Played at DPC Matunga Gymkhana in Mumbai, Rizvi College opting to bat first dominated Siddarth College bowlers in every corner of the ground smashing a record total of 506/7 runs in 34 overs. Attacking Left-Handed Opener Karan Shah gave a flying start to the innings smashing a quickfire 86 off 50 balls, a knock which included 9 fours and 5 sixes. Karan and Suryansh Shedge at no.5 also stitched a massive 207 run stand for 4th wicket where in Suryansh top scored in the match with a brilliant 117 off mere 44 balls making it one of the fastest hundreds of the tournament. Suryansh smashed 17 fours and 6 sixes while Pragnesh Kanpillewar (51 runs) and Vedant Murkar (84 runs) also smashed crucial half centuries.

Siddarth College in reply were all out for 174 runs with all-rounder Suryansh Shedge owning the match with the ball too coming up with match winning bowling performance of 5/48 in 7 overs helping Rizvi College win the match by a record 332 runs.

Axel Sports Academy which has grown leaps and bounds in the last few years continues to make a strong presence and this time it’s their team reaching the finals in Rajkot U16 Tournament. Karma Cricket Academy opting to bat first at Saurashtra University Ground posted a total of 95/10 in 25.3 overs. Vishvarajsinh Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers returning with bowling figures of 3/22 in 5 overs.
Axel Sports Academy in reply chased down the score in 17.3 overs winning the match by 4 wkts. Opener Nikhil Chhatria top scored for his team with a well made 46 off 41 balls which helped him bag ‘man of the match’ award.

Axel Sports Academy had performed well in the quarters too where in two of their players rose to the occasion. Manjeet Kumkhaniya had bowled a superb spell of 5/9 in 5 overs including a maiden while with the bat, it was Radhe Bhimani who scored a match winning 52* off 57 balls coming at no.3 which helped Axel Sports Academy win by 7wkts.

ICC Level 2 Cricket Coach from Morbi, Nishant Jani adds one more feather to his cap as he gets appointed as the Head Coach in Saurashtra Women’s T20 League. Nishant will be the Head Coach of Team Red in Women’s T20 League which will namely have 4 teams: Team Red, Team Green, Team Yellow and Team Blue.
The practice camp for the tournament was held from 6th to 8TH March while the league matches will be played on 9th, 10th while finals will be played on 12th of March, 2022.

President Jaydev Shah of SCA & the entire Saurashtra Cricket Association have done a great initiative by organizing selection matches for women cricketers and highlighting their determination to take women’s cricket forward alongwith men’s cricket. Jaydev Shah, the former Saurashtra Captain and SCA President is now also the newly elected Team Manager of the Indian Cricket Team.

Summer Camps in Cricket are an integral part of a cricketer’s growing up years, it is during these camps, a cricketer goes through many rigorous things and learns many new lessons which help them to become better Cricketers. Summer Camps ideally involve a lot of cricketing activities right from practice matches to fitness drills to improvement in technique and mindset which helps a cricketer to prepare for the upcoming seasons.
One such exciting summer camp which is to begin from 20th April to 30th May over a period of 40 days is at the SGCA-SKCA Cricket Academy in Shegaon. It’s a 40 day intensive summer camp in Shegaon under World Class facilities under the supervision of Prolific Cricket Coach Sulakshan Kulkarni (Former Mumbai Ranji Player & Former Mumbai Ranji Coach).
The summer camp will involve scientific and professional training from qualified and experienced coaches while special emphasis will be put on fitness and cricket drills. The Summer Camp at SGCA-SKCA Academy begins from 20th April, 2022 to 30th May 2022. The timings for the camp will be morning 6:30 to 8:30 am and evening 4:30 to 6:30 pm. The fees for 40 day entire summer camp is Rs 3500/- including Academy Jersey/Uniform while those who want to attend double sessions in a day for the entire camp, the fees is Rs 5000/-

On March 4, Reliance Securities took on Thane Municipal Corporation during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. Thane Municipal Corporation won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Batting first, Reliance Securities posted a mammoth total of 447-7 in 34 overs, riding on Atif Khan’s scintillating century and Navin Patil’s delectable half-century. While Khan plundered an unbeaten 136 off just 72 balls, including 17 boundaries and four sixes, Patil muscled 77. The other major contributors with the bat were Chetan Suvarna (45 runs) and Bharat Singh (43 runs).
In reply, Thane Municipal Corporation were bundled out for a paltry 112 in 19.5 overs, losing the match by 335 runs. Pradeep Dodiya top scored with 37 but was unable to find able allies to lead the run chase. Reliance Securities’ Saurabh Ankush was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped four wickets conceding no runs.
Reliance Securities’ star batter Atif Khan was the top performer in the match and played an integral role in steering his side to a 335-run win over Thane Municipal Corporation.

Played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, it was the all important finals between IES New English School Bandra vs IES VN Sule Guruji Dadar. IES VN Sule Guruji batting first posted a total of 197 runs in 1st innings with Dharsh Murkute top scoring with 55 runs. From the bowlers, it was Agasthya Bangera who returned with exceptional bowling figures of 5/57.
In reply, IES New English School were all out for 187 runs in their 1st innings as VN Sule took a 10 innings lead. IES VN Sule in the 2nd innings were all out for 171 runs giving a target of 182 to IES New English School.
Chasing 182, IES lost some quick top order wickets making it a pressure situation on the final Day 3 at Wankhede. With scoreboard reading 47/3 at one stage, it was Aarush Patankar who showed brilliant composure as he went on to anchor the chase with a match winning knock of 95*off 90 balls (9 fours). Aarush was well supported by Anant Desai and Arjun Baigatkar with whom he stitched crucial cameos.

Also, City-based Cricketers’ Foundationon Saturday gave Rs 15,000 to each player of the winning team and Rs 10,000 to each player of the runners-up team. The cheques were handed out to both the teams’ captains by Amit Gadkari, one of the trustees of the Cricketers’ Foundations. Eighteen cricketers from champions IES New English received Rs 15,000 each from the Cricketers’ Foundation, while runners-up IES Sule Guruji players were presented Rs 10,000 each.
Om Sai Cricket Club batting first at Palande Cricket Ground in Neral posted a total of 171/4 in 34 overs. Shoumik Hajarnis top scored with 67 runs off 48 balls while Aadesh Yadav from JP Sports was the pick of the lot from the bowlers. Aadesh provided crucial breakthroughs not allowing the opposition team to settle and reach a big total as he returned with impactful bowling figures of 6/29 in 6 overs.
J.P Sports in reply chased down the score successfully winning the match by 5 wkts. Wicket-keeper batsman Rohan Karandikar anchored the chase with a match winning 79 off 65 balls smashing 10 boundaries while he was well supported by Sanjeev Dubey who remained unbeaten on 39*
Coach Kadir Patel shared “Adesh took 10 wkts in 3 matches, he is a very promising kid, he comes from a very modest background and I am trying to back him up as much as possible, we are not charging any fees from him either, he has that spark and most importantly he is a very hard working kid”
The match between Ruaraka Sports club and SCLPS A was comfortably won by Ruaraka . Pushkar Sharma yet again provided an all-round show to lead the team to a victory.
Winning the toss , SCLPS A chose to bowl, a decision which turned costly to them. Opening the innings for Ruaraka, Pushkar made his intentions clear. Coming back from India, the southpaw played with great caution. Taking calculated risks he displayed his shots which cleared the ropes. Hitting 10 fours and one towering six, he smashed a quick 76 runs off 59 balls. Pushkar held one end of the innings firmly until he was dismissed in the penultimate over. His fighting knock helped Ruaraka reach to 176 runs in 20 overs
Furthermore , the southpaw, who bowls medium pace also scalped 2 wickets for Ruaraka. His all round performance helped his team win the match by 29 runs and earned him the much deserved Man of the Match award.
