Winning the toss, Mulund Knockers opted to bat 1st. In 15 overs, they managed to score 161/8 wickets. The Left Handed Batter, Anil Ronanki was the highest run scorer for Mulund Knockers. He scored 55 runs within 27 balls hitting 2 fours and 5 sixes. Bowlers, Aman Tcsc, Dinar Deshmukh, and Swastik Parab of the Warriors Cricket Club managed to take 2-2 wickets each.
Chasing a target of 162 within 15 overs, the openers of the Warriors Cricket Club came in to bat and gave a good start to their team. They scored 46 runs within 4 overs. But it was then when they lost their 1st wicket. Then came Ravi Chaurasia to bat at number three. Ravi Chourasia scored a quickfire 62 runs playing 28 balls. His innings included 9 fours and 2 sixes. As a result, Warriors Cricket Club chased the target within 14.1 overs, with 5 balls remaining.
Ravi Chourasiya said, “This was one of the best innings of my life. The reason behind it is that, not only did I score 50 runs but also I was able to help my team win a cruicial match.” He adds further, “When I went in to bat, I already told everyone that I am going to play aggressively. I had one thing in my mind, that is, I had to be aggressive and play till the end and give my best.” Ravi Chaurasia was selected as the player of the match for his impressive batting performance.
Bhosale Cricket Academy opting to bat first at Belapur Sports Association Cricket Ground posted a total of 250/4 in 45 overs. Opener Kshitij Pal top scored in the match scoring a fluent 79 off 70 balls. Apart from him, Vedant Toprani at no.3 scored a half century smashing 50 off 57 balls.
GPCC in reply received a tough fight from the Bhosale Cricket Academy bowlers but eventually crossed the victory line in the penultimate over winning the match by 1 wicket scoring 253/9 in 45 overs. Raza Mirza and Zishaan Chaudhary scored match winning half centuries. From the bowlers, it was Dhavet Prakash coming up with a brilliant spell of spin bowling. Dhavet almost took his team home with a win as they lost the match by a narrow margin. Dhavet gave it all returning with bowling figures of 5/53 in 9 overs.
On January 13, Iqbal U14 locked horns against Haas Cricket Sports at Green View in Hyderabad during the Pongal Cup. Haas Cricket Sports won the toss and elected to field first.
Put in to bat, Iqbal U14 scored 158-7 in 20 overs, riding on opening batter Aryan Reddy’s delectable half-century. Reddy muscled 69 runs off 52 balls, including eight boundaries. The right-handed batter was there till the 17th over of the match and ensured that his team posted a healthy total on board. For Haas Sports Club, Karoon was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 3-22 in his four overs, including two wickets in one over.
In reply, Haas Cricket Sports were reduced to 110-7 in 20 overs, falling short of 48 runs. Captain Vineel top scored with an unbeaten 42 off 34 balls, including four boundaries and a six. For Iqbal U14, Reddy and Arijit were the star performers with the ball as the duo accounted for two wickets apiece. While Reddy picked up 2-12 in four overs, Arijit struck with 2-17 in his three overs.
Reddy won the player of the match for his brilliant all-round performance. He is working hard on his game and wants to play for Hyderabad U14 soon.

The final match of the Vijay Reddy Memorial Cricket Tournament was played on December 12 last year at the KSCA Ground in Raichur, Karnataka. The tournament was organized by City XI Cricket Club Raichur, who also featured in the final against Gadwal Cricket Club. The finale was a nail-biting thriller as the hosts won the match by just five runs on the penultimate ball of the game.
Batting first, City XI Cricket Club posted a respectable score of 130-6 in 20 overs, thanks to their top order batter N Raghavendra, who top scored with 33 runs off 34 balls, including four boundaries. He stitched a 50-run partnership for the third wicket with Ajay Gouda, who muscled 27 runs off just 18 balls, hammering five boundaries. Gouda, a right handed batter from Hyderabad, was unfortunately run out in the 10th over, however the duo had ensured that they had created a solid base for their team. The two played some good-looking shots and ran well between the wickets. Shreehari Madyalkar, who came in to bat at number five also mustered 27 runs off 32 balls. During his patient innings, Madyalkar peppered the boundary rope three times as he hit three fours in his knock. City XI Cricket Club put together 130-6 in 20 overs.
A score like 130 is often a tricky one as the chasing team does not have a clear idea of whether they should go after the bowling from ball one or take their time to get their eye in. Gadwal Cricket Club, in reply, fought hard as they fell shy of just five runs in the end. City XI Cricket Club snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat. First with the bat and then with the ball, Gouda of City XI Cricket Club was the wrecker-in-chief as he scalped 4-30 in his 3.5 overs. Gouda picked three wickets in the 20th over of the match. With seven runs to get off the last five balls and four wickets in hand, the odds were in Gadwal Cricket Club’s favour. However Gouda had other plans as he cleaned up the tail in style. For Gadwal Cricket Club, G Ganesh, who came in to bat at number three, top scored with 28 runs off 22 balls, including three boundaries and a six.
DSA Bhusawal batting first on MK Sports Ground in Jalgaon scored a total of 160/7 in 20 overs. Siddarth Nakka at no.7 top scored with 46 runs off 28 balls. From the bowlers, Lavkesh Desmukh with 2/17 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot.
While chasing a huge target in a T20 Finals, the team was trailing behind with 20-5 on the scoreboard. The pressure was certainly on the chasing team and DSA Bhusawal looked favorites for a comfortable win. However, the script got changed for DNCC Faizpur as Siddhesh Gawande from there on changed the gears to help DNCC win the Finals of the Shield. Coming in at no.4, Siddhesh guided his team with an unbeaten 83* off 52 balls laced with 9 fours and 4 sixes to help DNCC Faizpur win by 4 wickets to become the tournament champions. Siddhesh was well supported by Anand Jagtap at the lower order who scored a crucial 48 off 32 balls.

MV Rao Cricket Academy and Iqbal U14 locked horns against each other at Green View in Hyderabad during the Pongal Cup on January 10. Winning the toss and electing to field first, Iqbal U14 restricted MV Rao Cricket Academy to a modest 128-8 in 20 overs. In reply, Iqbal U14 chased down the target in 19.3 overs, winning the match by six wickets. Iqbal U14’s Aryan Reddy won the player of the match award for his stellar performance with both bat and ball. He was also declared as the best batsman of the match.
Opening the batting for Iqbal U14, Aryan, a right handed batter, scored 54 runs off 51 balls, including two boundaries and a six, at a strike rate of 105.88. Given his low boundary percentage, Aryan was more dependent on running between the wickets. He stitched an 82-run partnership for the second wicket with his captain Gprem (40), which took the game away from the opposition. The duo ensured that their team was in a comfortable position to win the match. Prior to putting up a scintillating show with the bat, Aryan, who is a right arm leg spinner, picked up 1-12 in his three overs, including 11 dot balls. He is eyeing a place in Hyderabad U14 team.
“The wicket was a bit difficult to bat on. There were some cracks as well as dew on the wicket. There was some odd bounce which did not make batting easy. My role was to be there and ensure that my team was home safely. While we lost our first wicket early, I partnered with my captain to steady the ship. I played every ball on its merit and punished the loose balls if there were any. Prior to my batting, with the ball, I picked up 1-12 in three overs. I used the conditions that suited the bowlers well.”, Aryan told CricketGraph.
Aryan Reddy is a good all-rounder and with good performances in tournaments like these, he can certainly make a strong case for himself in getting selected for Hyderabad U14 team. He said, “I am training daily and also playing as many practice matches as possible. I want to be a good all-rounder and I want to represent my state team soon.”

On January 9, during one of the league matches of Flying Monkey Cricket League, Ambati Bala Sowreddy from Vintage Spaces – Kolkata 2 muscled a blistering 80 not out off just 35 balls, smashing 11 boundaries and four sixes. The 26-year old right handed batter had an envious strike rate of 228.57 as he went berserk after the opposition’s bowling attack. He steered his team to a daunting total of 208-5 in 20 overs against Stellars – Punjab 2 at Sadashiva Cricket Club in Hyderabad. He played a pivotal role in his team’s 78-run win over the Stellars. He played some good looking shots in his innings and kept the bowlers at bay with his powerful batting ability.
“I missed a lot of cricket due to injuries over the last three to four years. In order to make up for the lost time I was determined to give my best everytime I stepped onto the field. I had an ACL tear as well as 20 stitches in my left leg. I last played professional cricket in 2016. I was making a comeback after almost four years. I am glad that I had a good game as I scored 80 not out off 35 balls, coming in two down,” Bala told to CricketGraph.
In the same match, he also bowled one over and gave away seven runs. Apart from his stellar batting performances in this tournament, he has had some great performances with the bat in the past. He has scored as many as four centuries in T20 cricket, including the best of 170 off just 74 balls. Apart from his phenomenal batting, Bala has been immaculate on the field as well as he has taken some screamers.
In the past, Bala has represented Krishna University at the University level cricket tournaments twice that is in 2014-15 and 2015-16. He was also selected as one of the stand-by players for South Zone for the Vizzy Trophy, a BCCI affiliated tournament which has the best University players from East, West, North and South Zones.
Bala’s grit and determination to make a comeback after suffering from several injuries is unequivocally commendable.
In the match which took place between two promising sides namely Jahangir Pithawala and Lalchand Rajput XI, Jahangir Pithawala XI batting first posted a mammoth total on board posting 577/6 dec in 122 overs. The match witnessed 3 centurions right from Pranav Kela top scoring in the match with an impressive 136* off 224 balls (16 fours). Apart from Pranav, Omkar Jadhav was the 2nd highest scorer with a knock of 131 runs off 91 balls (15 fours and 3 sixes). Armaan Jaffer also played a stylish knock of 110 runs off 171 balls (11 fours, 3 sixes) followed by half centuries by Sahil Jadhav (73 runs) and Rugved More (59 runs).
Lalchand Rajput XI in reply scored 306/10 in 94.2 overs courtesy their top order batsman Bhupen Lalwani who top scored for his team with 92 runs off 157 balls (15 fours). Suved Parkar also scored a valiant half century smashing 82 runs off 170 balls (12 fours). The match ended in a draw with Jahangir Pithawala winning the match on 1st innings lead.
Captain of Real Cricket Academy U16, Ayush Patil impressed everyone by his all round performance and helped his team win it versus the JD Sports Club 11 team in Patil Chashak 2022. The match was played at Western Railway , Cross Maidan.
The toss was won by Real Cricket Academy U16 and thay decided to bat first. Wherein the Real Cricket Academy looked in some sort of trouble. It was Kaustubh (11 overs, 36 runs, 4 wickets) and Chirag Modak ( 9.5 overs, 41 runs, 3 wickets) who put them in trouble. But all thanks to Avinash (66 runs, 54 balls, 5 fours 4 sixes) and Ayush Patil (44 runs, 41 balls, 6 fours) who came to the rescue.
The Real Cricket Academy U16 all together scored 210 in 46.5 overs in the first innings losing all their wickets. In reply the JD Sports Club 11 scored 223 in 44 overs losing 4 wickets in their first innings. Then came in Real Cricket Academy U16 to bat again in their second innings and this time scoring 191 runs for 8 wickets in 33 overs with Gajendra Ambokar, scoring 52 off 44 balls.
In their second innings, the JD Sports Club 11 were restricted only for a score of 123 runs losing all 10 wickets in 28 overs and Real Cricket Academy U16 won the match on 2nd innings lead by 44 runs. It was Ayush Patil’s fifer that breaked their spine and due to his fantastic performance he was Declared as the Player of the Match.
