Delhi Challengers Junior’s batter Ayush Tripathi scored a delectable century on February 22 during the Greenfield Cricket Tournament, a 40-over competition, playing against Jaipur based Unique Cricket Academy. The right handed batter smashed an unbeaten 101 off just 56 balls, including 14 boundaries and three sixes. He helped his side post a mammoth score of 365-7 in 40 overs.
Ayush told CricketGraph, “We lost early wickets and it was important for somebody to consolidate the innings. I went in to bat at number six and tried to get myself in. The wicket was not that easy to bat on. My aim was to spend time in the middle and play each ball on its merit. After hitting the century, I was very happy, I was able to rescue my team from a crunch situation.”
Ayush’s 101 not out turned out to be a match winning knock as his team, Delhi Challengers Junior beat Unique Cricket Academy by 267 runs. At the end of the tournament, Ayush won the player of the series for mustering 146 runs and picking by nine wickets bowling right arm leg spin in the three matches. Being the captain of the team, he led from the front, and clinched a 3-0 win against Unique Cricket Academy.
Played at Youth’s Own Union, Cross Maidan in Mumbai, Repro India Ltd. after being put to bat first were all out for 120 runs in 35.1 overs. Experienced fast bowler Swapnil Bandiwar who has also played Ranji Trophy for Vidarbha brought in all his experience with an impressive bowling spell of 5/33 in 9 overs including 2 maidens. Apart from Swapnil, Nitesh and Sahil bagged 2 wkts each.

Chasing 121, PR AG (L&R) chased down the total with ease winning the match by 8 wickets. Opener Rohan Gajjar scored 45 runs while it was Nikhil Patil who anchored the team towards the victory line with an unbeaten knock of 51* in just 26 deliveries, a knock which included 9 fours and a six.
Played at Somaiya Cricket Ground in Mumbai, Hemant Tools Tornadoes after being put to bat first managed to post a total of 114/10 in 16.5 overs. Spottlightt bowlers did a terrific job with the ball with Abhishek and Shreepad taking 8 wkts together in their 8 overs. Abhishek was spot on with his bowling returning with envious bowling figures of 5/20 in 4 overs. On the other hand, Shreepad Khedekar took 3/17 in 4 overs.
Spottlightt Social Scorchers in reply did receive a tough fight however they crossed the victory line in the penultimate over. From Hemant Tools Tornadoes, Sachin Deshpande gave his everything bagging 4wkts for 20 runs his spell of 4 overs. All-Rounder Abhishek Jhaveri certainly owned the match with his all round impact as he also contributed with the bat smashing 40* off 41 balls to guide his team towards an emphatic 4 wkt win.

Ace Cricket Club opting to bat first at Western Railway Cricket Ground in Mumbai posted a total of 200/6 in 20 overs. Opener Abhay Sharma gave a flying start to the innings while also stitched a crucial 122 run stand with Daiwat Rane who scored 46 runs. Abhay Sharma top scored in the match as he went on to score a swashbuckling 110 runs off mere 56 balls smashing 6 fours and 8 sixes at a strike rate of 196.43.
Misfits in reply found it difficult to get going managing only 104/9 in 20 overs. The bowlers were spot on with Niraj Bajaj and Rahul Shejwal bagging 3 wkts each.

Played at Oval Maidan in Mumbai between Dilip Vensarkar Club vs Shiv Seva Cricket Club, Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy after being put to bat first posted a massive total of 372/4 in 35 overs. Opener Rohan Karandikar and Jatin at the middle order smashed crucial half centuries while it was Ashmith Kashyap at no.3 who top scored in the match with a brilliant innings of 148 runs in 94 balls. Ashmith dominated the bowlers head on covering almost every corner of the ground with his impressive strokeplay.
Shiv Seva Cricket Club in reply were all out for 118 runs in 35 overs courtesy a disciplined bowling performance from the Vengsarkar bowlers.

Delhi’s Mayank Rawat created history on February 25 as he plundered a blistering 408 not out off just 139 balls in a 40-overs match against Delhi Titans during the City of Gold Cup tournament held in Noida. Playing for Sehgal Cricket Club, Rawat, 22, muscled a humungous score as he simply thrashed the opposition bowling attack. His entertaining knock was embellished with a whopping sum of 32 boundaries and 38 sixes.
Rawat told CricketGraph, “Usually I bat in the middle order bat, but that day, I was asked to open the batting. When I went in to bat, my intention was to play fearless cricket. I had never imagined in the wildest of my thoughts that someday I would score 400 runs in a one-day game. The wicket was good to bat on as the ball was nicely coming on to the bat. I simply enjoyed myself and this innings will forever be remembered by me.”
Riding on Rawat’s 408, Sehgal Cricket Club posted a gigantic total of 643-1 in 40 overs and went on to win the match by 547 runs.
At present, Mayank Rawat, who is a right handed middle order batter and a right arm off spinner plays for Delhi senior state team. He has already been a part of Delhi U-19 and Delhi U-25 teams in the past. In 2017, he represented India U-19 under the captainship of Prithvi Shaw against England U-19.
Played at Somaiya Cricket Ground in Mumbai, Ace Cricket Club opting to bat first posted a total of 191/4 in 20 overs. Opener Ankit Jain and Abhay Sharma (43 runs) gave a brilliant opening start of 143 runs for the 1st wicket while Ankit Jain went on to convert his good start into an aggressive innings of 83 runs in 55 balls. Ankit smashed 11 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 150.91 taking his team to a strong position.
The Sky Hawks in reply gave a tough fight eventually falling short of 2 runs in the penultimate over as they reached a total of 189/4 in 20 overs. Opener Vishal Sonawane scored 88 runs off 61 balls and Omkar Sadigale scored 54 runs off 30 balls. From the bowlers, Abhishek Jhaveri with 0/31 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot while Sanjay Dalvi took 2 wkts for 40 runs.

Captain and opening Batsman Ojas Mehta brought in his experience once again with a spending knock of 75 runs in 61 balls, a knock which included 8 fours and 2 sixes. From the bowlers, Ankit Shah with 2/31 was the pick of the lot.
JC Four Oaks Spartans in reply chased down the score in just 19.4 overs winning the match by 6 wkts. The openers Vikram Dani and Ajay Walanju gave a flying start with 74 runs partnership in the first 9 overs. Vikram Dani top scored for his team with 47 runs off 40 balls while Vijay Singh at the middle order scored a crucial 35 runs off 20 balls which included 4 fours and a six. Sumiran Mehta’s efforts behind the stumps as well as with the bat were equally commendable as he played a crucial role in finishing the game for JC Four Oaks Spartans.

On 25th February 2022, The Harris Shield Tournaments match was played at the Parsi Gymkhana, Marine Lines. It was played between Don Bosco High School, Matunga and Swami Vivekananda International, Kandivali.
Winning the toss, the Don Bosco elected to bat first. Openers Varun Doshi and Soham Salvi gave a good start to their team. Varun Doshi, scored 62 runs off 86 balls and Soham Salvi scored, 61 off 97 balls. Also, Shravan Mhatre’s quickfire knock of 46 runs off 26 balls, helped Don Bosco School reach a total of 247 in 45 overs losing 3 wickets. Kartik Patankar of the Swami Vivekananda International bowled 9 overs, giving away 49 runs and bagging 2 wickets.
Having a target score of 248 runs, the Swami Vivekananda International came in to bat. The openers came in to bat, but were unable to give their team a good start and as a result, the Swami Vivekananda International team were restricted on a score of 206 runs losing all their wickets. The left arm slow bowler Arnav Gupta of Don Bosco bagged 4 wickets in 9 overs, giving away just 26 runs. Arya Gandhi and Sai Nayak also bagged 2-2 Wickets. As a result, the Don Bosco School won the match by 41 runs.
Played at GDCA Ground in Swami Sahajanand College in Ghazipur, Vedant Cricket Academy opting to bat first made a total of 157/7 in 20 overs with Aditya Chauhan’s 24 ball 47 being the highest score. From the bowlers, Sundaram Yadav with 2/26 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot.
RDS Cricket Academy Azamgarh in reply chased down the total in 16.2 overs winning the match in a commanding fashion by 8 wickets. Captain and opener Ankit Pandey played a match winning knock of 90* in 48 balls while Vishwakant Yadav who came at no.3 played the perfect supporting role smashing 41 off 27 balls. Vishwakant and Ankit stitched a match winning 90 run partnership which helped the team win the match by 8 wickets and almost 4 overs to spare.
