SKP Athletics opting to bat first at Elphinstone wicket, Azad Maidan posted a decent total on board scoring 217/9 in 40 overs. Opener Gautam Patkar gave a solid start of 46 (101 balls) despite SKP losing some quick top order wickets. The game further took a u-turn when no.5 batsman Mandar Nalavade entered the crease dominating the opposition bowlers with his enterprising stroke play. Mandar went on to score a brilliant 105 in mere 89 balls (11 fours, 2 sixes) pushing SKP Athletics towards a respectable total.
Jolly Cricketers in reply were all out for 136 runs courtesy a brilliant match winning spell by Rohit Yadav who came up with envious bowling figures of 5/20 in 8 overs. Rohit provided crucial breakthroughs not allowing the opposition team to settle in for a smooth chase while Mandar who scored a century also chipped in with 2 crucial wickets removing both the openers in the opening spell. It was a clinical performance from SKP Athletics team as they won the match in a commanding manner by 81 runs.
Pandurangwadi CC batting first at New Hind, Matunga posted a total of 195/10 in 38.5 overs. The openers Pratik Mayekar & Lal Vishwakarma gave a solid start stitching 91 runs for the 1st wicket. Pratik Mayekar top scored Pandurangwadi CC’s innings with an impressive half century scoring 64 runs off 66 balls laced with 11 fours and 1 six. From the bowlers, Medium Pacer Hardev Tandel was the pick of the lot taking 5/45 in 7.5 overs.
Defending a total of 195 runs, the pressure was certainly on the Pandurangwadi bowlers who thrived under pressure to defend a moderate total. It was a close encounter with Koli Combined giving a tough fight but eventually falling short of 4 runs getting all out for 191 runs in 28.5 overs. All-rounder Pratik Mayekar who top scored with the bat was the pick of the lot with the ball too returning with a crucial spell of 4/35 in 4.5 overs. Saurabh Sorte provided the much needed breakthroughs at the middle order taking 3/41 in 8 overs as Pandurangwadi Cricket Club went on to win the match by 4 runs.
JFSC Academy’s U13 team batting first on Vengsarkar Academy Ground in Mahul, Mumbai were all out for 78 runs in what turned out to be a tight bowling performance from Bravo Academy bowlers. JFSC top order had a few batters coming up with cameos but the batters were not able to convert it into big scores. From the bowlers, Harsheel and Prince with 3 wickets each were the pick of the lot.
Defending a total of 79 runs in a T20 match, the pressure was certainly on JFSC boys and they soaked the pressure quite well successfully restricting Bravo Cricket Academy to 66 runs all out in 12.5 overs. JFSC bowlers gave a tough fight with most of them chipping in with a wicket. Yash Sawant was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/8 in 2 overs.
Result: JFSC U13 Academy team won by 12 runs

Jolly Cricketers after being put to bat first at Oval Maidan in Mumbai were restricted to a low total of 110 runs all out in 29.3 overs with no.10 batsman Ranjit’s 20 runs being the highest score. The bowler who inflicted maximum damage was pacer Sumit Markali who returned with exceptional bowling figures of 5/31 in 8 overs including 2 maidens.
Sumit took crucial top and middle order wickets not allowing the opposition team to settle down. Rajasthan Sports Club in reply chased down the score in 24.2 overs winning the match by 2 wickets.
MIG Cricket Club after being put to bat first on their homeground managed to post a total of 202/8 in 34 overs. Captain Kevin Almeida top scored with 93 runs off 86 balls (12 fours, 2 sixes) as he anchored his team’s batting pushing MIG towards a respectable total. Mumbai Police bowlers did a good job with the ball with Yogesh Jagtap being the pick of the lot taking 3/32 in 6 overs.
Chasing 209, Mumbai Police chased down the score in 33 overs winning the match by 4 wickets. Skipper Sunil Patil opening the innings scored 51 runs off 44 balls while also stitched a crucial partnership with in form Shrikant Limbole who has been one of the top scorers of the tournament this season. Shrikant who also has a century in Madhav Mantri this season continued his good form with the bat anchoring the chase with a match winning 73* off 67 balls (6 fours, 2 sixes) as Mumbai Police cruised towards a commendable win.

In what could be a great announcement for Corporate Cricket Teams, Mumbai Cricket Association has come up with a new corporate tournament called MCA Corporate Trophy which will be only for Corporate Cricket Teams.
Entries are invited from interested Public and Private Sector Companies. Entry Fees for the tournament would be Rs 5000/- plus 18 % GST. All charges i.e. Ground, Umpire, Scorer, Ball Charges will be borne by MCA. Matches will be played on Weekdays only. Last Date of entry is Friday,3rd December 2021.

We often keep complaining about things in life while we often neglect the things which we have. The mindset of not appreciating what we have and complaining on what we don’t have often results in we never being satisfied or happy with ourselves.
We at Cricketgraph recently interacted with 33yr old Hemil Parekh from Mumbai and his never give up attitude and his tough mindset made us realize that, we need to stop complaining and start working with positive mindset to achieve our life goals. Hemil just like any other cricket loving kid began playing cricket from a very young age, courtesy his equally cricket loving father Paresh Parikh. In summer vacations, his father would took him to the nearby grounds in Sion and that’s how his tyrst with cricket began from the age of 16. Hemil went on to play for his school in Harris Shield representing Shri Vallabh Ashram English Medium School while he also played College Level cricet Representing SIWS College. During that phase, he came up with many performances with 5/36 in 8 overs being his best bowling figures.
Everything was sailing good, Hemil like any other aspiring cricketer was doing everything correct as possible, he was training hard, playing matches at School and College level until he met with an unexpected accident in 2009. Hemil met with a train accident in 2009 which resulted in him facing serious injuries. That one accident costed him a lot as he lost his one leg. Hemil went through severe pain and multiple treatments & it was almost the end of his ambitious cricketing journey, he was mentally depressed & had given up on living a regular life which every other human wishes to live.
After almost 3-4 months of innumerable pain, tears, treatments and operations, Hemil got his prosthesis leg ready and he started training again. His father once again became his first coach, motivated him and asked him to start practicing everyday & start living his life like any other regular guy.
Hemil shared with Cricketgraph “Me and my father both are crazy about cricket and he started training me again to prepare me for playing cricket. I could remember, he told me to run 3 rounds of the ground in which we practice. I first found it difficult and after the rounds the pain was unbereable as the stump was bleeding. I would also remember my father words at that time “this is the pain that makes you stronger”. And after such training, I again started playing cricket. I do still practice hard to play as my goal is to play for my country. In a regular local matched my best figures are 6-32 after bowling 6 overs.
From almost giving up in life in 2009/10 to taking a 6 wicket haul in a regular match with one prosthesis leg, the journey in between has been nothing but inspiring. Hemil also went on to play in Mayor Cup representing MCAD Team (Mumbai Cricket Association for Disabled) where he took 3/22 in his first match while he went on to take 3 wickets in almost every match he played in Mayor Cup.
Hemil furthermore mentioned about Coach Malkesh Gandhi who he believes is the turning point in his career. Coach Malkesh gives him personal attention and he even gifted him a white ball after his promising performance which he cherishes with pride. Hemil believes Coach Malkesh Gandhi made him physically prepared and helped him to know cricket in a broader way.
Played SKN School Ground in Rajkot, Axel Cricket Academy which is one of the biggest cricket academies in Morbi opted to bat first scoring a massive total of 338/9 in 50 overs. The openers set the stage with a perfect start putting on 99 runs together for the 1st wicket. Opener Nikhil Chhattria scored an impressive 75 off 71 balls laced with 10 fours and 2 sixes. Digvijay Parmar at no.4 scored a half century while it was Captain Bhavy Aghara at no.6 who played a perfect skippers knock changing the game with his blistering century. Bhavy scored 104 runs off mere 75 balls wherein he smashed 13 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of almost 140.00!
RK Sports Academy in reply were all out for 158 runs courtesy a clinical bowling performance from Axel Academy bowlers. All-rounder Nikhil who scored 75 runs also took 3/32 in 8.3 overs while Khush Kundariya with 3/21 was the pick of the lot.
Result: Axel Cricket Academy won the match by 180 runs

In a great news from Delhi’s Venkateshwar International School in Dwarka, Delhi, Aryan Dalal who studies in Venkateshwar International School and practices at Venkateshwar Cricket Academy has been selected for India U19 Team. Aryan has been one of the prolific players of the academy who has been consistently scoring runs at local and club level with an average in the higher 40’s
Aryan received warm wishes from his school, his academy while he was also felicitated for his selection and he received blessings from Mr. Rohan Jaitley (President DDCA), Mr. Siddharth Sahib Singh Verma (Secretary), Mr. Rajan Manchanda (Joint Secretary), Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma (Director) along with the coaches Mr. Devdutt and Ashok Kumar congratulated and blessed the Cricket Star.
Aryan Dalal and Shreeyans Mahey have also been selected for the Delhi Under-19 team for the Cooch Behar Trophy Tournament which will be held at Baroda.
Played at CNR Cricket Ground in Telangana, Hyderabad, AV Academy opting to bat first scored 233/3 in 32 overs. Even though they lost one of their openers early, skipper Aryan Reddy who opened the innings once again came up with a solid half century for AV Academy scoring run a ball 69 while also stitching a 151 run stand for the 2nd wicket with G Prem who top scored with 71* off 93 balls (9 fours).
Wicket-keeper Aleti Ramesh played the finishers knock smashing an impressive 60* off 27 balls laced with 5 fours and 5 sixes. Mir Ali Cricket Academy in reply were all out for 158 runs courtesy a clinical bowling performance from AV Academy bowlers.
Result: AV Academy won the match by 75 runs
