Cargo Cricket Club after being put to bat first at Fatima Cricket Ground in Mumbai, Vidyavihar were all out for 123/10 in 20 overs. No.9 batsman Deodatt Shastri played a blinder of an innings scoring 52* off 31 balls at the lower order to push his team towards a respectable total. The destroyer in chief for Cargo CC was Vrajesh Modi who cleaned up their middle order with his sharp bowling. Vrajesh returned with bowling figures of 5/15 in 4 overs which now becomes the first fifer of this year’s JFSC’s cricketing season.
Spartans CC in reply received a tough fight from the Cargo CC bowlers as they kept on taking their important wickets at regular intervals. Vipul Panchal at no.8 exactly did what Deodatt did for Cargo team smashing an almost match winning 34* off 29 balls. The match eventually ended in a draw as Spartans CC missed out by just one run in the penultimate delivery reaching 123/8 in 20 overs.

Played at Dadaji Konddev Stadium Thane, Dadar Parsi Colony after being put to bat first scored 238/4 in 45 overs. Even though, they lost their openers early but Siddarth Ghule (44 runs) and Maxwell Swaminathan stabilized the innings with 87 run stand for the 3rd wicket. Maxwell who came at no.5 played a composed innings of 104* off 108 balls, an innings which included 5 fours, 4 sixes and fair amount of running between the wickets! Maxwell was nicely supported by Bhushan Talwadekar who scored 55* off 39 balls. Bhushan and Maxwell also stitched an unbeaten 119 run stand pushing their team towards a defendable total.
PJ Hindu Gymkhana in reply were all out for 190 runs courtesy a tight bowling performance from the DPC bowlers. Maxwell Swaminathan who scored an unbeaten century also bagged 4 wickets coming up with bowling figures of 4/47 in 8.5 overs. Maxwell who is currently in Mumbai U25 team has certainly given a strong performance to stamp his presence for this season in Mumbai cricket.
Played at MIG Cricket Ground in Mumbai, MIG CC after being put to bat first were all out for 188/10 in 35.3 overs. Opener Kevin Almeida scored 58 runs while he also stitched a good partnership with no.4 batsman Swapnil Salvi who top scored for MIG team. Swapnil scored 80 runs off just 78 balls smashing 13 fours. Swapnil continued playing his natural game though he lacked support from the other end. Apart from Kevin and Swapnil, only one batsman managed to score in double digit. Sangram Bhalekar was pick of the bowlers from Dadar Union returning with bowling figures of 4/29 in 6 overs.

Chasing 181, Dadar Union openers Onkar Jadhav and Divyansh Saxena stitched a match winning partnership as both the batters smashed crucial half centuries. Onkar scored 70 off 61 balls while southpaw Divyansh remained unbeaten on 75* off 94 balls smashing 9 fours to steer his team towards an 8 wicket win.

New Hind SC after being put to bat first at Islam Gymkhana put up a commendable total of 345/6 in 45 overs courtesy a sparkling half century from Sidhaant Adhatrao. Openers Bhavin Thakkar (32 runs) and Sumit Ghadigaonkar (53 runs) gave the perfect start while Sidhant who came at no.3 capitalized on the good momentum set by the openers to score a strokeful 103 off 91 balls which had 9 fours and a six. Sidhaant was well supported by Pranav Kela who scored 61 runs at the middle order.
On the other hand, Muslim United Sports Club were all out for 231 runs with Sachin Katkar at the middle order being the top scorer with 85 runs off 73 balls (12 fours, 3 sixes). From the bowlers, Parikshit Valsangkar with 3/32 was the pick of the lot as New Hind SC won the match by 114 runs.
Parel Sports Club after being put to bat first at DY Patil’s homeground turned up with a decent show scoring 259/10 in 44.1 overs. Opener Usaid Cutlerywala scored 47 runs while it was Gaurish Jadhav at no.4 who impressed one and all with his solid batting. Gaurish attacked DY bowlers in their own den smashing a brilliant 116 off mere 83 balls, an innings which included 17 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of almost 140.00

DY Patil in reply chased down the score in 40.3 overs courtesy a solid performance from their top order batters. The experienced opening combination of Subramanian D (47 runs off 41 balls) and Bravish Shetty laid the perfect foundation for the chase with Bravish Shetty top scoring for DY Patil with a fluent knock of 80 runs. Bravish scored 80 off 85 balls (11 fours, 1 six) while he was nicely supported by Subbu (47 runs), Hitesh C (30 runs) & Ashay Sardesai (49 runs). Wicket-keeper Yogesh Takawale played the finishers role with 33* off 27 balls coming at no.6 as DY cruised towards the victory by 6 wickets.

Played between Regal CC and Dadar Parsi Colony Sporting Club at the iconic Cricket Club of India ground, Regal CC after opting to bat first were all out for 104 runs in 17 overs courtesy some brilliant bowling by DPC bowlers. Medium pacer Manas Raika with 4/31 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot while Yogesh Sawant proved to the game changer with a T20 hat-trick to his name in the Talim Shield. Yogesh returned with bowling figures of 3/30 in 4 overs denting Regal CC’s middle order and restricting them to a low total. No.5, No.6 and No.7 batters of Regal CC were pocketed by Yogesh’s hat-trick.
Dadar Parsi Colony SC in reply chased down the score in 15 overs winning the match in a commanding manner by 7 wickets with Ravi Solanki and Maxwell Swaminathan remaining unbeaten to finish the chase.
Mumbai: Gautam Waghela was in solid batting form and cracked an unbeaten double century 201 runs (144 balls, 22×4, 8×6) and powered Karnatak Sporting Association to a thumping 177 runs victory against Sind Sports Club in a first round match of the MCA organized Madhav Mantri Centenary One Day Cricket League 2021 for A & B Division teams and played at the MCA ground, BKC on Sunday.
In another match, the unbeaten efforts of Shrikant Limbole who slammed a century knock of 111 runs and Mansing Chavan 77 runs, steer Mumbai Police Gymkhana to an 8-wicket win against Young Comnrade CC with plenty to spare.
Sind SC after sending Karnatak SA to bat first were sent on a leather chase as KSA amassed a huge total of 375 for 7 wickets in 45 overs. Besides Waghela’s massive innings Ramanpreet Singh scored a solid 80 runs. Vikas Singh was Sind SC’s most successful bowler who finished with 4 for 70 runs. In reply, Sind SC were dismissed for 198 runs in 36.5 overs. Nitin Salekar 43 not out and Aditya Dhumal 43 got some decent runs on the board. KSA’s Vinayak Bhoir picked 4 wickets for 48 runs.

In the match, Mumbai Police after deciding to field first restricted Young Comrade to 269 for 7 in 45 overs. Yogesh Dongare 74 runs, Saurabh Singh 69 runs and Shreeraj Gharat 41 runs propped up the innings.
Chasing a challenge target, Mumbai Police were well-served by Limbole and Chavan as they steadily chased down the runs scorimng 270 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 42.5 overs.
Brief scores: Karnatak SA 375/7 in 45 overs (Gautam Waghela 201*, Ramanpreet Singh 80, Vikas SIngh 4/70) beat Sind Sports Club 198/10 in 36.5 overs (Nitin Salekar 43*, Aditya Dhumal 43, Vinayak Bhoir 4/48). Result: Karnatak SA won by 177 runs.
Young Comrade CC 269/7 in 45 overs (Yogesh Dongare 74, Saurabh Singh 69, Shreeraj Gharat 41) lost to Mumbai Police Gymkhana 270/2 in 42.5 overs (Shrikant Limbole 111*, Mansing Chavan 77*, Rohit Pol 42). Result: Mumbai Police Gymkhana won by 8 wickets.

In what turned to be a high scoring encounter where almost 400 runs were scored in the day, AIS Sparks opting to bat first at Fatima Cricket Ground in Mumbai, Vidyavihar notched up a total of 192/3 in 20 overs. Opener Aazaz Khan top scored with an impressive 70 off 49 balls while Aditya Jain at no.3 scored 60 off 40 balls laced with 8 fours and 2 sixes.6* off 48 balls. Pramod smashed 7 fours and 4 sixes to set the stage for a perfect chase while Puneet Mehra (40 off 27 balls) and Amol Pawar (18 off 5 balls) did the finishing job for the team.
Pramod Chandan who took a wicket and also anchored the chase with his half century was declared man of the match.
Bombay Blasters after opting to bat first scored a very good total of 185/8 in 20 overs. Opener Siddarth Shetty top scored with 57 runs off 26 balls while lower middle order consisting of Parth Tolia (44* off 23b) and Mubin Shaikh (23 off 10b) gave quickfire cameos to their team. From the bowlers, Simranjeet Singh with 3/7 in 4 overs was simply stunning with the ball.
Chasing 186 in a T20 is a difficult task at any level of cricket, however no.3 batsman Daiwat Rane absorbed the chasing pressure to score a well crafted 95* off just 49 balls. Daiwat smashed 12 fours and 2 sixes while the rest of the players batted around him as he single handedly steered the team towards a commendable win by 2 wkts and 3 balls to spare.
Daiwat missed out on a well deserved half century but it was knock which helped his team win the match. Daiwat was declared man of the match for his unbeaten 95*
