Accenture Team after being put to bat first at Fatima Cricket Ground in Mumbai posted a very competitive total on board scoring 177/5 in 20 overs. Opener Leon set the stage with a solid 53 off 44 balls while Pratik Surve was the game changer coming up with an aggressive 77 off mere 31 balls, an innings which included 5 fours and 7 sixes at a strike rate of almost 250.00! From the bowlers, Meer with 3 wickets and Amit with 2 wickets were the pick of the lot.

Chasing 178, Yes Cricket Club gave a very good fight but eventually fell short by 9 runs as they scored 168/6 in 20 overs at the end of the gameplay. The highlight of their chase was a brilliant 82 by Daiwat Rane who came at no.3 and almost pulled off the match with his enterprising batting smashing 8 fours and 2sixes. Subhash with an unbeaten 30* off 19 balls was the 2nd highest scorer. Pratik Surve certainly owned the match as the all-rounder was their pick of the bowlers too taking 2/31 in 4 overs as Accenture went on to win by 9 runs.

Palghar Dahanu TSA after being put to bat first at Islam Gymkhana managed to score a total of 204/10 in 36 overs courtey some tight bowling by Musavir Khote and Hashim Sayyed who bagged 3 wickets each. From PDTSA, 19yr old Rugved More played an impressive knock vs a team far more experienced and senior to him.  Coming at no.3, Rugved scored almost half of the team runs smashing a solid 93 off 85 balls laced with 7 fours and 6 sixes.

Chasing 205 for Islam Gymhana seemed like a mere formality for them on their homeground especially when they had the experienced combination of Kaustubh Pawar and Mihir Agarwal (43 runs) putting on 120 runs for the 1st wicket. Mumbai Ranji Opener Kaustubh anchored the chase with his natural strokeplay smashing 77 off 62 balls laced with 10 fours and 4 sixes as Islam Gymkhana went on to win the match by 6 wkts and almost 12 overs to spare.

Goregaon Sports Club opting to bat first on their homeground posted n impressive total of 274/8 in 45 overs. Opener Jiniv Joshi top scored for his team smashing a solid 60 off 66 balls laced with 7 boundaries. Apart from him, Kinshuk Rai (49 runs), Shrideep Mangela (35 runs) and Abhishek Faria (34*) contributed with crucial knocks. From the Parsee Gymkhana bowlers, quickster Shivam Malhotra with 3/55 was the pick of the lot.

Parsee Gymkhana who boast of an experienced line up were reduced to 258 runs in 44.4 overs courtesy some top order breakthroughs by the experienced Dinesh Salunkhe followed by a match winning bowling performance by left arm spinner Akshay Darekar who has close to 200 wickets for Maharashtra at Domestic Level returned with impactful bowling figures of 5/49 in 9 overs cleaning up Parsee Gymkhana’s middle and lower middle order. It was a clinical bowling performance by Goregaon SC boys as they won the match by 16 runs.

MIG CC batting first on their home ground batted really well accumulating a total of 337 runs in 45 overs. Left-handed Kevin Almeida top scored the innings for MIG smashing an impressive 121 off 131 balls. The opener crafted a solid innings laced with 17 boundaries and a six. Apart from Kevin, middle order players Swapnil Salvi (51 runs) and Suryansh Shedge (75 runs) stitched a 129 run stand together to further put MIG in a strong position.

Victory CC in reply were all out for 238 runs in 41.5 overs with Varun Deshpande at no.5 being the lone fighter for his team smashing an aggressive century. Varun scored 113 runs off 111 balls laced with 12 fours and 5 sixes as he kept on playing his natural game despite wickets tumbling from the other end. From the bowlers, quickster Nikhil Date with 2/60 and left arm spinner Anurag Singh with 3/30 were pick of the lot for MIG as they won the match by 107 runs. 

In the match between Zebro and Emagine at Chembur Gymkhana Ground, Emagine team after being put to bat first posted a massive total of 254/4 in 20 overs with 3 half centuries from their top order batters. Ananth Venkatraman who opened the innings gave a flying start with 66 runs off 30 balls followed by a brilliant 26 ball 55 by Chetan Shetty. Pawan Patheja who came at no.4 pounced on the positive momentum left behind by the top order as he played a game changing knock of 77 runs in mere 30 balls smashing 15 fours and a six.

No.3 batsman Gautam Chopra and Ashley Fernandes stitched 94 runs for the 3rd wicket with Gautam getting out on 99 runs. Gautam missed out on a deserving hundred scoring 99 off 54 balls laced with 14 fours and 3 sixes.

In the other match between Arjoon vs Nora Jewels at Chembur Gymkhana, Nora Jewels opting to bat first scored 220/8 in 20 overs. Pankaj Asrani (58 runs) and Suraj Lalwani (58 runs) were the top scorers smashing crucial half centuries. Team Arjoon in reply chased down the huge total quite successfully courtesy a great partnership at the top and middle order.

Opener Chirag Thakkar (39 runs) and no.3 batsman Omkar Sangpal put on 99 runs together for the 2nd wicket with Omkar top scoring in the match with 75 runs off mere 35 balls which included 17 boundaries. Middle order players, Ravi Nemade (49 off 27 balls) & Chirag Amin (39* off 22 balls) further changed the game with a quick 87 run stand for the 5th wicket as team Arjoon went on to win the match by 6 wickets hitting the winning runs in the penultimate over with 4 balls to spare.

Played at the scenic MCA Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Kandivali, Mumbai, Payyade Sports Club opting to bat first scored a healthy total on board amassing 295/8 in 45 overs. Musheer Khan and Bhupen Lalwani (39 runs) gave a solid start to the innings while Musheer was in a different zone altogether anhilating the bowlers with his excellent stroke making. Musheer probably the youngest in the match took on the experienced bowlers of PJ Hindu Gymkhana with disdain as he went on to score a massive 163 off mere 120 deliveries smashing 16 fours and 7 sixes.

PJ Hindu Gymkhana in reply were all out for 185 runs courtesy a clinical bowling performance from Payyade bowlers. Badrey Alam, Sagar Mishra, Musheer Khan and Raunaq Sharma contributed with the ball taking 2 wickets each as Payyade Sports Club cruised towards the victory by 110 runs.

Vijay CC after being put to bat first at Karnatak, Cross Maidan in Mumbai were all out for 166/10 in 33 overs. Opener Dhruv Brid (37 runs) and Chinmay Mohite gave a solid start to the innings however the team crumbled apart from these two players contributing with their batting. Chinmay scored almost half of his team runs smashing 83 off 74 balls laced with 11 boundaries. From the bowlers, spinner Roopam Yadav with 4/17 in 5 overs was the pick of the lot.

 

United Friends Sports Club were cleaned up for 59 runs as bowler Achilles Perriera gave a flying start sending both the openers back to pavilion without letting them open their accounts. Achilles returned with bowling figures of 4/15 in 7 overs while Akash Dahiya took 3/6 in 4 overs in what turned out to be very impressive bowling performance from Vijay CC bowlers as they won the match by 107 runs.

Played at the Dadaji Konddev Stadium in Thane, Young Maharashtra CC after being put to bat first scored 214/8 in 45 overs. Tushar Kadam from Young Maharashtra was the highest scorer with 54* while rest of the batters contributed with cameos. Defending a modest total of 215, National CC were successfully restricted to 179 all out with fast bowler Ayush Raghuvanshi being the game changer.

Quickster Ayush Raghuvanshi returned with bowling figures of 5/16 in 7 overs taking crucial top and middle order wickets. Sanket Kashte at no.3 scored 54 runs for National CC in an otherwise batting collapse courtesy some excellent bowling by pace Ayush Raghuvanshi helping his team win by 35 runs.

Matunga Gymkhana opting to bat first in their home ground posted a massive total of 426/7 in 38 overs which included 32 penalty runs.  Opening the innings, Kuldeep Yadav and Ishaan Amin gave a good start of 77 runs for the 1st wicket while attacking batsman Ninad Borkar who came at no.4 changed the game with his electrifying knock of 138 runs in mere 77 balls. Ninad smashed 10 fours and 12 sixes while also stitched a crucial partnership with opener Kuldeep who scored an equally impressive 106 off just 56 balls.

In the match between Real Cricket Academy vs Syed Alamdar Cricket Academy at Youth’s Own Union CC in Mumbai. Real CA opting to bat first were all out for 153/10 with opener Lokesh Mistry’s 58 off 79 balls being the highest score. Mahboob Alam with 4/30 in 7.5 overs was the pick of the lot from Alamdar Cricket Academy.

RN Dosco Cricket Academy in reply scored 250/5 courtesy two game changing half centuries from Captain Aryan Gandhi who scored 77 runs off 90 balls and Shravan Mhatre who scored an unbeaten 77* off 78 balls coming at no.6 as RN Don Bosco won the match on 1st innings lead.
