Opener Ishan Malaviya top scored in the match with an impressive knock of 79 runs in 85 balls, a knock which included 8 boundaries. Opener Shiv Narayan gave a good start scoring 46 runs while it was Navdeep Tomar at no.6 who played a game changing innings smashing a quickfire 63 off just 33 balls. On March 8 and 9, Repro India locked horns against Space Sports Club at Matunga Gymkhana in Mumbai during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. Repro India won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Put in to bat, Space Sports Club were bowled out for 168 in 46.3 overs. Sumit Markali wreaked havoc with the ball for Repro India as he scalped 5-40. Yash Mahale was the other bowler, who picked up 3-58, making useful contributions with the ball.
Markali, a right arm fast bowler, told CricketGraph, “The wicket was good to bat on but there was some assistance for the fast bowlers with the new ball. I was determined to bowl in the right areas on a consistent basis for which I yielded rich dividends.”
