runs off 38 balls) and Vaibhav Badwe (42 off 19) were the highest scorers. From the bowlers, Varshav Gadwe with 2/15 in 3 overs was the pick of the lot.

Chasing 180+ at any level in a T20 game is a difficult task but opener Aditya Koli ensured he took the game in his hands to ensure a one man show. Opening the innings, Aditya scored a brilliant 125* off just 59 balls which had 11 fours and 7 sixes to dismantle the opposition’s bowling attack. Aditya was well supported by Pramod who scored 38* as United Sports Club crossed the victory line in just 17 overs winning the match by 9 wickets and 3 overs to spare.

What a brilliant bowling performance from young Kalpit Koli who plays from Karan Cricket Academy. The youngster defending a low total of his team just conceded 4 runs in his spell of 4 overs taking as many as 5 wickets to rattle Shreyash Cricket Academy. Kalpit provided timely breakthroughs and did not allow the opposition to settle as he helped his team Karan Cricket Academy win the match by 21 runs.

Played between Rising Star Sports Foundation and Atharva XI at RK Ground in Mumbai, Rising Stars after being put to bat first performed well posting a good total of 198/4 in 20 overs.  Both the openers Aryan Pendurkar and Tanmay Malondkar gave a fantastic start stitching 111 runs for the 1st wicket. Aryan scored an impressive 51 off 36 balls (4 fours) while Tanmay Malondkar top scored for his team with a gritty 58 off 50 balls.

Atharva XI in reply were all out for 102 runs courtesy tight bowling by Rising Star bowlers. Most of the bowlers came up with a wicket or two while Chirag Modak with 3/19 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot.

Result: Rising Star Sports Foundation won by 96 runs
