MUMBAI: Bhosale Cricket Academy defeated MCC ‘A’ by 20 runs in their opening tie in the MCC Talent Search under-12 cricket league, jointly hosted with Jwala Sports Foundation at Santacruz’s Air India Sport Cub at Kalina today.
Batting first, Bhosale boys scored 119 for eight of the allotted 25 overs. Arya Karle top-scored with 49. In reply, MCC ‘A’ended with 99 for nine with Hursh Rumde made 30, while Aarav Malhotra bagged three wickets for 13 runs in the allotted five overs. Six teams are in the fray in the inauguration competition. The matches will be played over 25 overs with each team getting five games before the top two will contest the final.

Played at Azad Maidan, Mumbai, Sai Sia A after being put to bat first posted a total of 199/10 in 36 overs. Opener Parth Pathak scored almost half of the team runs batting from start to end as wickets kept on tumbling from the other end. Parth scored a solid looking 92* off 97 balls which had 10 fours in it. From the bowlers, Anuj Giri with 3 wickets was the pick of the lot.
Mumbai Cricket Club in reply were all out for 174 runs in 33.3 overs with opener Aditya Giri’s 45 being the highest score. The bowlers bowled well and especially Rishi Shah who was the pick of the lot returning with economical bowling figures of 3/18 in 6 overs with 2 maidens. Vedant Gadia and Aryan Singh also bagged 2 wickets each.

Taking on Real Cricket Academy at Cross Maidan, Patel Cricket Coaching Center after opting to bat first scored a very good total of 222/10 in 40 overs. Opener Nutan Goel gave a swashbuckling start scoring 76 off 46 balls laced with 7 fours and 2 sixes while no.3 batsman Harsh scored 50 off 41 balls. From the bowlers, Vansh Akbari with 3 wickets was the pick of the lot.
Real Cricket Academy in reply were all out for 179 runs in 38.5 overs courtesy an impressive spell by all rounder Raj Desmukh who returned with impactful bowling figures of 4/19 in 7.5 overs including 2 maidens. Patel Cricket Coaching Center won by 43 runs while Raj Desmukh was declared ‘man of the match. In the other match vs Nashik Sports and Fitness Academy in the same tournament, Patel Cricket Coaching Center under their Head Coach Kadir Patel won by 22 runs. Raj Desmukh was man of the match in that match too for his knock of 68 runs in 56 balls which had 10 boundaries in it.
Representing Ageas Federal Team, Ayush Vartak played a brilliant knock of 94 runs to steer his team to a commanding win. Batting first Saeesh Cricket Academy, Ageas Federal posted a healthy total of 180/5 in 20 overs. Opener Rahul Kodavoor scored 51 runs off 44 balls while also stitched a 135 run stand for the 3rd wicket with Ayush Vartak. Coming at no.4, Ayush scored an impressive 94 off 49 balls laced with 9 fours and 6 sixes.
Saeesh Cricket Academy in reply could only managed 61/9 in 20 overs courtesy some disciplined bowling by Ageas Federal team bowlers. Ageas Federal eventually won the match by 119 runs while Ayush came out as the standout performer in the match.
Played at Cross Maidan in Mumbai, Real Cricket Academy opting to bat first found themselves in deep trouble getting restricted to 64/10 in 17.2 overs. The top 4 players of the team failed to open their accounts courtesy a brilliant spell from Nashik Sports Academy’s bowlers. Krishna Jadhav and Parth Tathed combined took 9 wickets together with Krishna being the pick of the lot with 5/24 in 8.3 overs alongwith 3 maidens. Parth also bowled well taking 4/28 in 7.3 overs with 3 maidens.0
For Nashik Sports and Fitness Academy, it was a mere formality to chase down the paltry total of 64 runs as they won the match by 10 wickets with openers Laksh Ramchandani (23*) and Vedant Sonawane (32*) finishing off things for their team. No.3 wicket-keeper batsman Aditya Pabalkar scored an impressive 87 off 86 balls laced with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Aditya top scored for his team pushing Sanjeevani Cricket Academy to a competitive total. From the bowlers, Chirag Modak bowled a brilliant spell taking 5/28 in 8 overs. Chirag’s spell was quite effective in providing crucial breakthroughs at the middle order but he lacked support from the other end.
Anjuman Islam U16 team in reply were all out for 155 runs courtesy some sharp bowling by Fardeen Shaikh (3/26) and Nishit Balla (3/44). Sanjeevani Cricket Academy won by 91 runs while Aditya Pabalkar was declared ‘man of the match”

With already 80 centuries, 111 half centuries and 7 double centuries to his name at different levels, Abhigyan Kundu since his early days made a mark for himself for his batting abilities. The 81st century which he smashed a few days ago will be one of the very special tons out of his all the hundreds as he had made a history by scoring one of the fastest quadriple hundreds in India. From 18th December to 21st December, Atma Malik Cricket Academy has organized Maharashtra Premier League for U16 and U19 age groups. Two teams from Andhra Pradesh, Avinash Salvi Foundation Mumbai, Maharashtra Warrior and Atma Malik have participated in this competition. The inaugural match was between the U16 Andhra Pradesh team and the Avinash Salvi Foundation, Mumbai team.
Avinash Salvi Foundation, Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat first in the limited overs match on December 19. Mumbai’s leading batsman Abhigyan Kundu hit 37 fours and 36 sixes off 145 balls scoring a marathon knock of 408* out of his team’s total of 544 runs. In reply, U16 Andhra Pradesh team managed 138 all out as Mumbai won the match by 406 runs.
Abhigyan Kundu who started his cricketing career at the grounds of Atma Malik Cricket Academy at the tender age of 6, has achieved great success in a short span of time. Mumbai’s Chetan Jadhav who is the coach of Kundu says “No player has ever scored such a big individual score on the field of Atma Malik, this is going to be one of the most unforgettable games of Kundu, over the years, he has scored runs everywhere in every corner of Maharashtra as well as India at Club and Local Level, its about time, the association recognizes this talent and grooms him for future”
The second clash was between Andhra Pradesh U-19 team and Maharashtra Warrior Sangh at Maidan No. 2. In this match too, Aniket Gaikwad from Maharashtra Warriors hit an unbeaten 110 off 99 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes to take the team to 227 in 30 overs. In this match too, Andhra Pradesh lost by 22 runs with 205 all out. Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association Secretary A. Ramchandra, Mumbai’s Chetan Jadhav, Andhra Pradesh’s coach Mahesh, Nashik’s businessman Sanjay Gaikwad were present to witness this amazing feat. Mr. Nandkumar Suryavanshi, President, Atma Malik Dhyanpeeth Trust, also wished Abhigyan Kundu all the best for the future.

Played at the GLR Garden Cricket Ground in Telangana, Hyderabad, the finals of the KFC T20 5th National Cricket Championship for Deaf conducted by Indian Deaf Organization was conducted between Delhi and Haryana where in Delhi after being put to bat first scored a decent total of 126/9 in 20 overs. Even though, they lacked someone who could convert their starts but their batters chipped in with cameos with Shiv Naryan Sharma (27 runs) and Abhishek (23 runs) being the highest scorers. From the bowlers, Ajay Raman with 3/18 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot. Apart from Ajay, Lokesh and Deepak Rawat bagged 2 wickets each.
Defending a modest total of 126, Delhi bowlers did an excellent job restricting Haryana to 123/9 in 20 overs. Despite a great effort from Manish Jain and Lokesh Rawat who scored 43 runs each, Haryana batters failed to lend support from the other end. Delhi bowlers were spot on providing timely breakthroughs to ensure the momentum doesn’t pick up for Haryana. Virender Singh with 3/18 in 4 overs and Jatinder Tyagi with 3/26 in 4 overs bowled crucial spells to bring Hayana on to the backfoot as Delhi Deaf Team won a low scoring thriller by 3 runs to become the champions of KFC T20 5th National Cricket Championship for Deaf under the training of Delhi’s Head Coach Devdutt.
Vidarbha’s Jagjot Sasan’s masterclass innings of 173 not out and an amazing bowling performance was the highlight of the match played between Vidarbha and Assam in the Cooch Behar Trophy (2021-22). The Vidarbha team won the toss and invited the Assam team to bat first. Wherein the Assam team scored 175 runs and were all out in 59.4 overs. Tejas Soni and Gaurav Farde bagged 3-3 wickets each.
The Vidarbha team in response put up a monstrous score of 443 in 134.1 overs. Jagjot Sasan alone went on to score 173 not out of 200 balls. He was supported by Abhishek Agrawal, Ashit Singh and Gaurav Farde who scored 72, 50 and 59 runs respectively. Whereas when the Assam team came out to bat in the second innings and restricted on a score of 118. It was Yatharth Javery who bagged 6 wickets and helped his team win the game by an innings and 150 runs.
Jagjot Sasan was the star player of the match, who performed extremely well not only through the bat, but also bagging 2-2 wickets each in both the innings and helping his team gain a massive victory against the Assam team. Both Jagjot and Vidarbha team will be hoping for this form to continue throughout the tournament and go on to win it.

In their first League Match of the Pulse Sports Red Ball T20 Corporate Cricket Tournament played at the Oval Maidan at Churchgate, newly appointed Skipper Sandeep Patil won the Toss against Soni United, and elected to Bat on a good-looking Pitch.
The elegant left-hander Anil Kumar (31 from 17 Balls; 4 Fours & 1 Six) and Israr put on a solid and quick-fire Opening stand of 43 in 4.5 Overs. Prithvi (48 n.o.) held one side up, stitching together useful Partnerships with Sandeep Shetty (15) and the stylish right-hander Rohit Shetty (22 n.o. from 16 Balls). An unbeaten Partnership of 44 from 26 Balls for the sixth Wicket with the latter really provided the impetus for the good total of 158/5 in the allotted 20 Overs for IndiaFirst Life. For Soni, Jugal (2-0-17-2), Devansh (3-0-16-1) & Meet (3-0-14-0) were the pick of the Bowlers.
During the chase, though Soni had a good start (35/0 in 4 Overs), they never seemed in the hunt thereafter. Ankit (44 Runs; 4 Fours & 1 Six) and Jigar (25 from 19 Balls; 3 Fours & 1 Six) provided some resistance, before the former was trapped in front by Anil. Left-arm Spinners Wasim (4-0-16-2) & Anil (4-0-22-1) and Medium-pacer Sandeep Shetty (4-0-26-0) kept it tight in the Bowling department. At the end, Soni finished at 130/6 to provide IndiaFirst a 28 Run victory. Anil was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match for his all-round performance.
